    @tiphu You said that "100% of pro bodybuilders use steroids or HGH or both", this is NOT true. I am an ALL Natural Body Builder and have competed in All Natural Bodyl Building shows. If you look up the WNBF or it's amatuer division INBF you will see that those guys are the real deal. Maybe in order to compete for Mr. O you need to take roids, but when you say that 100% pro bodybuilders use roids then you should check your facts.

    3:05 "getting ready for the heavy resistance" with 3 plates on each side. Your fucking kidding me.......

  • @nevermoregg
    @nevermoregg 11 лет назад +1

    Lol if every pro bodybuilder takes steroids, then really there's no difference between natural and pro bodybuilding contest, except for the fact that pro bodybuilders will look like freaks compared to natural bodybuilders. It's still hella hard to compete in either one, and i'm pretty sure he'll still be pretty big if he was natural, just not as big. No scrawny little kid who rarely works out can take steroids and go from 120 lbs to 280 lbs.

    "death grip" actually hits your chest harder because it helps take your triceps out of the press. Even with small hands it's easy to control the bar with that grip. Try it and you are guaranteed to feel it in your chest more.

    If you can replicate his form and volume to a tee, then you can talk, but Kai's form is near perfection. He makes better gains than you because he completely stretches and flexes his muscles and he completely isolates the body part he is intending to train. Sure, you may do the same weight, but you're incorporating other muscles because you merelywant to get the weight up. He can use BS form and do tons of weight, but he doesn't have an ego getting in his way.

    Oscar having Kai go for heavy sets just weeks before Olympia? Doesn't look smart to me. Why train for strength when it's a bodybuilding contest? Doesn't target hypertrophy and risks injury. Makes sense Kai dropped Oscar.

    lmao dude, he could probably be benching 7-8 platees if he wanted to, you just know the way he trains, he is more focussed on contracting his muscles for maximum muscle growth, he doesn't care about the amount of weight, go read a book or something

    oh youre so lost my man
    its seems you dont have any idea
    as BB always say:Weight is just secondary
    As you say
    He's weak?
    so you just define weakness in lifting a certain weight?
    you are so wrong dude
    if you cant go to the gym,then you're weak!
    if you cant diet,then you're weak!
    if you dont see gains,and quit,then you are weak
    if you cheat/jerk you reps,then you're weak
    and
    you stay weak!if you dont surround yourself with positive thoughts
    its not about the weight my friend
    its about DEDICATION

  • @phoenixbb770
    @phoenixbb770 11 лет назад

    its all subjective you know? the way he prefers to feel his muscles contract is relative to the weight he uses, and that is his choice.
    bro, bodybuilders are all strong because you do need certain standard of strength to reach a certain standard of size, and once you get to that standard of strength you can push and pull in whatever way you want. heavy or light. kai chooses light most of the time. its what he likes. go check out ronnie bro, he goes heavy. why? cuz he fucking wants too :P

  • @TheArcticWonder
    @TheArcticWonder 12 лет назад

    Actually "bodybuilding" by definition is all about aesthetics. It's about how you shape and mold your body, not the weight or your strength. Why do you think a competiton in bodybuilding is up on a stage getting looked at, not a bench max competition or a squat or deadlift competition? Because bodybuilding actually IS all about the muscle. If you want strength, you have powerlifting. As hard as it is to realize, muscle doesn't equate to strength in a fixed ratio.

  • @Loveiskind51

    Quick comment here, Kai Greene is 8% body fat if you payed any attention to his mentor in the video, he's 308lbs of hard, cut, toned and well earned muscles, he has a bulging six pack with water ripples at 308lbs, most people who aren't body builders have a cheeseburger looking gut, Kai Greene is a committed individual who is one of the best in his sport, who cares if he takes supplements ?

  • @jason7456

    @N722DK Listen up mate, i know thing more than you do. I have been training in the gym for 2-3 years thou i do not take roids. So, let me ask you something. when you said i do not know shit about what it takes to train like him so do you? Do you even know why and how does gym exist? And why is there body builders around? If you freaking do not know anything do not talk back to me. Have some common sense kid.

