OMG i would pay high price just to get atleast 1 PEMCO FishHead, but i think you will not sell any if you had spare of them? They are quite still common in Canada especially in Ontario but under the name of EPAC FishHead and in Quebec the GE Form 250ib FishHead.
Hi,can you tell me the name and model of the the parking lot lights that are oval shaped and very futuristic? The lense and housing are a sleek oval. I had seen one in a video but can’t remember the name of it. They are from the 50’s
It is common to see it in Canada then the USA back in the 1960s and early 1970s when I went to Canada with my family when I was a kid. Today, all street lights throughout Canada are now LED. Back in those days, going through customs was easy by a man in the booth of the customs does asked a few questions, like: “Are you all a US Citizens?” Answer: Yes, What place are you all going? Answer: Owen Sound Ontario at the Georgian Bay, and How long are you folks are staying in Canada? Answer: 14 Days. Today, the customs are restricted and they can check your passports, check your vehicle, and asked the occupants to leave the vehicle for a few minutes for anything suspicious, and a hassle.
I’ve seen a few of these in Chester pa and I live in Philly so I’m really close but I think Chester is all hps and led now and Chester had A LOT of mercury vapor
Hi love the videos! how do you go about acquiring so many of these lights? If you don’t mind me asking. I usually end up piecing together light fixtures from downed poles that I come across 😂
are there companies that still sell mercury vapor street lights or street lights that require light bulbs because most of the street light companies that have these models dont sell mercury vapor eany more
I've been in a moving process and have been working a lot of hours. I have many more videos planned for the future however for now just wait patiently. I have new amazing videos that will be here soon.
@The Streetlight Channel regular hps doesn't work on mercury vapor unless you use a HPS conversion lamp. For regular hps you need an igniter, which mercury vapor ballasts don't have. So you can't do that unfortunately.
@@thestreetlightchannel3945 Are you sure they just aren't hps conversion lamps? They have a special neon gas inside them that helps the lamp ignite without any real ignitor.
This is the standard and only version. It has the fin because of the wattage. The ones without the in are 240v versions. The 120V versions need the fin. If there were different versions they would be completely different.
@luiscoelho4151 The fin exist for 400 watt versions only that are designed for 120V. Ot holds the capacitor inside. I explained this stuff in the video.
I’m so happy that younger people like yourself are passionate about these older forms of electric lights. They lit up this Nation for decades and have unfortunately been replaced with garbage LED’s. I’m almost 50 and I hate the LED’s my local communities have switched to. Thank you for the videos!

Unless I see a picture of it I wouldn't be able to tell you.
Very cool streetlight! It kinda looks like a GE-M400.
Thanks!
I can see the similarities. Almost how an M-1000 resembles a bucket style light.
Thats a very terrifying noise ( 23:48 ) & ( 23:56 )

I've seen these in the Langhorne area on Lincoln Highway, though they're gone thanks to LED.
I have a question in this finn inside they have a capacitor like Westinghouse: OV15, 25, 50 and GE: M1000 or not?
But yeah that's really beautifull i guess this shape are made for pathway cut off (anti glare) to not disturb neighboor's houses

Very unique. I can't say I've ever seen one of these before.
Are you selling any high pressure sodium street lights ?
No I don't really collect any hps fixtures much. So I don't have any to sell at all.
High pressure sodium can also work on mv ballasts since hps is a retrofit for mv
