Ann was probably 73 years old here..She'll be 74 this year..To hear a younger Ann listen to HEARTS song "Barracuda" or Crazy On You" or "Magic Man" or "Alone" to name a few of their hit songs...The band took of in the mid 70's..Ann has always been the Gold standard for female Rock Vocalists...And her sister Nancy Wilson is one of the greatest female guitarists..
Absolutely agree. I would also add their live cover of Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center Honors of Led Zepplin with Jon Bonhams son on drums. The only cover of the song Robert Plant said he enjoyed.
The song is about the divorce of the lead guitarist of Disturbed, and then a few months later the lead singer's (bald guy singing) marriage fell apart so he is feeling those lyrics. As for the female singer, she's older but Ann Wilson is widely viewed as the greatest female hard rock singer ever, and she still has one of the most kickass voices in rock. She and her band called Heart are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The male singer David Draiman is also one of the best rock vocalists currently active. Don't blame you for not knowing this if you don't follow rock music and I know you didn't mean anything by it, but if you do profess to know about rock music I'd maybe go lighter joking about age when she is without a doubt rock music royalty. I hope I can be as incredible at anything when I'm older as she is at singing.
Ann Wilson is LEGENDARY!!! Every time I hear that woman sing I get chills. Like Sean stated she is like rock royalty. Her voice in her prime was bone-chilling and so incredible. Love seeing you learn the classic things that a lot of us grew up with. Sound of Silence on Conan for Disturbed. Crazy on You is one of my fav Heart tunes for Ann's voice. My personal opinion of course. :)
I wish this song had featured a little more of Ann's vocals, she's amazing. They are a cappella, like Home Free but instead of country they are more pop. They’ve been together since 2011 and have over 21 million subscribers, over 6 billion views. 5 Grammy nominations and 3 wins and a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. Welcome to the #dirturbedones, as the fans of Disurbed are known. My first intro to Disturbed was the Sound Of Silence originally done by Simon and Garfunkel. It was so good that Paul Simon told David Draiman (Disturbed's lead singer) that it was his song now. I would suggest the music video but the live performance on Conan is good too. David was battling the flu but in spite of it he performed anyway. Masterful performance. Great reaction as always, ladies!
