@@babybeel6469 I think in this part of the story Unohana could have beaten Aizen. I'm not talking about Aizen after he fused with the Hogyoku, i'm talking about Soul Society Aizen. The reason is Unohana's strength was always linear throughout the story, which means she never powered up as time went on like Aizen did. So if she used Bankai right away she would be as strong as when she fought Kenpachi before Kenpachi killed her. I think she would be even stronger too if she used Kido and Hoho which she didn't use against Kenpachi. Which to me seems strong enough to kill this version of Aizen.

I love this joke. But there's a flaw. Unohana was in the same battlefield as Aizen when she, along with Ichigo arrived. Sooo... Come to think of it, how would Aizen react if he had to face Kenpachi?
This is the perfect stalemate. It's all in the writing. Unohana is very perceptive and one of the strongest bleach characters, having lost only to 1 person prior, she is near invincible with incredible combat power and amazing healing abilities. On the other hand we have Aizen who also is one the strongest and at that time understood that there are 2 captains that currently had greater combat power than him (aside from the 0 squad) Prior to this engagement all captains were exposed to Kyoka Suigetsu. Just before this scene Hitsugaya was struck down by Aizen. Showing you Aizen wan't afraid of eliminating a threath , yet he refrained from attacking The OG Kenpachi. Aizen understood that attacking Unohana who was feared for her strength wan't a good idea. He would not come out unscathed comparable with the yamamoto fight, aizen prepares, plans and plots. Aizen had no real motivation for taking such a huge risk. Unohana exposed him and she understood that also for her this would not be an easy fight. There are 2 important unknown factors from her prespective. 1) Am I under perfect hypnosis? 2) If he's shown such a poweful Shikai, how powerful is his Bankai? Kyoka Suigetsu is a powerful barrier. She is perceptive enough to understand his power and that this would not be an east fight. Her motivation is alerting the captains and giving treatment to the wounded (hitsugaya and hinamori). Her priorities were there and not fighting a time consuming opponent with no means of attacking him. Also plot convenience, way too early in the story for such titans to clash
Aizen was attacked by Histugaya, which is why he struck him down. Past that, all he really needed was the Hogyoku, there was no reason for him to spend his time fighting every captain in the Soul Society. I don't disagree it would be a big fight, but there's a reason Aizen was only wary of Kenpachi or Yamamoto combat-wise, he even straight up ignored her when she showed up at FKT.

It's funny, back then before the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, we had no idea the bloodthirsty killer Unohana really was. Now it makes sense why Aizen was extremely cautious with her and didn't attack.

To be honest, he didn't want to harm anyone to begin with. They all kept on coming at him, despite that he didn't do any fatal blow, even in the FKT arc, he didn't even kill anyone when he could've, they were all badly injured.
Me when I first saw this: Ok, she has to be super strong probably the strongest or at least as strong as the head captain for him to run away instead of fighting her. Plus everyone always so scared of annoying including the other captains. *Years later after reading the manga* Me: I knew it!
This.... is actually true to a certain extent considering that Aizen fought Hitsugaya earlier and destroyed him easily when Aizen could've just left without fighting him. With Unohana, he chose to just leave. Then again, it doesn't necessarily mean Aizen is afraid of Unohana, he could have been in a hurry to get Rukia and didn't want to waste time.
Unohana was under Kyoka Suigetsu at the time, so Aizen would have bodied her had she tried to fight him. That's why she never tried to either here or in karakura town, it'd be a waste of time. I still think Aizen is as powerful as she is in base form i.e. without Kyoka Suigetsu and the Hyogoku. Aizen was so strong that he could've destroyed all of the espada with raw power alone (ex. He brought Grimmjow to his knees while sipping tea in a chair lol). Gin himself states this during the fight in Karakura town. I think she sacrificed herself to him, only for him to achieve bankai. She didn't even evade him or use bakudo to trap him, she just stabbed like she had no common sense. The fight they had was just a test to unohana, one that was completely correct. Giving Kenny a bankai.

