As a former Police Officer in Scotland I enjoy watching your videos. The arrogance of these motorists is incredible. Well done chap 💪👏
As a former police officer in London I think this guy is an absolute tool. The arrogance of this cyclist who’s taking the law in his own hands is an outrage. If he wants to be a traffic cop be one. He’s only doing this so he can film and make money from RUclips. Worst kind of human and one day he’s gonna piss off the wrong driver
@@ianlishmund2200 former?
Thanks very much Robert! You can laugh at Ian - it's pure sour grapes. If I have the story correct he's the son of a driver who got convicted by one of my videos. Shamefully, that driver didn't show any remorse for his driving, having had a speeding conviction and a red light jumping conviction before he got the mobile conviction to take him to 12 points. He would have been disqualified, but was able to plead exceptional hardship. You can see comments from someone purporting to be the driver on the video for MV17BMZ with the same surname. At the time in court I felt glad he wasn't disqualified, but given those subsequent comments I'm considerably less impressed. I feel quite unimpressed at how that driver was unable to accept responsibility for his road pirate behaviour and wanted to blame everyone else but himself.
CyclingMikey calm down. He picked up the phone for a work call in a 15 mph zone for 10 seconds while backed up in standstill traffic. If disqualified that would have been career and home gone. You must be very proud of yourself. My comments have no baring on that incident anyways. I just don’t agree with the morality of what you do
Ian Lishmund But you’re relaxed about drivers approaching a junction on the wrong side of the road? Thank god you’re an ex-copper, stop digging!
So, the fact it even went to court means she must’ve still been in denial. Sometimes I feel bad for people who just make a momentary lapse in judgement but are humble after… but this driver deserves the award she got. Good work friend.
It’s one thing to have the cyclists on your side, it’s quite another when all the car drivers and pedestrians also agree.
Amusing use of statistics. "ALL?" Maynbe you should have stayed awake in class more often.

The smile on that woman’s face was just too creepy, like she thought this was a joke. Apparently, her parents entitled her a lot when she was a child. Good job, Mikey!

I love how firstly if she'd have stayed on the correct side she's have been able to turn right pretty much straight away. And secondly, she never did turn right.
I used to do this - film people close passing and cutting me up - I struggled with it in the end and found that filming, reviewing the footage and uploading it then writing letters and complaining to the police had the effect of elongating the wrongdoing with that then affecting my own mental wellbeing so I stopped riding with my camera - so I admire your ability to remain calm and detached and your sense of perspective - entitled motorists are a lethal threat to others - thank you for your efforts.
Why can’t people after being caught just reverse back and apologize? Too many people in society nowadays don’t want to admit they are wrong.
We live in a "no blame" society.
Easier to kick off than reverse and be embarrassed
Thing is if she had just taken the L and backed up she would probably have got no points or fine and if she did it would be minor but the sense of self entitlement and gross stupidity cost her dearly. I would personally not bother with the manourve she tried especially somewhere as busy as London and on a turn that where the view is restricted and there is a central traffic island present since all these factors mean its very likely to backfire on you. All those issues I mentioned are before even taking into account the fact its breaking the law.
you totally underestimate how hard these people find reversing. They buy a massive SUV to feel safe but are completely clueless about reversing them especially in a stressful situation like this. Driver retraining should cover a new reversing test for them.
This is amazing! I’m not a cyclist I’m a car driver, I can’t even ride a bike though I probably would give it a go if I had somewhere to keep a bike but these videos of idiots just thinking the rules or the road apply to everyone except them getting some justice are brilliant! It called the magic foot syndrome. They can place their “foot” (desire/need/want) anywhere and those all around will bend to provide. It’s learned behaviour and it happens everywhere. Exactly. I see that a lot in these videos. I’m amazed how many people swoop past the “keep left” sign (the clue is in the second word there) then say to Mikey “but I’m turning right here!!” with a shocked look that says Mikey is wrong and they are right!
She was in the right! ... Hand lane lol she be fine in America but not UK

She only moved when other motorists complained by honking their horns. Just goes to show how much contempt some drivers have for people on lesser forms of transport.
Not just traffic, it seems to be a general way of life , suppress the weaker.
In my experience over many years, women drivers can be more arrogant than men.
A snow plough should be parked in reserve ...if the driver slow to back up ...let the snow plough help change there mind.. auto backing and correct lane assistance...with the plough

I've watched numerous Galdalf Corner videos on this channel now, and it baffles me how the facial expressions of the drivers who go on the wrong side of the road because they're too good to wait in line like everyone else seem to suggest that they believe they are 100% and utterly completely in the right. What amazes me is how easily the other drivers let them back in the queue after Mikey makes them go back. What SHOULD happen is the I'm-too-important-to-wait-in-traffic driver should be made to wait as long as it takes to get back in line at the end of the queue. Then they can explain to their boss why they're late for work. "Sorry boss, I tried to bully my way through an intersection by driving the wrong way in order to save myself 30 seconds but I ended up waiting 10 minutes for an opening to get back in the queue."
She didn't want to reverse because she's no good at it! We greatly admire your commitment. In certain areas of southern Italy such a civil gesture would not be appreciated by motorists. Indeed, perhaps you would risk your life. Greetings from Italy
Did she have to explain herself in court?
I don't know - I wasn't called as witness.
@@CyclingMikey We've only just caught up with the rest of the country in west yorkshire and have a safer roads portal for submitting evidence of driving offences... I've discovered there's no feedback step in their process at all... as in once you submit a clip, the police won't tell you any which way what the outcome is... They've currently got 5 of my clips, but I don't want to nullify the process of prosecution by posting online, even though I also really do want to bring these incident into the public domain...
Good job done! I've seen cars do this at Traffic Lights to get in front of the line - by driving and blocking the wrong side. It drives me mad!!!
Well done! You'd think that a plain clothed police officer could do that job too and that the city wouldn't have to rely on you helping to police the roads. You've caught so many so surely they would as well.
Yes, it's not as though our emergency services are starved of resouces and short of personnel after years of tory cuts, they can just open another box of police officers any time they like.
Mickey, we need a where are they now follow up annually
Thank you EVER so much for what you are doing and for sharing it wit us, CyclingMikey. FANTASTIC 😃
incredible sense of entitlement. staggering
Entitlement comes as standard with that particular model
who does she think she is, you wait in the queue like others idiot
Some might call it a sense of entitlement some might call it mental illness, definitely looked like an episode to me
@@Barnaby_bo "Mental illness", the get out of jail free card.
Wow. I bet she took this anger out on someone in the office when she got the fine.
Well done for standing your ground Mikey. Is she checking her phone at 2:13 ?
Either that or trying to open the window and give Mikey an explanation for her egregious behaviour!
Hope this isn't a silly question why is it called Gandalf Corner?
I think it's based on the Gandalf meme "You shall not pass!", as Mikey regularly stops people at this junction.
Has anyone ever immediately profusely apologized and backed up?
