Micah staying would be a great statement to player development imo. Thanks for the insights there Chris. He sounds like an outstanding young man so hope he finds the best path forward for him whether with Tech or elsewhere.
Level - thank you for saying what needed to be said re: Micah Hudson. Still love the kid and wish he would remain with the program. But I also love the incoming quartet of WRs and the young ones already on the roster. We will be inde, no matter what happens.
I think Patrick M needs to give Mr. Hudson a call. That being said him leaving could be be a bit more damaging from the optics than the actual talent - don't want your highest ranking recruit ever bolting after only a few times on the field.
I remember being concerned when Polk left, he was the best of the FR lot that year & signaled bad signs for the coaching staff. I'd like Micah Hudson to stay, but bad PR hits are the norm at Tech.
Ja'Lynn Polk was an absolute star @ UW. He was UW's #3WR and a big reason why the Huskies went to the National Title game and beat the Longhorns 2 years in a row in bowl games. BTW I'd take Polk over Alabama's Germie Bernard.
“Everybody assumes he’s going to go to another school and just crush it, I don’t think that’s the case” Why would you think that, Level? The data shows otherwise for almost every big-time player that leaves Tech. Baker Mayfield, Breiden Fehoko, Ja’Lynn Polk, Kevin McCullar, TJ Shannon, Jaylon Tyson, etc.
With the money Tech has and a soon-to-be 4th year head coach and a GM savant (so I hear) in Blanchard, how is it they currently have the 9th ranked recruiting class in the Big 12?
Smaller class, relying on moneyball player analysis more and more to find inexpensive gems to focus $$ on transfer market. The new reality is that teams are only going to spend money on HS players that are sure things for you. You'll see more and more 4 and 3*'s going to lower schools to play right away with a plan to transfer when they've proven themselves. The p4's are going to take more and more projects to try to develop and will buy the starters for spots where your physical freaks didn't work out.

Are we hearing he might stay?
Definitely, hope they are trying to encourage him to stay. I hear his parents are Tech alums?
7:24 Bless you Casey.
Great stuff as always btw!
Great show. I hope we find a way to keep Hudson. Ready for basketball to get rolling. Hope we surprise some folks in conference play.
Watch every show. Great stuff as always.
If Hudson is everything people think, he would be too good to keep on the bench. He obviously isn't.

Going to be an interesting week.
Sure hope the new DC can take a few studs with him north. We need help, especially on that side of the ball!
Let's hope Kittley doesn't take any with him down south.
9:50 for Micah Hudson

Can we start signing contracts for players?

why dont we give Adam hill or Jaden Morris any reps ?
Do you guys want to hang out with me at Dickie's Arena on Sunday?
Alot of noise about Micah to Baylor.
I just dont understand why J'koby and Cam cant handle the load i know they dont pass block like Tahj but hell nobody does
Chris theorizes that possibly the new DC from Houston brings some of his players with him. How likely is it that kittley takes some people to FAU?
I would like to take their all conference corner
Probably not likely. At least not the ones that we necessarily need to worry about. I could see Jake Strong going there, but it’s more of a fit there.
I still feel like the quick hire for DC was a little premature. Feels like we could’ve waited until after the bowl game at least.
Not with signing day and the transfer portal window coming up first. Needed to have it done ASAP and Wood is one of the best from the conference.
Why if you found the right guy
What's up with the high school recruiting ranking? It is far below the past two years. Not good
Its all about the portal
HS recruiting is for G5 teams now. Unless a kid can start year 1 it’s not worth the roster spot/$$$
Have we heard anything new as to why Micah Hudson is transferring out?
Sorry got impatient without hearing the whole show
I hope Micah stays..
We know who Jalen Polk is. You don’t need to mansplain it 😂
