Great coverage and commentary. The announcers facts led you to believe exactly what happens at the end. Very experienced commentary, and that makes or breaks a race when you're not there, and have to see it on TV. The announcers really made me feel like I was there that day. Loved every minute.
So happy To see Kayla Yaakov's progression throughout the years. Really hope to see her fighting for podiums in the coming years. And the Loris Baz and Josh Herrin power-couple is a great addition to 2024 🤣 Thanks MotoAmerica for making this accessible for us regular folk!!!
As a Brit it was great to see Peter Hickman giving his specially prepared 765 Triumph a ride out. We don't usually get to ride around Ovals, so I bet he had a real blast. 😁😁
It's really cool to see him championing those 765s. Hopefully those triples keep getting better... so he can pull off some wins in the Supersport class at the TT. . Correct me if I'm wrong but I think he's only won that one Supersport race in 18 (19?) when it was damp out and the race was shortened to two laps (on the 675?)

If Peter Hickman, the winner of everything at the Isle of Man TT and multiple wins at Macau GP, is 3.63 seconds slower than pole position and only 12th on the grid, then everyone else behind him might as well just pack up and go home. because If he's so much slower than the top guys then what hope do the guys and the two gals, starting behind him have. Just as I was writing this... "Jessica Capizzi, our only female out there" (58th position on the grid) The dude obviously wasn't paying attention when he announced Kayla Yakov in 18th position.
Yeah what was last years race red flagged on lap 8? I switched over to the 1983 Daytona 200 during the red flag stoppage and never went back. Same for the Hooligan race this year couldn't make it to 3 laps of a 6(?) lap race without getting a red flag... booooo
Peter Hickman is a world class rider. He holds the outright lap record at the IOM TT at 16m 36:115 a average of 136.358 mph on the 37.73mile course The yanks rarely come over and try to tackle the TT. Out of curiosity what is the average speed around the bike course at Daytona 3.5 mile course. I'd love to see top US racers come to the TT, that'd take real b*lls.
MotoAmerica: please list the motorcycle model under the names when you introduce the grid graphic. Some of us are very interested in the brand and model of motorcycle being raced by individual riders. It's hard to find that data without digging.

That was a great race with many great competitors. I'm not sure the competitive balance is right with the V2s and inline 4s, I would love to hear more about the class rules and what bikes are allowed in. They had what, 955cc twins, 750cc 4 cylinder, 600cc 4 cylinder? Not sure if they had any triples or other configurations?

I guess a little controversary at this years Supercross as the VIP trackside fans rushed the track before the final bike finished(?) In my last years of attending the 200 most of the fans I met in the stands were other racers competing in the smaller races and/or family & relatives of racers in all of the events. Nothing like the 1970's where the infield & grandstands were packed for Racers like Ago, Saarinen, Barry Sheene (Almost), Romero, Baker, King Kenny, Spencer, GP Bikes, TZ750's, etc. etc. etc.
@@RedlineRick2007 Couldn't really see any spectators going by the coverage. Old coverage from the 70's show healthy attendances. Winners from the 70's often went on to race in GP's in Europe. Crowds in events such as Daytona seem to be dwindling whilst events such as the IOM TT have seen a resurgence of crowd numbers.

Well Yamaha could build a proper R7 sportbike with a 750cc I4 (not the FZ07 based twin). Or use the FZ09 motor and build a sportbike that still meets homologation rules. The 600cc class is virtually dead.

Yes pit road exit and International Horseshoe have been changed for safety but the minor lengths differences are due to the 'bus-stop' errr chicane err whatever flavor of the month they are calling it configuration. At least for the 200 they are back up on the west high bank but at 168/9 mph top speeds... yawn. Oh well the NW200 is less than 2 months away.

I used to like the way racing technology improved road bikes, and then the wings started showing up on pub car parks. I can't think of anything more useless and sometimes even the cause of great sadness when the side stand sinks in the dirt and the bike topples over. What a shame!

That’s crap racing with 57 rounds and traffic splitting right from 9th round. Sorry. Throw them slow monkeys out. There shouldn’t be traffic before 8/10 of the rounds been done. It’s like a track-day with experts racing in the beginners stint.
I was one of the first to get lapped. I'd run off in six and took some time to get turned around. I didn't get lapped till lap 18 last year. BTW, I'll race you any time Giancarlo.
I had a Brit blow a tire up on the banking right in front of me last October. 1000's at 200 mph for 20 laps before swapping tires sounds sketchy to me.
While I did like this you did a good job but you didn't stick to the podium to see the drivers get their trophy's. You should interview with the 5 th place racer while 3 place 2nd place and 1st place getting their trophy's. I been yelling at the screen hay camera man get back to the podium I want to see the drivers get their trophy's. Come on get back to the podium. Then you went to the booth. Come on get back to the podium now now when you finally went back got to see watch. Bomber bomber. Next when you do the races please stay with the podium to see the drivers get their trophy's okay. Easy to win when Ducati run a full blown superbike, 950cc. Cheating a*seholes. The rest were 600cc or 750 at most. Not a 1000cc superbike. Why they let Ducati cheat is beyond me

I got my arm wrecked a few years ago. Doctors done their bit for me. I took a dog to my local veterinary and he asked what happened my arm.i told him and he loaned me that lazer it really fast forward the healing .

Does anyone know why they shorten the course? This is not the same layout as the Daytona 24.
The bikes race a different layout to the IMSA cars and NASCARs.
This looks like the same layout as the Daytona 24 to me. With the exception of starting on pit lane.

The only difference is that the motorcycles take an earlier horseshoe, I think just for safety. Other than that it's the same course.

I had a Brit blow a tire up on the banking right in front of me last October. 1000's at 200 mph for 20 laps before swapping tires sounds sketchy to me.
While I did like this you did a good job but you didn't stick to the podium to see the drivers get their trophy's. You should interview with the 5 th place racer while 3 place 2nd place and 1st place getting their trophy's. I been yelling at the screen hay camera man get back to the podium I want to see the drivers get their trophy's. Come on get back to the podium. Then you went to the booth. Easy to win when Ducati run a full blown superbike, 950cc. Cheating a*seholes. The rest were 600cc or 750 at most. Not a 1000cc superbike. Why they let Ducati cheat is beyond me