Yama is smart enough to recongnize reiatsu from an illusion and the real stuff , he even said it. He had to make his plan around Yama because he couldnt handle him. Knowing how intelligent Aizen is, I think we can all safely say that he knew full well of her past history of being the first Kenpachi. With that knowledge in mind, it's pretty easy to see why he and Gin fled so quickly when Unohana confronted them - not only had she figured out a large portion of Aizen's plans, but she has seen through the illusion of his Kyoka Suigetsu's illusions to do so. I'm not saying that she would flat out beat him in a fight, but without Kyokasuigetsu to hide behind, Aizen would be at a severe disadvantage in their fight.
Nah he left quickly because Rukia's execution was coming up and he didn't want to waste time fighting Unohana. If they actually fought, Aizen would probably still win because KS is too OP, he could just troll her by making her stab Isane instead or use Hinamori as a meatshield.

And To have a serious chance Unohana would have to use her Bankai as it wouldn’t care about the effects of Aizen’s KS, forcing Aizen to rely on Kido which Unohana wasn’t exactly bad at either. Sure she may not have won But certainly could have wasted enough time to have screwed up his plans Altogether. So yeah For Aizen Fighting Unohana certainly wouldn’t have been worth all the trouble it’d Potentially bring.

Okay but Unohana being under his hypnosis and noticing something off with his dead body is so badass though, it might mean his hypnosis wasn't so "complete" if one focused hard enough.
Is it even the actual fake corpse tho. Because in this particular scene Aizen showed Unohara that it's not the actual corpse but the hypnosis nonexisted corpse, and she still thought and mistook it as the actual fake corpse. She realized it but that doesn't mean she broke from the Complete Hypnosis's effect. Probably Aizen has to picture its components too in order to make the hypnosis nonexisted corpse.
I thought that if one has more than enough spiritual pressure they can unconsciously shake off the effects of Kyoka Suigetsu. It would probably explain why Ichigo's never been affected.

Aizen simply never bothered to take him under its effects, he even points out *spoilers* later on near the tail end of TYBW that he didn’t think that keeping his release hidden from Ichigo would be so helpful. On the previous note, it also worked on Soul King Yhwach, who DEFINITELY had more Reiatsu than him.
That's not true. They saw each other again when Ichigo and Unohana came to Fake Karakura Town. They just didn't speak to each other or fight. Ichigo fought Aizen while Unohana tended to the wounded.
It really says a lot about how smart unohana is (probably from all the fighting as kenpacbi) when she was the only person to actually see through kyoka suigetsu, even if it was just barely an inkling of a feeling. Not even Yhwach and Yamamoto figured out they were under hypnosis and the only people who have a better way of seeing through the illusions either know its weakness or haven’t been hypnotized.

Second, she wont be slashed because aizen knew who is unohana and to avoid unncessary fighting, isane was left unharmed.
I think aizen could have probably won, but he decided it would be too much trouble to expend all that energy on such a strong opponent when he had other more important objectives

Remember the part whereby Aizen "trapped" 4 captains at Hueco Muedo because they are the ones which pose the "most threat"? They were Kempachi, Byakuya, Mayuri and Unohana. Never understood why she was there.... until it was revealed who she REALLY was... and then mind blown....
Now basing on what you said, it made sense why Kyoraku and Ukitakae is not included Ukitake was too sick to fight at full power while Kyoraku cant release his bankai without collateral damage.

Apologies for my late response, I was never notified, I just happened to be watching random videos and saw this comment lol. “I must praise you, regardless of touching my hand, it was impressive you were able to sense something was off with my dead body whilst under complete hypnosis” Kyoka Suigetsu’s reiatsu gives it’s presence away to those with astute senses (like Unohana) granted I will give you that it’s also quite a stretch considering the specific wording and also how it’s translated. Also, rewatch the Karakura Town battles, Yamato says the weakness before Gin does when he allows himself to get stabbed and points out he’d never mistake Aizen’s reiatsu with his Zanpaktou’s which seems to be the key in determining when you’re affected. Also, noted by Ichigo in the fight with Ywach, he’s able to ascertain when Aizen activates Kyoka Suigetsu from “a familiar feeling” and given as Ichigo is awful at detecting and controlling reiatsu he was still able to instinctively tell the difference between Aizen and Kyoka Suigetsu’s reiatsu. That being said none of this matters anyway, its not real 😂
There is another limitation that he accidentally let slip: he said that all five senses become under his control, but there are actually seven senses: five external (sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste), which are the five he's talking about, and two internal (sense of balance and the sense that lets you feel what's going on in your body and know where all your limbs are). Much later, when Aizen stabs Yamamoto, Yamamoto immediately grabs Aizen's arm, and Aizen panics. He says that he could easily be an illusion, but Yamamoto points out that there's no mistaking the sword in his chest, and Aizen completely panics. Aizen, by stabbing Yamamoto, gave Yamamoto a way to be certain that the Aizen in front of him was the real one.

