@@xote316 it depends how you go about it. DIY or company built. Probably expensive either way because of the safety involved but a prebuilt, top end trike can be roughly 12k or more. You want to get a heap of sponsors and know how to do running trike repairs or have a team mates who knows. Trikes do come up for sale though on the AHPVSS web site. Cheers
These little things remind me a lot of the "Shell Eco-Challenge", a high school/college level fuel efficiency event they run over at Indianapolis. The existence of pedal powered vehicles of very similar layout is therefore very amusing to me. Do they let these guys have mirrors? Seems like they'd be important in such a large field.
@@StarkRaven59 inside the trike they have two very small mirrors yes. Most of the trikes are school based but their is also a number of community teams. Although their fiercely competitive, most of the teams are the nicest bunch of people. They do run the Adelaide circuit in three days though because the chaos caused by the younger kids, who don’t know how to use their mirrors, can result in many unnecessary rollovers. Trike are rather expensive. Thanks heaps for the message 😁
I don't know why this pop up, no offence but I can not believe that there are this many people who want to spend their money building a rig and travel to race it. Its just not my interest. However. I wish those who are in to it, the best of luck and happy racing. I learnt something new today. 🤔😀
It’s school students. It’s schools from around Adelaide who race in teams. It’s creates camaraderie, builds resilience and teaches kids the power of endurance. It’s very beneficial to their development. It’s also fun for them, and families love to come watch and support their kids.
Lol, the guy turtled at the start. Such is life.
This looks like so much fun
How much does it cost to build one of these? I just found out about this series earlier today

They're moving for peddles.
Assuming its incredibly hot in there?
@@1compaqedr8 a lot of them have small vents but some don’t. Doesn’t help with aerodynamics but lessens the humidity and fog on the windscreen. Cheers