  • @ls400ridin
    @ls400ridin 13 лет назад

    i loves kai's outfit...hat.hoodie,compresion pants and boxing shoes....the gym is ment to build muscle not show it off...i feel the same way your in own zone and kno the way you look underneith it....its a BIG mental game and i think when u cant see your body you wanna work harder during the workout because you cant see it change and swell during the workout wich makes you work that much harder.......kai in my opion is a very very underated bodybuilder and is just on the outside of winning mr o

  • @SmexyPC
    @SmexyPC 13 лет назад

    @youngsurvivor lol that is one of the dumbest things i have ever heard. bench pressing will NOT give u a hunched back AT ALL. UNLESS you arch your back like no tmr. a slight arch or a "powerlifting arch" is fine. dont wry about it and no dont give up your benching keep doing it! :D oh and btw, if that was true, then the 98% of ppl in the entire world who bench press and touch their chest wit the bar, would have a hunched back which never happened.

  • @cheemooo
    @cheemooo 13 лет назад

    Spotting someone dose not mean lifting the weight for them. It means being ready to grab the weight if they have a problem of any kind. Struggling some doesnt qualify as a problem its just a normal part of training. If it was an issue of ijnury prevention then he could just use less weight. Anyhow this is not what it seems to be for it looks more like lack of good reasoning! If he can lift the weight on his own in good for then that means hes strong enough so injury is unlikely.

  • @vsaxena20
    @vsaxena20 14 лет назад

    Getting big and strong merely requires intense dedication and commitment. By the way, using protein shakes and supplements has nothing whatsoever to do with using steroids. If you're stupid enough to believe otherwise, then no wonder you'll always be a wimp. PS - I'm pretty small myself, but I don't make excuses. I take responsibility for my lack of commitment, not to mention my pesky smoking & drinking habits.

  • @ReneM2000
    @ReneM2000 14 лет назад

    @HEYIMATANK ....you should know that age has very little to do with potential....I will correct myself. Kai Greene is currently changing the future, and when i say future, I mean Mr. O and most bodybuilders who won are in their mid 30's. Phil is already 30, dennis is 32, brandon and evan are 2 and 28 respectively so age really has very little to do with someone being "the future". All Trey Brewer needs is a proper trainer, he is only 25 and has achieved crazy mass so I wouldn't rule him out.

  • @jungletiger911
    @jungletiger911 14 лет назад

    @APArawDeadlifter So I'm a moron trollhunter ? HAHA. I'm not the one who has my spotter making me look like "I need help" ( even tho we both know he doesn't ).
    Point is, if the guy is throwing the weight around fairly easy, STAY AWAY FROM THE BAR. This isn't Powerlifting where he is going for 1-4 reps. I spot my workout partner all the time, and I NEVER touch the bar except on liftoff, I can tell when he is gonna hit failure pretty much, and I just let him go til he cant go no more ....

  • @jungletiger911
    @jungletiger911 14 лет назад

    WHY are the spotters even touching the bar when the lifter is lifting ??? I understand the liftoff, but spotters should NEVER touch the bar UNLESS the guy benching hits a sticking point OR asks the guy to "stay with me", but DON'T TOUCH THE BAR unless he hits failure. Damn, amateur spotting. Its more than just throwing heavy weight around - I would get rid of them spotters or teach them to liftoff, then leave alone unless a sticking point is hit ! DAMN !

  • @scottmuscles
    @scottmuscles 15 лет назад

    Ronnie wouldn't challenge if he came back. Vic will be back to his best by then, and the olympia is about the whole package, not just mass anymore, so he has the aesthetics over kai, just depends if vic gets that conditioning that was absent at the arnold. As for Jay, he is trying to come in around 250 which I think could be risky as alot of his points come from mass as opposed to symmetry and conditioning- i mean he won day 2 last year and that was cos he lost all that water overnight

  • @ILoveZoophilia
    @ILoveZoophilia 11 лет назад

    the grip where you dont enclose the bar with your thumb is called "suicide grip". If you dont have complete control over the barbell using that grip, it might fall out of your hands pouncing down on your throat, killing you. Some people feel that they can get a better contraction and a cleaner movement pattern by using that grip. The other grip is just a normal grip

  • @Loveiskind51
    @Loveiskind51 12 лет назад

    And also, the supplements he does take is to purely support his body weight, ideally with weight you need extra supplements/vitamins/nutrients to make up for the food that is IMPOSSIBLE to safely eat in a day. For all else who know nothing about lifting, or building mass, please don't say anything because I die a little when a rookie thinks he knows something clever.

