Because it’s essentially boring if you’re not into two wheels. I'm confused as to your rules specifying which motorcycles are eligible for this race. Hey you guys - in the graphical display of the race order on the left of the screen - you need to also list what machine the respective rider is on. That is important to me. Thank you for all your efforts to get this great race back to where it used to be. You are doing a good job. Thanks - A Grame Crosby fan sitting here in New Zealand.
And possibly add another sensor or three to update rider position rather than once per lap. Rather lame compared to "other" international racing... MotoGP, WSBK, etc etc. Two days and free watch of 2024 will be here. Hope they have gained technical analysis commentators, not so much "Olympic" story festival. I doubt both above.
My first time watching a bike race at these speeds ...fantastic! Now I'm hooked will have to go to one LIVE! So Thrilling! I want Herrin to win the last lap. WOW! What a race.
Herrin runs wide at a lot of corners, but Escalante runs a tighter line throughout the latter parts of the race. So, when Herrin goes for a tighter line for the pass, and Escalante tips it in at that same moment, it's no wonder they collide.
We met Brandon Paasch with our toddler at a local AMA Supermoto event. What a great friendly and upstanding ambassador for your sport. It's made us new fans.
Man josh is such an animal. I just had him for a day of coaching a couple weeks ago before my races in SoCal and its so cool that he practices what h preaches.
Great racing, so awesome seeing the different cc bikes preform so much better at certain areas of the track. I get there’s different levels of race tunes. Per cc. But displacement helps at times, hurts at other areas. Very cool race!!! Awesome video!
That was a hard earned race for Herrin . He was always being pushed by the fastest bikes and in the most challenges . His tires were on their last leg and he had to take a 6 position penalty and 10 laps were issued for the restart but he pushed on to win ! Congrats ... very exciting race to watch !
Amazing racing and it was action packed and the 10 lap restart after red flag made even more exciting. Daytona 200 never disappoints. Thanks to MotoAmerica for uploading the full race and very much appreciate it. I am from the other part of the world and there is no other way to watch MotoAmerica in India, so thank you very much.🤩👍👍
Jeeez! What a dramatic race! Sincere thanks to all who made this video possible! A tip of the hat to Escalante and his Suzuki team. I’m rooting for him next season !
Love this race. If there were a motorcycle triple crown, this would be part of it. Daytona 200, Isle of Mann TT, and and the 8 hours of Suzuka are my "triple crown" since there is no official one.
If I were to include a MotoGP race, Assen, but the 3 I mentioned seem more prestigious than any single MotoGP. I would also add Macau but there's only 3 spots. Arbitrary I know but still.
Way too dangerous, honestly I'm surprised they still run the 200. Bikes have so much more power than 40 or 50 years ago. You would have at least 1 fatality between the Moto GP/2/3 classes every year they'd run there if they tried.
Thanks for putting the races on RUclips. What happened to the tribute lap to John Ashmead? It was supposed to be done by Michael Barnes on one of John's old bikes.
Thank you for showing this race. I watched it from end to end. I'm not sure how I feel about the re-start with ten laps to go. Everyone worked their ass off for 180 miles only to be put back at the start again for the last twenty. It just doesn't seem fair. Am I wrong somehow?
I couldn't make heads or tails of that. Unfortunately, the announcers added to the confusion rather than giving a good explanation. How a lapper can go to the lead in less than a half lap makes NASCAR's wacky rules seem reasonable. If I understood them correctly, there were 5 on the lead lap at the red flag and 8 on the lead lap at the restart? If nothing else, Peterson should have been placed at the back of the grid seeing as he apparently was the rider just in front of Herron at the red.
It was never packed for the 200, but there were a lot more spectators in the past. Combination of COVID (still?) and lack of publicity. They don't spend much on these races anymore. I think it did matter that all the races used to be on Speed. It got a lot more coverage. I used to love Two Wheel Tuesdays.
