Paoline is a feisty, determined player! I really enjoy watching her. She also has a nice personality.
Djokovic should retire now
AO Title.. Up For Grabs.. Wta Tour..
Yes, she really is, and I love to watch her play as well.
Lotta power for her size
@@Rafatruegoat25 Ah so you’re one of those trolls. Rafa is not the goat and you know he isn’t 😂
This girl is on FIRE 🔥Keep pushing Paolini!
I saw glimpses last year and this year at the United Cup of how good Paolini can be...and it's extremely good.
My thoughts exactly 💯
Paolini first beat Kerber in straight sets but then lost to Garcia in three sets who had already beaten her four times in five matches.
Paolini is one to watch. She has awesome ground strokes.
It is fun to watch Paolini. She is very strong and fast considering her height&size.
She is like Duracell , not easy to be low or out of battery.
Paolini at 5'4" height is an amazing testament that tennis can be won by shorter players with sheer practice, determination, practice, mental strength, practice, focus,, practice, a great coach, and finally, most importantly ........practice.
You forgot...lots of practice
After beating Rybakina in such emotional fashion, it was inevitable that Blinky would be brought down to earth in her next match. So it was.
Inevitable.
So it is written so it shall be done..😊😊
Jasmine plays in an efficient and creative way which makes her more interesting to watch than some of those do who have a higher ranking. In short I like her.
What a queen! Brava Jasmine!!!!!!!!!❤🇮🇹
As expected Blinkova lost in the next round post her upset of Rybakina.... Goes to show the level Rybakina's game is right now.. she needs a shakeup sooner than later!
Rybakina has been relying on the big serve and not too good at the net. She needs to make better decisions and hug the lines more. She also made too many unforced errors. But kudos for a 22 to 20 tiebreaker. It only shows the determination in her.
Needs a new coach?
@@dquarksUnfE could have been through fatigue, but you’re right, was too many. The last point was heartbreaking- a big mishit 😓😓 Does she need a new coach? He was irritating me. I know there has been talk about him before, but he gave me a bad vibe
Its gonna take a long time for Rybakina to recover from the Blinkova loss. Basically she can be beaten by anyone and that is not the way of a true number one [which is her stated aspiration]
She's a late blooming jasmine who can give much more satisfaction to italian tennis.
Paolini has a shot vs. Kalinskaya. That section of the draw opened up nicely for her. She's a very good if unspectacular player, with sharp instincts, and a quarterfinal might be in her future.
I am soooooo happy for Jasmine...hope she makes the semis!!!!! she so deserves it!
Jasmine such a doll. Going for the handshake and at the last second changes her mind for a hug
Despite her loss, Blinkova will be remembered for having played the match of the tournament.
by who???????????????
She'll certainly be remembered for a 31-minute tiebreaker, that's for sure!
Yup. That was an amazing tie breaker!
It was predictable, Blinkova was not ready to defeat Rybakin, luck was on her side and it is impossible to recover after such a break. It's a pity that Rybakina was eliminated so that Blinkova gave up the fight so easily
Not really. There is no way anyone could get their energy levels up to where they need to be in order to perform to their best 40 hours after an epic tiebreaker.
@amireallythatgrumpy6508
BS. So Mannarino played 3 grueling, consecutive, 5 setters and still was on his feet, has to play Novak next.
Blinkova played an epic 30-minute tiebreaker, and she has no energy for the next match? Lol.
She wasn't good enough to proceed. It's not as if she had just completed the Ironman yesterday.
What utter nonsense. We all know the intensity of a final set tiebreaker is MUCH more intense than any other time in a match. If Mannarino had played a 40 minute final set tiebreaker (which would be equivalent of playing SIX sets with the sixth at a much higher intensity than the previous five because every point is more critical) in any of his matches he's getting swept in 3 in the following match. No question about it. (By the way, only Mannarino's 3rd round match was over 3 hours 40 and all three of his matches included some shorter, less gruelling sets).
Mannarino's body is conditioned to recover from a maximum of five sets in two days. It would not be able to recover from what is effectively a 6th set.
Blinkova's is conditioned to recover from a maximum of three sets in two days. She effectively played a fourth on Thursday night. Her body could not dothis, and Rybakina's wouldn't have been able to either because her body is also conditioned to play, and recover from three, and three only. This is something anyone with a clue about basic physiology understands. @@serbianbeast1733
Blinkova beat Garcia last year at Roland Garros on the ninth match point. And lost in the next round.
Do you really want me to comment on the exhausted performance we saw from Mannarino? Would have been triple bagelled if Djokovic could be bothered on Mannarino's serve in the last few games. @@serbianbeast1733
Paolini with all the luck. Sweetheart draw, very fresh on court. Keep going! Your time is now!
Djokovic should retire now
During her first and only won WTA tournament (a 250 one), Blinkova beat Paolini in the final. Jasmine has progressed a lot in 2023. At 28, she is starting a second career!
It's simple- Blinkova played the match of her life against Rybakina and as expected couldn't replicate that form going forward.
Rybakina had one very off day, but would have recovered and trounced her way to atleast the finals if she had won.
Nothing to do with energy levels. It's best of 3.
False. It is EVERYTHING to do with energy levels. Are you saying Rybakina is superhuman? No she is not. There is no way ANY HUMAN can recover from a 40 minute final set tiebreaker to be anything near their best 40 hours later. That is simply humanly impossible. Basic physiology precludes the notion. End of story.
Rybakina didn't have any off anything she was just beaten by the better player on the day!!!!
@amireallythatgrumpy6508 You're mistaken. You're taking the tie break in isolation. Therein lies the issue.
The match itself was very average, till the tie-break. Remember, Rybakina likes to keep the points short. The tie-break stretched for 30 min, but the match duration was slightly over 2:30 hrs. A regulation for women 3 setters. Her first match was a straight setter. So she's been on court for less than 4 hrs totally. A cakewalk for primed tennis athletes.
She lost to a better player today. Period.
@@adityan123💯
@@amireallythatgrumpy6508 Yes, the tie-break might have been mentally draining, but she had a day to recuperate. But physically it's not an excuse.
Just for the sake of comparison, Mannarino had a mentally and physically exhausting 5 hr match y'day. That's 1 full hr , more than the total time Blinkova has spent on court at this tournament. Plus he played 2 full 5 setters before this match...we didn't see him exhausted or making excuses.
Jasmine as player is the synthesis of her 3 different ethnic roots: italian passion, polish discipline, ghanaian fire.
The obvious result. No way Blinkova could have replenished her energy levels in time to be anywhere near her best 40 hours after that epic tiebreaker on Thursday night.