  • @HTswedee
    @HTswedee 12 лет назад

    @xTheFormlessOne1 Indeed it's true that people need different things to grow(in forms of weight, reps, sets and exercises) But people on youtube very(very!) often try to preach about how if you're not 100% perfect in form, you're doing wrong and/or if someone is getting mass without perfect form, they're automatically on steroids.. just sayin'

  • @frtknokr
    @frtknokr 13 лет назад

    STAY NATURAL, PEOPLE. a normal human being shouldn't look like these professional bodybuilders look. I am 6'2" and 250 and I have never even taken a suppliment in my life. right after Brain surgery, in three months, I went from 225 to 250. i Will not take steroids and I will be happy because there dangerous and horrific side effects to taking steroids.

  • @cheemooo
    @cheemooo 13 лет назад

    Whats wrong with these guys? No matter what level there at theres no explanation for touching the bar while someone is lifting. If they are able to do the reps on their own why touch the bar? All they are doing is cheating themselves and losing confidence in lifting the weight instead of building confidence.

  • @RECON4NOW
    @RECON4NOW 14 лет назад

    I hate when people stop everything they're doing in the gym and start staring at you like an idiot while you lift. If I was as big as Kai Greene I would probably only train in the real hardcore gyms where only serious individuals train and don't have time to be watching other people work hard while they take a 30 minute "break" between "sets" lol.

  • @fcukyourmother
    @fcukyourmother 14 лет назад

    thats a good spotter, all too often you see spotters letting the bar stop... that what messes up muscle stimulation and puts you into unecessary failure... the bar should keep moving so the chest keeps getting stimulated. when the bar stops half way and your fighting it that does not help with growth at all and messes your SET up.

  • @Fir3fly798
    @Fir3fly798 14 лет назад

    @mandora45 Well I honestly have not met Jay. I was going based off what other pros said about him. I do prefer Kai as I said. Jay's past his prime and when someone is past their prime they have to have something exceptional about to stand out and jay does nothing but train like a little girl lately and promote his lame clothing line.

  • @pandabearguy1
    @pandabearguy1 14 лет назад

    @HEYIMATANK yeah, but that doesn't give any indication of how strong you are, couse i bet he can bench 5 plates alot easier than you can! relativ strenght isn't the same as toatl strenght. so you can't call him not strong, becouse 5 plates is hella much and just becouse he is heavy, that doesn't make him any less strong.

  • @muscleurjohnson

    Kai has been around for a long time in the natural arena since a young age. He cleaned house there and now he's banging in out with the pros. It's just to bad he doesn't fit the criteria of a Mr. Oylmpia. He is the best out there, all around. Just getting a bum rap. Shoudl've been more carefull what he did outside of bb world. As for phil, would be interesting to see what the yr off has done for that rapidly developing freak. And dex, always cut, can he add another 5 or so pounds- would make him a true fav. And wolf - after he had those injuries prior to last years show meaning he didnt come out his best, hope he has finally gone away and worked on those weak parts, but still not a real contender:

  • @antonb000
    @antonb000 12 лет назад

    he's way taller for one.. he could be bigger if he were a bodybuilder. bigger doesn't mean stronger, bodybuilders train for volume, not strength. Ronnie Coleman is one of the strongest bodybuilders, yet he would not be able to compete in a power lifting meet, he'd get outclassed in every category

  • @RustyFudge
    @RustyFudge 12 лет назад

    If you were a huge fan you'd know how poor he was. Back then, it really was the best option for him because he really needed the money to compete.
    Even now he refuses to buy a car and chooses to live in the projects because he's the most humble guy you'll ever know.