Even if Aizen chose to fight her and she got serious, he's probably not gonna one-shot her. Also, the commotion would have probably brought the other captains, including Yamamoto, over and then he's really be screwed.
Aizen relies on deceiving his enemies at this point, his power is not beyond the average captain level in this scene, whereas Unohana is arguably the second strongest Shinigami in gotei13. Having revealed his ability he now is in a disadvantage, so no way he would have fought here there and then.

Adam Vialpando well Unohana while not Yama or Aizen levels in pure power isn’t exactly the same as most other Captains, I’d put her at #2 below Yama but still just above Shunsui who I’d say is #3, she’d certainly push Aizen hard and as the other guy said could make enough of a commotion to allow back up to arrive. Especially if She tells Isane to go and get help, which would work in her favour as she wouldn’t need to worry about Isane getting caught in her Bankai, meaning Unohana could go full power with no worries and KyoukaSuigetsu isn’t gonna be able to stop Unohana’s Bankai and neither is Gin. So yeah she’d likely take it right up to Aizen and the only reason he’d probably eventually come out on top is because he’s probably still got a little more raw power at this point.

She was the ONLY one able to particially see threw the illusions. And keep in mind he recked eveybody else he encountered after revealing himself, and he didn't even bother to fight her. Also, he was still respecting her and calling her "Captain". But he knew she wouldn't attack him. She could have Killed Aizen in a blink of an eye if she really wanted too. But her main focus was healing the wounded.
Not really see through since she still mistook it as Aizen fake corpse and a corpse still has his face with stranger dead body or just still as nonexist hypnosis body.

It is quite plain to see why Aizen left. He did not want to fight Captain Unohana. Yeah you can say Aizen would have planned for this, but frankly, Aizen himself has shown that he has his limits. Aizen can be beaten if he doesn't know the full extent of the power he is facing. Which is why he avoided fighting Yamamoto by sealing his Shikai and trying to end the fight as fast as he can. Likewise, he actively avoided fighting both Unohana and Kempachi (leaving Soul Society and Heco mundo the second he is faced with fighting either of them). Aizen also lost to Ichigo and Yhwach for that same reason. The fact that Yamamoto actively benched Captain Unohana be it against Aizen and even in the 1000 year blood war arc is enough to prove that Unohana was always the Yamamoto's trump card who he didn't want on the field unless a 1 person army was needed. To me, the only 4 people who can beat Aizen (without sealing him like what Urahara did) and they are: Yamamoto, Unohana, Kempachi and Ichigo.

He would lose here. That's a fact. He was OP in the final anime arc because his reiatsu just keeps on getting on stronger and he has already started to merge with the Hogyoukyu at the time. Fanboys can say he is OP all they want but he would have gotten destroyed by Yamamoto without Wonderweiss and without the Hogyoukyu, He would have gotten rekt by Urahara and the black cat(forgot her name). The captains that could have take him on at this time were, Unohana, Zaraki, Pink coat guy(forgot his name), and The head captain.

Headcanon: Aizen acts so cool and smug but he’s secretly so scared of Unohana, like how Rukia is afraid of Gin, once out of sight, he broke character and had to take a breather.

Aizen could also beat Unohana ... Only Yamamoto ist stronger than Aizen ( but only with his Zanpakuto ). There is no Shinigima with a higher Reiatsu aus Aizen.
In every comics/anime, or wholly fantasies, among abilities, the ability of illusion is always very strong. Characters having illusion powers are always the top characters.
Actually when I rewatched this part, I had a feel that Unohana's deduction on Aizen's plan was only had a mistake at the second part, which she mistook Aizen's ability as creating puppet. And actually her first deduction, which Aizen came to Seijyoutou Kyorin in spirit court to hide his presence was already correct
i like how in the end aizen quick retreats to avoid certain doom. that beast killed and resurected zaraki one hundred times before she gave up herself to him(bored obviously).