Has nothing to do with Blinkova v Raolini so piss off. @@Rafatruegoat25
Is she 40 years old?
The real question is "Is she superhuman?" to which the answer is NO. @@filippyknow
By the way it would actually be EASIER for an experienced 40 year old. Tennis is more a mental game than a physical one.

Paolini sei grandissima e un piacere vederti giocare 🎉❤
Paolini is the only Italian tennis player I enjoy watching. Trevisan, Bronzetti, and Errani are obnoxious, and while Cocciaretto is quiet, she’s inconsistent. Paolini is somewhat quiet AND very consistent, and I love it!
What about Giorgi? 🤔
Kinda forgot about her lol. She’s good and hits hard, but I also hate her bad attitude
Bravissima di Jasmine! Avanti così...👏🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Brawo, brawo, brawo - Jasmine!
Blinkova played the tie break of her life against Rybakina . Then got destroyed by a much lower rank tennis player in a tie break. Tennis is mental and can be unpredictable.
Bravissima Jasmine :) :) continua così!!!
Good game ladies congratulations jasmine🎉🎉🎉
Congratulations Paolina!
Yeah i think everyone kind of knew it is gonna happen. Congrats to jasmine

Che miglioramenti ha fatto la Paolini. Troppo felice per lei. "È incazzusa, ha la cazzimma."
go Jaz!! If you were taller you would have already entered the top 10, but you still can make it
Paolini is one of my favorites.
Paolini is a little dynamite! She is half the size of most these girls on the tour but still holding her own. Big heart! Amazing! ❤ SMH
Faltou perna pra Blinkova.
Congratz Paolini.
Yass Jasmine 🎉🎉🎉

Anna didn't have enough power for this match, unfortunately. Perhaps she should have played a different way in this match, in less energy-consuming tennis. It was also necessary to use more drop shots to make the opponent run so that she too would lose freshness and get tired as well
If won second set the third gonna be lost as well. Paolini play smart as well.
Congrats to Paolini!
How on earth Blinkova got by Elena Rybakina? Blinkova perfectly played her spoiler role.
You reckon Blinkova could possibly have replenished her energy levels within 40 hours? She's not superhuman, dude!

how did paolini come back from 4-1 to win this match, but she did, because blinkova did not recorver from her previous match with rybakina.paolini,at 5'.4",it proves that hight playing tennis,is not really a true factor in becoming and being the best ,and greatest tennis player.your tennis IQ and knowing the game is what, that is important in playing this game of tennis ,male or female.
