The excitement when that fighting theme was used in the French dub considering that it was based on the Japanese version! So glad that I grew up with the real version and not 4KIDS. =D

You mean tv restrictions network channel laws man that we were stuck not 4Kids. Because 4Kids have nothing to do censorship when the edited that was blamed by tv law to forced 4Kids edited or else it won’t air at all. What I think if they keep all Japanese music to 4Kids anime it would not make extra money to them it will give extra money to Japanese music whoever made this music unless they pay it and they can’t afford all Japanese music and Pokemon only one they kept most Japanese music because it most popular anime than other anime I heard. It all about royalty

Finally found this I remember as a kid I tried too find it hahaha
What new is there to be said? 4kids was merely with turning a quick buck. Clearly, there was no interest within the 4kids studios to represent the original art visioned by the artists in the English language. Where the Japanese version was written for an audience of Sonic fans and tries to understand them as such, 4kids tried marketing their cartoons to everyone who watched the Fox Kids Network and in doing so, they ignore the nuanced qualities found in the original in favor of marketing.

I remember when mediaset put sonic x on tv years ago and I liked it but lastly when I rewatched sonic x in japanese, I thought that was another anime. don't worry the original version is thousand times better than the redubbed versions :)

Sorry but Incorrect, 4Kids didn't wanna use the original music, they thought it was scary for kids, when in fact they weren't, It wasn't because of copyright, It was because 4Kids was racist, so they made their own music, and 4Kids music for the dub sucked in my opinion.
I'm pretty sure they simply didn't want to pay extra money for the Japanese music.

Not 4Kids, TV Network laws were blame. It could be copyrighted issues or mostly can’t afford the money to pay all Japanese music it not easy to get it them. And 4Kids is not that cheap as TPCi are because they can buy Japanese music, just not interested to use it all.

As much as I thought Sonic X was badly done (Thorndykes,game adaptation episodes) the soundtrack is really well done here! 4Kids just replaced one of few good things of the show and replaced it with NEVER ending generic music made by themselves.
Watched Sonic X in Japan before 4Kids even picked it up.
Cheap, run-oh sentences about friendship? You're thinking about their dub of Yu-Gi-Oh.
I'm french, and the french version has the japanese osts and doesn't have the gun sounds replaced by cartoon laser sounds, but the translation is so bad...
For example, it's not mentioned even once that it's Chaos Control that warped Sonic and friends to Earth and that's a pretty important plot point. Instead, they call Eggman's machine the Chaos Generator and blame it for this.
Well it is the machine's fault, but they should have mentioned that the explosion was Chaos Control, after all it's also a thing in the french translation of the games.
So in the end, I watch the show in japanese with english subs since it has the original ost and sounds and the proper dialogue. The only downside (kinda) is that then I won't hear the french or english voices I'm used to.
L'adaptation des sous-titres est pas forcément meilleure parce que c'est de l'anglais par contre

Sonic X Is Anime, and The Original Japanese is MUCH better than 4Kids American version .
Well actually they both have best music and the Japanese is not always better or prefect. They both handle music really well and fits to the scenes. Doesn’t matter it anime or not 4Kids did something better with their own music in Sonic and one of them are better than Japanese.

Soooo... am *I* the ONLY one who prefers the 4Kids version than this one? Cause I’ve been searching EVERYWHERE for the 4Kids version because of the Spongebob Doodlebob fan-game that was made in 2010. But people keep clickbaiting me so much it’s not even funny. I eventually knew what to spell, which is “sonic x Sonic’s battle theme 4Kids version.” And because I played Sonic 2006 (which is a guilty pleasure of mine), I automatically prefer the 4Kids version. I can’t help myself.

Japanese and 4Kids are not perfect, they are just best handling company for the animes. They have to Japanese have censored too and they edit also in Japan not just 4Kids.
