Pure Love Series Pt. 1 | Full Sermon | My Home Church PH

𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒂𝒏 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚.
As Christians, we are encouraged to show love to people; they may be Christian or not. We love others because God loved us first. He loves us so much that He gave His Son, Jesus Christ. He became our role model when it comes to loving other people, He is compassionate and that is how He shows love toward us
.
Philippians 4:8 says, "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things." What you are thinking and how you manage your mind matters to God, He wants you to think about noble and honorable things. He wants you to have a good change of mind, heart, habit, and attitude. God loves you so much that He wants to see you pure and honorable as a person.
There are four types of love that Pastor James Conato included in the sermon.
First is the 𝖠𝗀𝖺𝗉𝖾 𝗅𝗈𝗏𝖾 which can be defined as God's love for humankind. This kind of love is pure and it fills you with all the fullness of God. It was stated in Ephesians 1:4, "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love". Even before God created you, He already knew you and loved you.
The second type of love is 𝖤𝗋𝗈𝗌 𝗅𝗈𝗏𝖾 defined as the sensual or romantic love which can be felt among couples.
The third type of love is the 𝖲𝗍𝗈𝗋𝗀𝖾 𝗅𝗈𝗏𝖾 a familial love that exists in families.
Lastly, we have the fourth type of love the 𝖯𝗁𝗂𝗅𝗂𝖺 𝗅𝗈𝗏𝖾, a brotherly love that unites us with our fellow believers.
These three types of love mentioned are temporal and can be misused if not guided accordingly. If you want to protect your 𝖤𝗋𝗈𝗌 𝗅𝗈𝗏𝖾, 𝖲𝗍𝗈𝗋𝗀𝖾 𝗅𝗈𝗏𝖾, and 𝖯𝗁𝗂𝗅𝗂𝖺 𝗅𝗈𝗏𝖾, all you have to do is put 𝖠𝗀𝖺𝗉𝖾 𝗅𝗈𝗏𝖾 on it. Put God's love in it to be secure and surely it will prosper!
This is not all about your love anymore. Let God's love be your focus and remember that you are brought near by His blood. As it says in Ephesians 2:13 " But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ." While we were still sinners, God decided to save us and that's 𝑷𝑼𝑹𝑬 𝑳𝑶𝑽𝑬.
The second thing to remember is Christ is our Peace, a peace that the world cannot offer. Ephesians 2:14 says that "For He, Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,".
Lastly, Christ is our Cornerstone as mentioned in Ephesians 2:15 "having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace," You need to put Jesus in the center of your relationships. Make Him the foundation and I assure you that whatever circumstances your relationships will experience, it will never shake because you have the strongest foundation which is Jesus!
