During 2019 the cabines of the a330 will be redone. With the new cabines of the planes (B777, B787) Air France is a fantastic company

Bruh no, I was in economy on a 777 the flight was full and they added more seats even though that was not allowed.

Wow, quite the flight! I flew this same route in the winter on the 777, suffice to say it was one of my best flights. Crew were nice, and food was awesome too...
Great review! AF does bring the 772 to Bangalore during the winter schedule. Pity that the 332 is in such poor condition. Keep up the good work!

Now, this same route is again operated by a Boeing 777
I flew in their A340 but in Premium Economy and really enjoyed it, only time i've flown Air France, hoping to fly their A380 one day. Great video!

I believe AF is gradually refurbishing their A330s with the same seats that are on the 787. I think it's just bad luck that you got a non-refurbished one. It won't be long until their entire long haul fleet has up to date cabins.

Heathrow Flyer Yes Pilot training is in process, but am doing my training slowly than usual at the moment, I upload once every month but that’s due to change to possibly one every 2-3 months
Fantastic trip report mate, really enjoyed it, seemed like the service was awful... them seats didn’t look very comfortable, the cabin looked dated and the IFE looked well.. terrible, sorry to hear you didn’t have a good flight but Air France could do much better then That, at least you landed on time and the meal didn’t look too bad, big like enjoyed watching another trip report from you, excited for more! :D

I took Air France's 777 from Chicago to Paris and it was amazing. Then coming home on the A330 it was awful. Such a huge difference. It's hard to believe it's the same airline. Solid video.

Really interesting and detailed review. Sad that the flight was not particularly comfortable. Seems to be an example of the difference between new and old aircraft perhaps.

Alex Aviation In General I quite like to fly on the A330 as well. Wouldn’t fly on one with Air France again though, the condition of the aircraft was terrible.

This felt exactly like the Alitalia flight I took in 2018 to Rome, the TV screen was small, I cant even control the IFE, even a kid was SCREAMING the paw patrol intro. Basically I just sat there for 12 hours bored.
Wonderful Trip Report mate although the fact that only the last 3 window seats are free is just RIDICULOUS! Just like you I found the film options rather limited and nothing interesting for me either.
Transportfan2 More and more airlines start doing that sadly.. Limiting free window seats and selling the other ones for crazy high prices

I took this flight on may 2019. The economy seats didn't have any space at all. But the cabin crew were fantastic and service was awesome. We felt like we had a buffet on the flight. Other than it's pretty decent for it's price.
Also, IFE is similar to the one seen in British Airways 747-400 (the older ones)

Once again great video! The IFE looked like some kind of useless school conputer.. Might sound a bit harsh but Air France uses the A330 mainly to Africa and India.. So there might be missing motivation to keep the aircraft in good condition for those routes. There is not much competition to those regions.. Differnt like to the USA and other Asian countries.. At least you've got some great headphones and the sleeping mask was great too! Still makes me fear to fly AF on long haul probably soon..
Flight Time Thanks for Watching and Commenting Mate! Everything was bad about this flight pretty much. Yeah I can see, it’s been doing pretty much every African Country. Just surprising to see it fly to BLR though, India’s Technology capital so it’s a high yield route - there is plenty of competition as well through the ME3 and BA/LH/9W for flights to the USA. I actually had a great experience on the 777. So I’d still fly them Long Haul but just not on the A330 or Joon...
Depends what you value really. Maybe not the best IFE but if legroom a service/catering is good, many passengers will be happy
Flight Time they use A330 to Chicago too. And they are changing to B777 to Bangalore soon...cause I'm travelling to Chicago with Air France in Jan.
Air France even use a330 to China, but only one city during spring and winter.
I know my comment is a year after yours but today almost all of the A330s have the new cabin.
Hey mate, thanks for posting this! If you didn't know, Air France deploys the A332 to Bangalore during their summer schedule. The rest of the year is served by a 777-200. Hope next time you catch the 777 haha. Cheers and thanks for the review.
Hi, Welcome to the Channel! It’s rather surprising that they send it during the winter, I was expecting it to be busier during the summer season especially with summer holidays... Glad you liked it!
Heathrow Flyer it is pretty surprising to all of us as well. But I think their ideology is to deploy the 777 on an even busier route.
But most of the major international carriers ( except Emirates, Qatar and Lufthansa) that fly to Bangalore deploy older aircraft. I took the 777 Air France last year from here so I was pretty disappointed to see their A330 in this condition in your review. I thought it’d be better
Even British Airways used to send their extremely old 777-200 to Bangalore for a long time , which they have very recently upgraded to the newer 777-300. Same with Singapore airlines - they continue using an absolutely old and outdated 777-200 to Bangalore even though Singapore is the second highest passenger yielding destination from Bangalore.
They will eventually upgrade it to a 787-9/10 or an A350 once they phase these out.
Even Etihad used to deploy their A-320s here ( weird as the other two MEC deployed 777) but now it’s changed to 4 days a week 777 or 787 and 3 days a week A320
I stopped flying AF in 2016. Uncomfortable seats and broken IFE. Sore knees and sore neck when I got off the plane. Now I take turkish airline every chance I can.