Unnohana alone in her 1000+ years has dropped more bodies than all generations of all the Protection Squads combined. She never suffered a single wound in battle! Not a single scratch! She literally tells Zaraki that everytime she sees him, the only wound ever inflicted on her cries out aloud. The only scar she received was from kid Zaraki, reason why she wears her hair in front of her neck. Bottom line: She won't have any need to heal. Aizen at this point in the storyline would've been mopped.

Unohana could've won the same way Yamamoto caught Aizen after he stabbed him with Kyoka Suigetsu BUT in this case Gin is also there, so it would be a bad idea for both parties to fight because it would likely be a double KO
I’m real late but honestly if Aizen stabbed her I could see her turning the tables massively wether Gin is there or not. She gets stabbed then his Hypnosis breaks, she’s uses her Bankai and basically Anyone in the area is screwed. The only issue is Isane is present and Unohana wouldn’t want her getting caught up in it. Also Aizen had no intention of attacking her as he doesn’t really do that to any of the captains so Unohana would have to initiate the fight and with Isane present that would be stupid of her to do.
If Aizen used his complete hypnosis to cover for Gin using his bankai's true ability, for spoiler reasons, he might stand a chance. Other than that, it would be a massacre.

Since Gin apparently wants Aizen dead too then this match would be even more on Unohana's favor. It all depends on who can cast their ultimate spell first. If Aizen manages his Kyouka Suigetsu hypnosis at the start, he wins. Itachi Izanami, Madara Infinite Tsukuyomi, Shisui's super long name genjutsu. And Lelouch gets his ass kicked either way
I remember watching this all those years ago and I was like he is going to kill both of them, now I am like, Aizen you were so lucky to get out of that shit because if she figured out your corpse wasn't real, it's only a matter of time before she finds a way to decimate your sorry @$$ and use her powers as a kido expert and do it again multiple times. Aizen should be grateful that she let him live out the rest of the arcs that followed.
One detail from this encounter that people don't pay attention is that Unohana is not even holding her zampakuto, Isane is. Aizen would have had the upper hand here if he tried something and he still thought would be best to just leave thats how much of a threat she is to him at this point, this would be a way too risky of a fight for him to attempt.

The reason is Unohana's strength was always linear throughout the story, which means she never powered up as time went on like Aizen did. So if she used Bankai right away she would be as strong as when she fought Kenpachi before Kenpachi killed her. I think she would be even stronger too if she used Kido and Hoho which she didn't use against Kenpachi. Which to me seems strong enough to kill this version of Aizen.

This is the perfect stalemate. It's all in the writing.
Unohana is very perceptive and one of the strongest bleach characters, having lost only to 1 person prior, she is near invincible with incredible combat power and amazing healing abilities.
On the other hand we have Aizen who also is one the strongest and at that time understood that there are 2 captains that currently had greater combat power than him (aside from the 0 squad)
Prior to this engagement all captains were exposed to Kyoka Suigetsu.
Just before this scene Hitsugaya was struck down by Aizen. Showing you Aizen wan't afraid of eliminating a threath , yet he refrained from attacking The OG Kenpachi.
Aizen understood that attacking Unohana who was feared for her strength wan't a good idea. He would not come out unscathed comparable with the yamamoto fight, aizen prepares, plans and plots.
Aizen had no real motivation for taking such a huge risk.
Unohana exposed him and she understood that also for her this would not be an easy fight. There are 2 important unknown factors from her prespective.
1) Am I under perfect hypnosis?
2) If he's shown such a poweful Shikai, how powerful is his Bankai? Kyoka Suigetsu is a powerful barrier.
She is perceptive enough to understand his power and that this would not be an east fight.
Her motivation is alerting the captains and giving treatment to the wounded (hitsugaya and hinamori).
Her priorities were there and not fighting a time consuming opponent with no means of attacking him.
Also plot convenience, way too early in the story for such titans to clash
Aizen was attacked by Histugaya, which is why he struck him down. Past that, all he really needed was the Hogyoku, there was no reason for him to spend his time fighting every captain in the Soul Society.
I don't disagree it would be a big fight, but there's a reason Aizen was only wary of Kenpachi or Yamamoto combat-wise, he even straight up ignored her when she showed up at FKT.