  • @LABESTIA12

    @dan13718 Well pal, supplements are necessary for those people that due to their physical activity require an additional intake of nutrients to build their bodies. For those people that can't do a push up well they don't need that additional boost. I'm guessing you're the latter

  • @MutsuKazuma
    @MutsuKazuma 13 лет назад

    @xTheFormlessOneIGF1 and because of that bodybuilding also doesn't count as sport that involves strength, you need strength but it's not the goal, powerlifting is counted as one of those, body building is just about looks that's why it isn't an actual sport to begin with

  • @jungletiger911

    Honestly I don't think Phil is gonna take it he will easily make top 5 this year, but I think 1st is gonna be between Jay and Kai and Victor. I just think they know how to peak a bit better then Jackson and a few others. The only person I could say that has a better chance then Jay is Dennis.

  • @kiwihotty
    @kiwihotty 15 лет назад

    I think Victor Martinez will be ahead of Jay. The odds are in Dex's favour to repeat because we all know to beat the champ you have to really knock him out especially when it comes to the olympia. I really feel Jay was lucky to get 2nd last year he was way off his best. Count down is on!!!!

  • @BlinkVirus

    @leftpuman erm, nutrition is very important, yeah, you wanna get about 1 hour excersise in. Sleep is very important too. My philosophy is 1.diet 2.sleep 3. training... you wanna try to eat on time though. whey shake (quick protein)during breakfast, with good cereal/fruit for carbs. some carbs before a workout too, make sure you get some whey after a workout followed by a good meal, then before bed make sure u get some slow absorbing protein for the night, like some meat or time realease shakes

  • @WhalehunterMarcus

    You know, I think it's just Kai being strong, I mean he uses big weights for us, that are not necessarily big lifts for him. He can use say 400lbs bench with control and feel, but this 400lbs would be, say 1 strained rep for us.

  • @50centfaneminem
    @50centfaneminem 13 лет назад

    @cheemooo because doing that many sets for reps take a tole mentally so he need his mentor to be with him at all times. even if he not really helping its what Kai needs to push harder. if you cant focus with a spotter then don't use a spotter simple

  • @chewie2240
    @chewie2240 13 лет назад

    @cheemooo Yeah that really pisses me off too. Clearly Kai is strong enough to handle reps with 5 plates on his own so why is that clown spotting him putting his hands all over the bar? It kills my bench workouts if a spotter does that.

    train your chest once a week
    eat alot of carbs and 1.5g of protein per pound of ur body fat.

    Haha you think he is weak? Look up the video of him shoulder pressing 4 plates then dropping it to 3 then 2 then 1. He is the exact opposite of weak. And considering strength isn't even his goal yet he is able to lift this heavy, I find that very fucking impressive. Besides, you can't knock somebody who is second best in the world at their sport..

  • @DZS123
    @DZS123 11 лет назад

    This might come off as a very stupid question but am really new to the bodybuiling world. Why do bench press spotters lift the weight (assisting the guy benching) with their forearms instead of their hands?

  • @IGIVEWELLz0r

    He uses as much weight as he can, without sacrificing his form. "bodybuilders contract the muscle under increasing amounts of resistance" they dont just move the weights around, not matter how light or heavy.

    Honestly, it is not hard to get the training like kai Greene used to. He took Steroids and many other kinds of vitamins pills and sort of eggs... and he has been training in the gym for at least more than 6 years.

    @Pedz5657 nothing really... Its light so they dont actually need to incorporate their lower body strength into lifting. Now when it starts to get really heavy, you need to put your foot down flat and use a little bit of your lower body like the legs to help push the weight up.

    Yes,his form is perfect and yes,he make better gains because of that.But that is not what i am talking about.There are many smaller but way stronger bodybuilders which have good proportions and symmetry.

    not really. professional bodybuilders put so much muscle on as they can but they are also limited by their genetics as any other human. derek poundstone is just other bodied, he is a giant.

    Of all the countries in the world, only three backwaters still use the archaic Imperial system of weights and measures. Liberia, Burma and the United States of America. Ignorance much, bro?
