Thanks. I'm changing the coolant now on my 2008 Vulcan 2000. How do you bleed air out of the system? Manual says leave radiator cap off and then run the engine until the bubbles stop. That is exactly what i do on my Concours because the radiator cap is accessible. However with the VN2000 the radiator cap is only accessible with the gas tank off. Manual says nothing about this. Do they expect us to attach the lines to gas tank and then prop it up so the radiator cap is accessible and then start the engine??? Doesn't sound like a safe practice.

As long as you put 2.2 litres in the cooling system everything will be fine... Any air locks will disappear when you start riding...
wow, that looks like a lot of work. there has to be an easier way, without removing half the bike
