𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐎𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝'𝐬 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 | 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐭. 3 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬
The crucifixion of Jesus 2,000 years ago was the perfect picture of 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞. We are so loved that God chose to sacrifice His Son, Jesus Christ for the atonement of our sins. In the present day, how can we assure that God loves us? It is through His word, the Gospel. Reading the Bible is not being religious, it is feeding your spirit and helping you grow spiritually. The Gospel is not about rules and regulations but it is the VERY PERSON OF JESUS CHRIST.
The very purpose of Grace is to get you out of following rules and regulations for you to please God and be saved through your doings. This is not what God wants you to do, He wants you to be woke and be filled with His Grace and Love. He wants you to have a heart genuinely seeking Him and acknowledging Him as your Lord and Saviour. Once you open your heart to the Lord, it is just so easy for the Holy Spirit to flow in and through you. Allow the Holy Spirit today to touch you.
Do not be conformed unto the doings of this world, do not be blinded by the temporal things you have today. Let it be in all aspects you will have the Lord involved. Without Him, you will only be burned out because you are doing things for the people and not for God. It also says in Romans 12:2 "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing, and perfect will." God wants you to identify yourself as His Child, you may be living in this world but you are not the world. Genuine change can be started by looking at Jesus first because He is the only one capable of changing your heart.
Do not accept anything that can degrade your value and can look down on yourself. YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD do not let others belittle you and degrade your worth. God is reminding you to guard your heart (Kardia- the affective center of our being; the capacity of moral preference) as it says in Proverbs 4:23 "Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life." Guard your heart because all things start from it. Once you learn to guard your heart, even the strongest storms will come, and you are still at peace because you have Jesus inside you. You will learn how to handle yourself in times of circumstances.
According to Pastor James Conato, loving like Christ is also serving like Christ, thinking like Christ, making decisions like Christ, and living your life like Christ. The question is, are we able to love like Christ? YES. But why are we qualified to love like Christ? Frankly, you love others by how he/she shows his/her love to you but because you are a child of God, your stand is different! You love because HE FIRST LOVED YOU, even though the people around you are unlovable, you should love them like Christ. You are able to love like Him because of your blessedness!
To love, you need to understand first your divine identity, you cannot love like Christ if you don't understand that you are holy, righteous, and called by God. Your sins, lacking, and wrongdoings are already forgiven because you believe in His Son, Jesus Christ. You can love like Christ because you are blessed. Always remember to submit yourself to Christ in everything because He is the head and our Savior.
