I could listen to Edward Norton for hours, every day. He is so smart, 10 hour interviews wouldn’t get boring with him. Love all the work he does outside of acting. Comes from an amazing family.

Mediocrity is not Excellence and Excellence is not Mediocrity. Damn it is hard when you are just trained, born, driven to be your best, and only the best, and then Mediocrity is now Excellence because we do not have enough Edward's and unfortunately this Edward Norton is so easily a threat. The sad thing about Edward is that it's his normalcy. Acting today for the most part is Ignorance made genius. Peace and Blessings.
PS: I would take a Masterclass or Classes any day if I could afford it.
This interviewer is not a good listener, too abruptly because he needs to talk but Edward was good and held his own. Blessings and Good Health to all who reads the comments.

I wasn't familiar with the book of Motherless Brooklyn but the way Norton describes what he did in relation to it, it reminds me somewhat of the Nolan brothers' relationship to "Memento". The original 'Memento Mori' short story that Jonathan wrote all those years ago was basically just like a day in the life kind of snapshot of this poor lost soul suffering from perpetual short term memory loss due to his injury, how maddening it was just to try and get thru the day. Then Christopher and he built the bulk of this whole crime noir, nefarious-people-getting-killed plot on top of that character basis for the feature film (including very much the notion of telling it backward).

Comparison of our behavior to a rubber band is genius IMHO.
