When you switch to the gold yarn you make front and back posts. I have trouble with those stitches. I think it’s a mental block. Is there an alternative that you can recommend. Thank you so much💜

Try moss stitch. It uses the row below the working one to create texture which will be good practice before trying post stitches again. Post stitches are usually difficult at first when one isn't sure where each part of a stitch is located. If you try a simpler stitch that works with the row below your working one it makes learning pregressively harder stitches easier.
