I was really hard on myself last week I compared myself to a cockroach (and the cockroach won). I was with younger people and they were talking about whether or not to have children and I said even at 66 you second guess yourself, a cockroach knows his purpose is to live and breed, and if that was my purpose too I've failed. Fortunately I am quite sure that was not my purpose there are more than enough humans. I have been retired 1 year now and I have been busy but no wow project that I am passionate about. Still I am reasonable happy. Grade B+.
I'm back!!!! I loved this and have been thinking a lot about it. I write. for the past year, I have been exploring what to write about. soon I will have more time to think about and explore to find the answer.
What if you have spent your whole life caring for others and serving others and now, you just want to relax, travel, and do self-care? I think that is where I'm at!
How’s it going, Reinventers? Is it possible to figure out your life’s purpose in five minutes or less? I believe that you can. Watch this video and let me know what your purpose is in the comments below.
My purpose is to help others weed through the mounds of misinformation being spread by fitness influencers on how to lose weight and live a healthy lifestyle that they can love and easily maintain.
By the very definition of the word, purpose assumes an intelligent creator and so the purpose of our life requires God. How is it then that you have completely eliminated God from finding purpose? I'm not trying to start an argument, I just can't grasp what you must mean by purpose.
@@ReinventingU As an engineer, I use the word frequently. If I see a design feature, for example, and I don't understand it, I ask the designer it's purpose. I'm asking what function does it fulfill. Why is it there? If you google "define:purpose" Google responds (based on the Oxford Dictionary): "the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists." That is by far the most common definition and it's mine also.

I think the better question is: how do you define purpose, Matthew?