This.... is actually true to a certain extent considering that Aizen fought Hitsugaya earlier and destroyed him easily when Aizen could've just left without fighting him. With Unohana, he chose to just leave. Then again, it doesn't necessarily mean Aizen is afraid of Unohana, he could have been in a hurry to get Rukia and didn't want to waste time.

Unohana was under Kyoka Suigetsu at the time, so Aizen would have bodied her had she tried to fight him. That's why she never tried to either here or in karakura town, it'd be a waste of time.
I still think Aizen is as powerful as she is in base form i.e. without Kyoka Suigetsu and the Hyogoku. Aizen was so strong that he could've destroyed all of the espada with raw power alone (ex. He brought Grimmjow to his knees while sipping tea in a chair lol). Gin himself states this during the fight in Karakura town. On top of that, Aizen is a kido master, performing 90+ level kido with no incantation in base form.

Knowing how intelligent Aizen is, I think we can all safely say that he knew full well of her past history of being the first Kenpachi. With that knowledge in mind, it's pretty easy to see why he and Gin fled so quickly when Unohana confronted them - not only had she figured out a large portion of Aizen's plans, but she has seen through the illusion of his Kyoka Suigetsu's illusions to do so. I'm not saying that she would flat out beat him in a fight, but without Kyokasuigetsu to hide behind, Aizen would be at a severe disadvantage in their fight.

And To have a serious chance Unohana would have to use her Bankai as it wouldn’t care about the effects of Aizen’s KS, forcing Aizen to rely on Kido which Unohana wasn’t exactly bad at either. Sure she may not have won But certainly could have wasted enough time to have screwed up his plans Altogether. So yeah For Aizen Fighting Unohana certainly wouldn’t have been worth all the trouble it’d Potentially bring.

Is it even the actual fake corpse tho. Because in this particular scene Aizen showed Unohara that it's not the actual corpse but the hypnosis nonexisted corpse, and she still thought and mistook it as the actual fake corpse. She realized it but that doesn't mean she broke from the Complete Hypnosis's effect. Probably Aizen has to picture its components too in order to make the hypnosis nonexisted corpse.
I thought that if one has more than enough spiritual pressure they can unconsciously shake off the effects of Kyoka Suigetsu.

later on near the tail end of TYBW that he didn’t think that keeping his release hidden from Ichigo would be so helpful. On the previous note, it also worked on Soul King Yhwach, who DEFINITELY had more Reiatsu than him.

That's not true. They saw each other again when Ichigo and Unohana came to Fake Karakura Town. They just didn't speak to each other or fight. Ichigo fought Aizen while Unohana tended to the wounded.

It really says a lot about how smart unohana is (probably from all the fighting as kenpacbi) when she was the only person to actually see through kyoka suigetsu, even if it was just barely an inkling of a feeling. Not even Yhwach and Yamamoto figured out they were under hypnosis and the only people who have a better way of seeing through the illusions either know its weakness or haven’t been hypnotized.

Apologies for my late response, I was never notified, I just happened to be watching random videos and saw this comment lol.
“I must praise you, regardless of touching my hand, it was impressive you were able to sense something was off with my dead body whilst under complete hypnosis” Kyoka Suigetsu’s reiatsu gives it’s presence away to those with astute senses (like Unohana) granted I will give you that it’s also quite a stretch considering the specific wording and also how it’s translated. Also, rewatch the Karakura Town battles, Yamato says the weakness before Gin does when he allows himself to get stabbed and points out he’d never mistake Aizen’s reiatsu with his Zanpaktou’s which seems to be the key in determining when you’re affected. Also, noted by Ichigo in the fight with Ywach, he’s able to ascertain when Aizen activates Kyoka Suigetsu from “a familiar feeling” and given as Ichigo is awful at detecting and controlling reiatsu he was still able to instinctively tell the difference between Aizen and Kyoka Suigetsu’s reiatsu.
That being said none of this matters anyway, its not real 😂

