I did a lot of shampooing when my girl had skin problems and was licking all the time. I would put coconut oil or wheat germ oil on her before I shampooed her. The shampooing helped her tremendously. I also used Allerderm Skin Emollient for dogs to help hydrate her skin from all the shampoos.
If you were me and had an itchy, massive hairy, itchy non stop feet and rump and buying all recommended here for 30 day relief, what food would you try for this miserable beauty?? Thanks so much and can’t wait to try this for my big 130lb boy❤️
Thank you! We feed a zero kibble diet. All fresh foods rotated, supplement daily, and had a fur test done. The fur test was spot on as my dog completely stopped all itching in 4 days to 3 wks. I had no idea your channel existed. I read all your blogs, too!! You are a wonderful wealth of information!! Subscribed and hit that bell!!
I have been struggling with my young GSD since last year. He's on a raw diet, Chinese herbs and all kind of great supplements. I am going to try your 30 day Itchy fix as I am desperate to see a change. Thank you for your information.
Just so I'm clear, after 30 days if my dog isn't itching anymore, do i stop the fish oil/shampoo/probiotic? Is there a "maintenance" dose I should maintain? Thank you!
You can give a maintenance dose of your fish oil and probiotics. As far as bathing goes, once every 4-6 weeks depending on what your dog needs should suffice.
Hi there. I've really been enjoying these video series! Thank you for sharing this valuable information. I have a couple of questions. Where is the inflammation coming from to make the dog itchy in the first place ? Also is there a green lipid oil brand that you can recommend?
Much of the time, the cause is a leaky gut. This is the first thing you would want to rule out. Here's more information on leaky gut and how to address it: www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/why-your-dogs-allergy-treatment-doesnt-work/
What about a 5pound chihuahua his fur is tight and smooth to the skin and scratches all the time and is getting bald spots near his sides closest to his back legs ?
Hi! Thank you for this video! We don't have four legged shampoo where I live and my dog is miserable. Pls tell me if Roche or Madre de cacao shampoo are fine to use?
It would be hard to say without seeing the ingredients we're not familiar with that brand. But here's more information on harmful shampoo ingredients to avoid: www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/20-ingredients-dont-want-dogs-shampoo/
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM agreed! What a shame the product I ordered just came today and despite doing a lot of research and asking for the actual ingredients which they said were only neem and Madre de cacao extract, I'm so upset that there's no ingredients listed on the bottle anywhere. Much better to purchase from reputable source next time. 🤦🏻♀️
Hi I have a 23 lb mini Golden Doodle and she is always itching sometimes I feel it’s just habit so I’m going to try this 30 day solution she has a sensitive tummy I’m giving her probiotics and honey for allergies and cooking her meals she really didn’t like the feel of raw meat so I’m trying to find a better solution for food any suggestions would be appreciated thank you
just use some quality coconut oil.....for my two dogs i just rub some into their problem areas on their fur/skin making sure to massage it well and it helps relieve itchiness dandruff. one of my dogs had some bumps on top of her head and after rubbing in coco oil for a few days it went away.
My dog is itchy not 24 seven but enough that it is very bothersome and I feel bad for him. He’s a German Shepherd and sometimes I wonder is he just so smart that he gets bored in the middle of the day when he’s not napping? I take him down to the dog park for an hour and even when he’s not running there’s no sign of itching there. We go on walks and if I stop to chat he’s not itching. I am giving him adequate really good fish oil, and krill oil, organic coconut oil, probiotics, turkey tail mushroom, bovine colostrum, honey derived here, turmeric, Sitosterol and one other I cannot remember the name. I’m not bathing him as regular as you are talking about so maybe I’ll try that but I did make an appointment with a holistic doctor because I don’t know what else to do and no I don’t feed him chicken just in case. This is driving me crazy so I’m doing really everything you’re saying except I’m not bathing him often. I just want to help him P.S his coat is shiney! And i use a natural shampoo By the way I have been doing this for two months now
I am considering following all your advice here for my 70 pound female GSD. Even with a good quality shampoo, I am just concerned that so much shampooing will wash away all the natural oils and leave her dryer and itchier?
I’m really interested in trying this…I just am trying to make sure I have this right so since my dog is 50lbs I would have to give her a total of 7500mg of green lipped mussel oil every day for 30 days!? Just seems like a lot when all the bottles say to give only about a 10th of that. I would love to know I understood that correctly before spending that much since I have 2 50lb itchy dogs.
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM But the MCT oil doesn't have to be advertised as being exclusively for dogs, correct? As long is it doesn't have lauric acid?

were you able to get relief for your baby? Did it work?
Can I use Fenbendazole, and how much can I give

Hello! I’m having a hard time finding an mct oil that’s organic and does not contain any lauric acid. Any brands that you would recommend?
Nutiva is a brand you could look into.
Great video. Do you have links to the products you mentioned?
Absolutely! You can find all the products mentioned in the video on this link!

I'm out of the country for several months. Will olive oil work? Or mct oil?
You could try MCT Oil!

I tried the mct oil, but my little malteses has been super itchy and it seemed to make it worse. I'm trying olive oil now.

Hi, my dog has EPI, should I opt for giving fish, what typenof fish and how much should I feed daily? Noting my dog is 105lb and what is MCT?

If your dog has pancreatits, you might want to work with a good holistic vet. We can recommend one who will work with you by phone if you wish!
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM I'd be interested in consulting a good holistic vet for my dog's allergies :-)
Is it 3000mg/20 lb of green lipped mussel oil?

Coconut oil can cause inflammation as well as leaky gut, a better option would be MCT oil.
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM Yes I’ve read the pros on this and I know you guys have said the opposite I’ll take it out and see what happens thank you
Would you still give oil to pancreatitis-prone breeds like schnauzers?
You can! Just start slowly.
Hello! My dog is itching just his muzzle and one spot on his leg - is he a candidate to try this? Or is it more for all over itching?
You can absolutely try this!
I am considering following all your advice here for my 70 pound female GSD. Even with a good quality shampoo, I am just concerned that so much shampooing will wash away all the natural oils and leave her dryer and itchier?
It doesn't in my experience - especially with the added oils. You can try without the bathing or less frequent bathing.
My diabetic little dog loves sardines. Are these good for him? He doesn't seem to have allot of rumbles and gas if I give him a sardine or two.
If you absolutely have to feed fish, then sardines are a decent choice. Just make sure the can is BPA-free and don't store them in an opened can.
In this 30 day protocol, what dosage of Haka Life Nutrition Green Lipped Mussel Oil for Dogs would you recommend?
Depends on the size of your dog. Here is more information about GLM dosing: www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/green-lipped-mussels-dog/

A triple dose of GLM oil for a 50 pound dog would be 150mg, not 7500! You need a much smaller amount of GLM oil than you do fish oil.
Do you have a recipe for a cat that licks the fur off her back side?
Has anyone been able to find the MCT oil without the lauric acid?
I'm in Canada so I'm not sure what brands are in the US - hopefully somebody else will chime in!
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM But the MCT oil doesn't have to be advertised as being exclusively for dogs, correct? As long is it doesn't have lauric acid?

MG's can be converted to ML through google! It can depend on the amount of omegas in the oil you are using.
