    I did a lot of shampooing when my girl had skin problems and was licking all the time. I would put coconut oil or wheat germ oil on her before I shampooed her. The shampooing helped her tremendously. I also used Allerderm Skin Emollient for dogs to help hydrate her skin from all the shampoos.

    Thank you! We feed a zero kibble diet. All fresh foods rotated, supplement daily, and had a fur test done. The fur test was spot on as my dog completely stopped all itching in 4 days to 3 wks. I had no idea your channel existed. I read all your blogs, too!! You are a wonderful wealth of information!! Subscribed and hit that bell!!

    Just so I'm clear, after 30 days if my dog isn't itching anymore, do i stop the fish oil/shampoo/probiotic? Is there a "maintenance" dose I should maintain? Thank you!

    • @DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM
      @DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM  2 года назад

      You can give a maintenance dose of your fish oil and probiotics. As far as bathing goes, once every 4-6 weeks depending on what your dog needs should suffice.

    just use some quality coconut oil.....for my two dogs i just rub some into their problem areas on their fur/skin making sure to massage it well and it helps relieve itchiness dandruff. one of my dogs had some bumps on top of her head and after rubbing in coco oil for a few days it went away.

    My dog is itchy not 24 seven but enough that it is very bothersome and I feel bad for him. He’s a German Shepherd and sometimes I wonder is he just so smart that he gets bored in the middle of the day when he’s not napping? I take him down to the dog park for an hour and even when he’s not running there’s no sign of itching there. We go on walks and if I stop to chat he’s not itching. I am giving him adequate really good fish oil, and krill oil, organic coconut oil, probiotics, turkey tail mushroom, bovine colostrum, honey derived here, turmeric, Sitosterol and one other I cannot remember the name. I’m not bathing him as regular as you are talking about so maybe I’ll try that but I did make an appointment with a holistic doctor because I don’t know what else to do and no I don’t feed him chicken just in case. This is driving me crazy so I’m doing really everything you’re saying except I’m not bathing him often. I just want to help him P.S his coat is shiney! And i use a natural shampoo By the way I have been doing this for two months now

      If you absolutely have to feed fish, then sardines are a decent choice. Just make sure the can is BPA-free and don't store them in an opened can.

    I’m really interested in trying this…I just am trying to make sure I have this right so since my dog is 50lbs I would have to give her a total of 7500mg of green lipped mussel oil every day for 30 days!? Just seems like a lot when all the bottles say to give only about a 10th of that. I would love to know I understood that correctly before spending that much since I have 2 50lb itchy dogs.

    • @DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM
      @DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM  2 года назад

      A triple dose of GLM oil for a 50 pound dog would be 150mg, not 7500! You need a much smaller amount of GLM oil than you do fish oil.