Aizen relies on deceiving his enemies at this point, his power is not beyond the average captain level in this scene, whereas Unohana is arguably the second strongest Shinigami in gotei13. Having revealed his ability he now is in a disadvantage, so no way he would have fought here there and then.
@@Baykko Actually his power is still twice that of most other captains. By this point he had already conquered Hueco Mundo after all, something no average captain would be capable of.
Adam Vialpando well Unohana while not Yama or Aizen levels in pure power isn’t exactly the same as most other Captains, I’d put her at #2 below Yama but still just above Shunsui who I’d say is #3, she’d certainly push Aizen hard and as the other guy said could make enough of a commotion to allow back up to arrive. Especially if She tells Isane to go and get help, which would work in her favour as she wouldn’t need to worry about Isane getting caught in her Bankai, meaning Unohana could go full power with no worries and KyoukaSuigetsu isn’t gonna be able to stop Unohana’s Bankai and neither is Gin. So yeah she’d likely take it right up to Aizen and the only reason he’d probably eventually come out on top is because he’s probably still got a little more raw power at this point.

She was the ONLY one able to particially see threw the illusions. And keep in mind he recked eveybody else he encountered after revealing himself, and he didn't even bother to fight her. Also, he was still respecting her and calling her "Captain". But he knew she wouldn't attack him. She could have Killed Aizen in a blink of an eye if she really wanted too. But her main focus was healing the wounded.
Not really see through since she still mistook it as Aizen fake corpse and a corpse still has his face with stranger dead body or just still as nonexist hypnosis body.

It is quite plain to see why Aizen left. He did not want to fight Captain Unohana. Yeah you can say Aizen would have planned for this, but frankly, Aizen himself has shown that he has his limits.
Aizen can be beaten if he doesn't know the full extent of the power he is facing. Which is why he avoided fighting Yamamoto by sealing his Shikai and trying to end the fight as fast as he can. Likewise, he actively avoided fighting both Unohana and Kempachi (leaving Soul Society and Heco mundo the second he is faced with fighting either of them). Aizen also lost to Ichigo and Yhwach for that same reason.
The fact that Yamamoto actively benched Captain Unohana be it against Aizen and even in the 1000 year blood war arc is enough to prove that Unohana was always the Yamamoto's trump card who he didn't want on the field unless a 1 person army was needed. To me, the only 4 people who can beat Aizen (without sealing him like what Urahara did) and they are: Yamamoto, Unohana, Kempachi and Ichigo.

He would lose here. That's a fact. He was OP in the final anime arc because his reiatsu just keeps on getting on stronger and he has already started to merge with the Hogyoukyu at the time. Fanboys can say he is OP all they want but he would have gotten destroyed by Yamamoto without Wonderweiss and without the Hogyoukyu, He would have gotten rekt by Urahara and the black cat(forgot her name).
The captains that could have take him on at this time were, Unohana, Zaraki, Pink coat guy(forgot his name), and The head captain.

In every comics/anime, or wholly fantasies, among abilities, the ability of illusion is always very strong. Characters having illusion powers are always the top characters.

Unnohana alone in her 1000+ years has dropped more bodies than all generations of all the Protection Squads combined. She never suffered a single wound in battle! Not a single scratch! She literally tells Zaraki that everytime she sees him, the only wound ever inflicted on her cries out aloud. The only scar she received was from kid Zaraki, reason why she wears her hair in front of her neck.
Bottom line: She won't have any need to heal. Aizen at this point in the storyline would've been mopped.

I’m real late but honestly if Aizen stabbed her I could see her turning the tables massively wether Gin is there or not. She gets stabbed then his Hypnosis breaks, she’s uses her Bankai and basically Anyone in the area is screwed. The only issue is Isane is present and Unohana wouldn’t want her getting caught up in it. Also Aizen had no intention of attacking her as he doesn’t really do that to any of the captains so Unohana would have to initiate the fight and with Isane present that would be stupid of her to do.
Unohana would kill Gin in seconds and revive him just to kill him again and again.
If Aizen used his complete hypnosis to cover for Gin using his bankai's true ability, for spoiler reasons, he might stand a chance. Other than that, it would be a massacre.

Since Gin apparently wants Aizen dead too then this match would be even more on Unohana's favor. One detail from this encounter that people don't pay attention is that Unohana is not even holding her zampakuto, Isane is. Aizen would have had the upper hand here if he tried something and he still thought would be best to just leave thats how much of a threat she is to him at this point, this would be a way too risky of a fight for him to attempt.
