    Galatians 4:5‭-‬7 NKJV
To redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
The Lord sees that we are bondaged in the world that He sent His Son for us to be redeemed. He sees how you are struggling to break free from your past and from the things you keep on holding even if it does nothing good to you. He gave His only Son for us to experience breakthroughs and freedom in all aspects and experience the fullness of life together with God's love. Your focus in life should be God's love for you, do not entirely focus on your love for God. To understand more the context, if we focus on ourselves we will easily be conscious and it will shift our focus on how you will love God to please Him and this is not how God wants you to think beloved! You do not have to do something to please Him because, in the eyes of God, you are already righteous.
As sons and daughters of God, we are encouraged to take care of our spiritual aspect and to take care of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was given to us as God's promise and a guarantee that Jesus will come back. Your spiritual aspect is your true identity because our physical is not permanent as we are a subject of time and space in this world. So while we are in it, we should live our lives fruitful in serving God.
God wants you to desire more of Him, more of His Grace, and less of you. The more you hunger and seek His word and His presence, the more you grow spiritually. But sometimes we encounter mysteries as we go deeper into Christianity.
In Ephesians 1:22-23, the church is Christ's body and the same authority of Christ is entrusted to us. However, only a few know their authority and identity in Jesus . Pastor James in his recent sermon talks about the ways to explore the mysteries of being part of the Body of Christ.
FIRST is to listen to Grace-hearing more of His Grace is hearing more of Christ. As it says in Matthew 17:5, while he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him, I am well pleased. Listen to him!”. It shows how listening to Christ is very vital for us Christians where we can understand what God wants us to do and what's our purpose in life, to begin with.
SECOND is understanding the importance of the Holy Spirit in your life. As it says in John 14:26 "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." If we are going to ask someone, the Holy Spirit is the one that gives us knowledge and wisdom. If we can understand how important the Holy Spirit's role is within us then it will guide us and teach us all things about Christianity.
THIRD, know the Lord of your heart-the hope of your life. In 1 Peter 3:15 "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to answer everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,". Knowing Jesus is knowing your identity and the authority God has given you as His sons and daughters. And above all guard, your heart for everything you do flows in it.
Lastly, Know and Pray in the Spirit. If you desire to know things you must pray in the Spirit for the Spirit exists to guide you and teach you all things that you need to learn as you go through the journey of being a Christian. As it says in Jude 1:20‭-‬21 "But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life."
We do not need our strength to be called sons and daughters of Christ. Our Sonship is always there, we just need faith and love in living life as sons and daughters of God.
