i've often wondered how many people ignore the gun free zones signs and actually carry for their own protection. wonder if an accurate survey could be word-smithed to reveal some honest trends.
It's not easy to stop these shootings. It stops the good people from taking their families to these fun places. The justice system doesn't punish these terrorists enough. Things were so different when my kids were small. Going to the World's Fair , the Beach , the Playlands , the Zoo , the Aquarium etc. What happened ? Disregard for life and hatred for people having a good time. It's all gone. Families can still do these things but at their own risks. That's no way to live.
Maybe a vacation in the mountains with a cabin and fishing and boating and swimming and not a lot of people around would be safer for families to be entertained.
As far as water parks , carnival's
and board walks are concerned, you need to have eyes in the back of your head.

God forbid that the courts should be able to take away a gun from a family member that assaults a spouse even thought they are 500% more likely to be killed than victims of spousal abuse where no firearm is present. That is I am guessing because it is harder to kill someone with a knife or a lamp. The gun just makes it easy and fast. But heaven forbid that the courts be allowed to hold the individual's gun until some remediation (counseling or some other intervention) take place. As compared to other press releases I see where all the officials all stand around and congratulating each other on their response and only say " can't answer that , it's still under investigation B.S. " when the public needs to know if their families are safe again. It appears the Police, Fire/Rescue/Medical did an outstanding job responding and getting these victims outstanding immediate medical treatment.
