Ok so i tried making only the cake without the ganache, it was my first time ever baking and turned out perfect, it was so good, my family loved it, it looked beautiful and it tasted even better when i put in fridge after it cooled down, I loved it, I'll try other recipes of yours as well!!
I made this and it is AMAZING! Full of chocolate flavor and not too sweet! Perfect! My friend fell in love with it! I made the cake in a 20cm pan though and I didn't reduce the baking time so it didn't come out as soft and moist as the original one but that's on me. I will do it again (properly) and I will share my results (if anyone's interested). UPDATE: So I decided to do 1.5 times the recipe (basically all the ingredients*1.5) and baked it for 22 minutes. The result was much better and visibly softer. Taste wise it's still perfect! Maybe next time I will bake it even less for a more moist result!
@@juveriakhatri9233 if you have the 15cm pan it's 170 degrees for 25 minutes. I don't have that so I decided to make more of the batter to make the cake taller. I think it's better this way. If you try the original measurements with the 20cm pan please let me know. It certainly need way less than 25 minutes baking. ☺️
I tried this recipe without the frosting because my grandma's diabetic, and it was perfect. Added some dark chocolate chips and it's probably the best chocolate cake I've ever made. Using this from now on :))
i made this cake and it came out rly good!! here’s some stuff i noticed: -standard cocoa powder (like the one in most american grocery stores) will make the cake eat lighter and not as rich, i was okay with that as it still came out great! -putting it in the fridge overnight makes is way easier to slice, the ganache is more firm and the whole thing stays together -the ganache is the more overpowering of the two parts of the cake, the actual cake is rly yummy but the ganache is like the best part
I tried making this cake yesterday and it taste so good😋 The cake is moist and the chocolate ganache is rich in flavour. I used 8 inch cake mould and had to bake it at 170°c for 45 mins. For the chocolate ganache, i only use the dark chocolate, butter and whipping cream. Btw, thank you for sharing this amazing recipe🤍
I’ve tried this recipe and it is soooooo deiciousss. For the ganache I only use dark chocolate couverture and didn’t use the syrup because I don’t have it. I put the ganache in the fridge for a while to make it more firm before putting it on the cake. The cake is so rich and not overly sweet. It’s a really really good cake I love it ❤️❤️❤️

@@chaerinsistas1935 Hi thereee, I think for cupcake you might want to bake it for a shorter time. Maybe 15-30 minutes. You should check the cupcake from time to time, maybe use a toothpick to see if the cupcake is done. It’s fine if you want to bake the cupcake with the same temperature as the one in this recipe. Made this cake today! Added more instant coffee powder and halved the ganache recipe (only used the dark couverture) since I put all the batter into one 26 cm baking form instead of making 3 layers. It’s easy to make and tastes good! Just a bit drier and sweeter than I like. Next time I’ll add more milk/butter/egg and see how it goes. Thanks for the great recipe! :)

I made this and everyone loved it! Even though I didn’t have all the ingredients exactly as in the recipe, I tried my best to follow the tips and technical instructions and it was amazing! I also didn’t have 3 separate pans for the layers and made one big one. Some things I would do differently in that case is increase the volume of batter as my pan was on the large side and the sides were a bit thinner than the centre, and to bake for shorter time if using a gas oven. Despite these small details the taste was perfect! Love your recipes ❤

Made it! The sponge cake is perfect, would cut some of the sugar next time though... I also whipped the ganache that’s meant for the filling when it reached room temperature. Best chocolate cake I’ve ever made!

Okay so the quantity of sugar was low for me. Other than that the cake was amazing! I didn't have chocolate so I used an amazing chocolate buttercream recipe so it worked out well! ^-^ This is the second time I've tried a cake from your channel and it worked perfectly. So now I confidently trust all of your recipes. Please make more cakes!
Ann, you could omit the syrup - the end product will still be edible, obviously. However, the starch syrup will make the end result more elastic. Since cake usually isn't demolished in five minutes, the elasticity helps with being able to have a decent next-day product. Oh, and Koreans love shiny. They add that syrup to even savory noodle dishes because it adds an appealing glossiness/sheen to the final product. Good question, and hope this helps!

inverted sugars allow the ganache to be more pliable so that it isn't too brittle when it firms up, you want this especially for a fudgey frosting
Ann, you could omit the syrup - the end product will still be edible, obviously. However, the starch syrup will make the end result more elastic. Since cake usually isn't demolished in five minutes, the elasticity helps with being able to have a decent next-day product. Oh, and Koreans love shiny. They add that syrup to even savory noodle dishes because it adds an appealing glossiness/sheen to the final product. Good question, and hope this helps!

I think you can use maple syrup or honey
corn syrup, glucose syrup are great too as they are flavorless