Lol my first flight ever on Air France was on their a340s! Don't remember the complete service but I remember that the IFE was even more limited than now.

Wow that does seem very disappointing , it would be so much better if it was a newer aircraft like a 777 or 787 ! Just wondering what made you so late for boarding ? My guess would be a delay from the last flight , anyways awesome work as always !

Ah Air France, other than the refurbished 777 they are all old cabin on longhaul, nice report
Paris to Bangalore on A330 in 2016 was my worst flight ever. 0 leg room, Seat can hardly recline, I had neck pain for days. and the service was meh.
Thankfully they now operate with A350, I hope the service is on par with that airplane.

Well, looked like rather bad flight for you. Especially the entertainment system looked pretty outdated and the legroom compared to other airlines way to tight for a long haul flight. But thanks for sharing this with us so that we know how the af 330 really is - thumbs up!

even i had a very bad experience with air france in 2018 from paris to bombay.
they gave one operator called JOAN very absurd services that was my first and last flight with air france.
travel with qatar airways or emirates .....
For India Air France use old aircrafts with old cabin. But on other destinations with new cabins it's a great airline
I can relate airfrance flies awful A330 planes to BLR I flew it and it was a 9 hr nightmare my IFE wasn’t broken
I have been to a330 of Air France, I think it was good not that bad. However not so happy with the 3 hours delay.
Personally I’ve had some great flights with Air France but this one was awful, service was rude and the cabin in horrible condition :)
Air France is about to update its a 330s this fall and next year one year late. Thats not all Air France a 380s have to updated to.

Am a bit confused.. at 7.32 you said "Drinks were only brought round once in 2 hours and service was poor" .. you surely don't expect trolley service constantly through the flight? it would cause agro to other passengers who are trying to sleep! Then 2 minutes later you mention the free service in the galley... I don't see how that makes for poor service considering that food and drinks are available whenever you want... nothing to stop a passenger from getting up and pick up something for himself/herself. I don't think the comment about poor service is fair.
I did not consider that to be the reason for the service to be poor - but, instead the careless and almost racist treatment towards passengers with one word answers to any question and a clearly arrogant tone. I don't really mention service in my reviews, especially the ones following this, and this was the worst I've experienced.
I think your a bit too harsh, and plus every plane usually has the blanket and pillow already there!
F-GZCH was the worst Air France plane until they refurbished all the A330s

Nothing looks interesting about this plane. Its so sad that AF deploys the A330-200 to Africa and some parts of Asia. They don't take flying that way serious to say the least.

You never showed us a good shot of the ENTIRE seat. This review is very badly done. On a long flight the ,most important thing we want to see is the SEAT

Air France’s old fleet is awful. I flown on one of their oldest B777-300ER before, it’s terrible. It looks almost the same as the A330 you flown on, with terrible service and food. Newer fleets are better, probably.

Cabins don’t have to be 20 year old though and look like they are falling apart? For the money they are paying, customers can just fly another airline...

When I went on air France it wasn’t even that bad so don’t over exaggerate it!
I’ve flown on Air France 10 times and more than 260 times in total so I know what a bad experience is! If you saw the points I made about what was actually bad then you would get a better insight!
