- 26 people died in a single night at Goa Medical College due to lack of oxygen. Mojo Story's Nazia talks to 3 brothers who lost their mother in the Goa Medical College incident. They told Mojo Story that their mother was quite normal and suddenly the oxygen pressure dropped uniformly for all patients that night and the next morning they were declared dead. They also claimed that the doctors or nurses at the hospital don't even know how to use a ventilator. "We were pushed out of the hospital with the help of police", one of the brothers said. The three brothers also raised questions on the hospital administration and authorities and made serious allegations on the doctors and nurses who were treating their mother.

I can relate with what these boys are going through. My father also died due to medical negligence when I was 10 years old. I have lived through this and it is the worst feeling to go through. My heart goes out to these boys and everyone else who has lost their near and dear ones
India needs a robust law to address such cases. I lost my grandfather to medical negligence. We need special courts for this.

The explanation of these Brothers is definitely pointing out gross malpractice in this hospital. The protocols followed are very unsystematic and the injection is sounding a bit fishy...it seems as if they were not bothered to correlate the symptoms and match the administration of either drugs or oxygen in the appropriate manner. A Probe is definitely required. But As Usual we are a corrupt country, no one will try to learn from Mistakes or examples. Sadly the Boys feel helpless after fighting so hard to save their Mum. May she rest in Peace.

There is no excuse for the dirty evil attitude of the nursing staff calling the police to remove the sons around the dying Mother. At least be kind in a persons last moments. Being overworked isnt an excuse for rudeness. Nurses are mothers and daughters too.

Even some smaller countries like NZ or Taiwan or Vietnam are better managed than our own Goa with merely 15L people. Oxygen crisis in this small state close to gujarat maharastra is unpardonable. Request barkhaji to do a special program on goa.
State governments also matter. MH is doing much better, i could say that since I live here. Karnataka is facing the same fate as Goa.
I can feel the problem of the doctors and nurses and what they go through treating the patient's without oxygen.

These kids are clearly upset ...CPR is a standard procedure where the chest compression has to be given ...it might look very agressive while CPR that's why attendent are advised to stay out ...and yes you can examine and tell without xray that a person has pneumonia....our population don't understand basic human biology it's time we include basic Medical Sciences in our school curriculum
Now reverse the Roles with you and your mom in place with theirs..!! (Minus the CPR part which even I feel they dont knw much about) and tell me, would you be Upset or feel the same as you mentioned above?? Only the ones who go through hell know what it is, its easy to be a spectator and pass a comment.

@shmooprint xo doctors use method such as percussion with finger or auscultate lung sound with stethoscope or C Reactive Protien to look for pneumonia SPO2 monitoring & physical examination a combination of all this is used to rule out Pneumonia if Xray or CT scan is not available
