I was just about to buy another QSC To bring to Brazil next month but this might be the better option!......I wish you do this in a 10 inch size too since I would get all the benefits of high power, EQ w/ effects and most of all that built in battery!
Alan EV have just announced they will have a new cover available Feb 23 so you will be able to plug things in. I have used this one and blows all the completion away a game changer.
After comparing the Everse 8 side by side to other portable speakers i.e the Bose S1 Pro, JBL etc. I can say 100% that the Everse 8 blows them all out of the water, the quality and detail of sound is amazing. The mic pre amp and onboard settings are in a much higher class, so paired with a quality mic your vocals will sound fantastic. The Bose seemed less detailed and less punchy, I prefer a much fuller sound and the Bose doesn’t cut it. Everse 8 is the winner, and well worth the marketed price in my eyes now I’ve compared them!
A question for all owners of Everse 8!!! The display of a newly purchased speaker sometimes flashes when charging from AC power. You may not notice it right away, it doesn't happen often. But I noticed. The speaker itself is in the off state. I have not had speakers with a display before, so I do not know if this is a normal phenomenon when charging the Everse 8? Everything else works well. Thanks

Thank you! Yes, but how powerful are the MIC PREAMPS? On my Bose S1 Pro, they are kind of pathetic. I HAVE TO use a mixer to get good volume. I even tried a Lo-z to Hi-z transformer but that only marginally helped.
@Leisuretec Distribution Ltd thx! I read somewhere that the S1Pro XLR inputs are -infinity to +49 dB...bottom line is that the Shure SM58 is totally inadequate for direct xlr input in to the S1Pro...
Bose s1pro it's bether becouse this 8 eve has mixer include for vocal delay and much more and you have to have a mixer to equalizer the song or kareoke songs my personal opinion it's bether than bose s1 pro
It tells me that in rough use mmm it should sound 6 hours but it only lasts 3 hours... I use it to sing along with tracks... Is it ok, or should I ask for a guarantee?
Hello! One question from me! Sorry to bother you) Do you sometimes have the Everse 8 display blinking when the battery is turned off and in charging mode from an electrical outlet? Chaotically, without a specific time interval. It can dim for a long time, then it can flash for a few seconds and so on for the entire time until it is fully charged to the state of full 100% charge and turns off. Or does the display always glow dimly when charging the battery without such flashing? And is there any real, personally verified data on how long it takes to charge from 0 to 100%? My Everse 8 was charged in 2 hours and 30 minutes.
I use a JBL compact. I play keys and sing - mostly solo shows from 3-9 gigs a week. Bought the JBL in early 2020 and have had no problems with it except an LED that burned out. It handles the bottom end of the keyboard very well, which is why I bought it over everything else on the market at that time. I was here checking this one out for a friend - the two seem very similar except this one has one less input and less control without the bluetooth app. This has more power but is new and there's no way of knowing how roadworthy it is.
Exactly I am a dj want to use outside if I want to plug radio mic you can not plug in if you have waterproof cover on, as they say in video big slip up on EV design.
@@NukePooch1 Okay. Thanks. So, they're prioritizing wireless mic over pedal chain? Adding a built-in 9V out would probably have big appeal and differentiate them. None of the other battery driven pedals seem to have it either.
@@liftcommunications8059 True. It would be nice to have both...or make it switchable. Another thing is that it's a 500mA out. Guitar pedals can be quite power-hungry, so it might not be enough juice for multiples.
I agree with Tony, why pay all that money for a speaker that you need a rain cover when using it when you have something plugged in. To me it's a rip off and would rather buy a cheaper one and get oh yes a rain cover.

I would love to see the Electro-Voice Everse 8 VS the Soundboks 3
Need mix out volume control in the app please..
PURCHACED! Now EV has to come out with a 15" Line array!

Nice review. Can anyone recommend a footswitch to to use with this speaker. Preferably with an LED
Can an aux speaker gain be controlled separately from the App like my EV30?

Hi Raja, the Mic Preamps have a range of -80 db up to +42db if this helps

i want to know how to setup the Everse 8 with an external mixer
Good review. How does it compare to the Bose S1 Pro?

Bose is not in the same class see Rachel’s review.

can you tell me can this speaker be used with a speaker
Anyone have real world experience with the Jbl eon compact bs this new speaker, as far as bass amd overall db output?

The waterproof cover is not really any good if you want to to use inputs, whats the point.
I would imagine it’s more for DJs doing outdoor ceremonies and such

I notice it has a 12-volt out. Why 12V? I have a pedal board full of 9V pedals. This would be great for busking if it would power my pedals.
12vdc is what most wireless mic receivers use. You should be able to find a 12v to 9v adapter that you could make work.

Should be a 10 inch speaker for more out put
Is it about $400?
700
@@reveillucide7438 ok forget it. that's too much for a little monitor
Everse 12 = 1000 $
