Very kind of Steve to donate the chuck. Like the engines at the end.

I love how you say I'll make up an adaptor and an hour later it's done (and it works!). That would be a two week project for me. Four if I was filming it! Have a good weekend Kev. ATB Matt
Cheers Matt,
yeah, but i'd already had a dummy run with the 4 Jaw.👍👍
plus i don't like letting the grass grow under my feet😉🤣
plus my Harrison lathes a pleasure to do work on.

Hi Kev. Excellent gifts from Steve and Nigel. The RUclips community is so generous. The chuck is perfect for your micro lathe. You must be well chuffed. 👏👏👍😀

Thumbs 👍 it's amazing that someone's kindness can be turned into a pain by the royal mail. Looking forward to the engine build on the micro lathe. 😊
Thanks 👍John

@MrFactotum it has been for many years unfortunately but it is worldwide. Problem is investors and shareholders want more and more of the cake until their is no point anyone making anything. And the 🇬🇧 has sold pretty much every industry we had. Probably best not thinking about it and keep on making your own things for fun 👍
Thanks for the mention Kev! BTW, I dropped the "Troll Farm" when we sold the farm. It's just Troll Forge now. The new wee chuck looks great!
okay Mr & mrs T👍👍
hope your getting sorted with the move, 👍👍
hope to see you back on yt soon
see ya Troll Forge!!😉
take care
Kev
Good one Kev. Yeah, worn scroll chucks are always a mess. So many areas that can have varied wear. Nice gift and fit. Cheers Rob

good video kev
thanks for the visit👍👍👍
That looks very like a 👍Unimat Lathe chuck Kev, the Headstock and Tailstock on a Unimat Lathe are both 12 mm threads. I can vouch that the original Unimat chucks are very good. I have three collected over the years from various sources and they wear very well. When I first got my Unimat Lathe 20 years ago I damaged the back splines on one of the jaws of my original Unimat chuck by trying to hacksaw-off a partly parted-off round bar while the bar was still in the Unimat chuck on the Lathe. I was easily able to find spare jaws for the Unimat chuck at a Flea market. Used Unimat Lathe chucks and jaws often pop up on 2nd-hand goods websites , garage sales, etc. You can also buy new good quality knock-off 3 jaw and four jaw chucks specifically made for the Unimat ( they also have 12mm thread adapters with for Morse Taper fittings.) on the RDG Tools U.K Website ( They cost an arm and a leg at RDG Tools, which definitely won't suit you 🙂) cheers Paul
Thanks for all the comprehensive info Paul
yes your last sentence is me to a tee🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
i will keep my eye out for unimat items now

Was it really chocolate or is that a joke I don't understand? Either way that was another enjoyable vid, thanks Kev.
