Try and turn the volume down and see if the sound is still distorted. If its not, it's likely that the speaker is blown(which means its spoil) and needs replacement. Otherwise, its most likely a sound card ploblem or software issue.

It is so weird listening to a blown TP300L speaker when my TP500L has a blown speaker! Double distorted!
