@@imaran1303 As somebody who normally plays 8s and 9s, bugs are trivial compared to bots. Bile titans are so easy to deal with, you can kite them forever. The 500kg, rail cannon, and railgun make them trivial to deal with. You can just run away from everything the bugs can spawn if you are low on ammo or stratagems. Bots are so bullshit in comparison, you are forced to stick in cover because half the enemy types can one shot you from way too far away. I can deal with 4 bile titans and a bunch of charger solo, I can't deal with 4 tanks and a bunch of hulks solo. I have lost count of the number of instances where I am stuck sitting behind a rock because a bunch of cannon turrets from over 100m away are staring at me. Also, bugs don't have jammers and anti-air. The game loves to spawn multiple tanks and hulks in one within range of the objective.
@11zhaov1 I can do that too: Tanks are so easy, they can be cited forever and need only only one orbital railcannon to destroy, most of the bot enemies can be taken out with a autocannon, whereas crushers can shrug of autocannon fire. You are REQUIRED to take railgun, which only has one shot per mag and 20 shots in general. Put on a shield pack to trivialize most of the bot attacks and just focus down the rocket raiders as they take forever and a day to finally shoot and have total Stormtrooper aim. And the Rocket Hulks? Yeah, just hit the big fuck-off rocket turrets on his shoulders and you are good. I could continue and go on about trivializing the Automatons, by saying, hey! You can kite these guys forever, but let us be honest here, kiting is a retarded thing to do, as you need to kill enemies quickly if you don't want them to bring in more re-enforcements that will simply start overwhelming you, this is true for bots and bugs. And when you deal with a real bug Horde, you'll find yourself out of ammo and out of Stratagems facing off against a entire army with nothing but the F key. Are bots trivial? No? But neither are the bugs and I will not stand for the slander of our brave Helldivers on the Eastern Front who dive and die so that you Creek Crawlers can have the fuel you need to focus on the wrong planet while planets ij the next sector are being overrun and attacked by bots.
@@imaran1303 Yah, still doesn't change the fact that bugs are orders of magnitude easier to deal with compared with bots. Yah sure you can "run away from a tank" but you cannot kite a tank. Kiting means to stay out of the enemies range and that is just not possible on an objective when you can't just leave. The tank is just gonna shoot you unless you are hugging it. Yes its better if you just killed everything fast, but after the 10th tank/bile titan you will run out of stratagems. At that point you need to run them in loops while progressing the objective, something you can't do vs tanks. "You need to bring railgun" ok, just bring a rail gun then crushers are easy. The railgun is the better weapon vs bots anyways since it can oneshot hulks from the front. 20 shots are enough unless you are a stormtrooper too. Reloading an autocannon is ass anyways and I would rather have a shield. While a couple rocket bots are fairly easy to deal with, they appear in quantity and force you to pick them off in cover. It dramatically slows the completion speed of objectives which means more drop ships and more bots. While most of the bots are lethal and have to actively be dealt with, you can leave many of the bugs alone. Their awful pathing often makes them a total non-threat. It doesn't matter if the bug breach spawns a horde too large for you to kill because you can just run them in a circle.
@11zhaov1 You can 100% kite a tank, even better, you can still kill a tank relatively safely as a low level as long as you have a battle buddy willing to draw fire. Add to that tanks are insanely slow, like holy shit slow (like 99% of bots) all you gotta do is sneak up behind the tank, which is the safest point of the entire fucking think, same with towers, and shoot at the big glowy thing. Sure, you can do that with a Bile Titan first, but a Bile Titan can still eat a lot of bullets to its soft underbelly which puts you right underneath the thing, I.E. the most dangerous spot. Next, a single orbital railcannon and a single orbital laser is enough to take out a tank and a outpost (including a turret tower) each. Whereas a Bile Titan can eat a single railcannon and still keep going. And a bug Hive is so spread out that your orbital laser will kill like 20 bugs and barely will have put a dent in their numbers. Next up: you can stop a bot from signaling re-enforcements, it will only count as called the moment he fires the flare in the air, while the tell for a bug about to signal a breach is far more subtle and immediately starts even if you kill it before it spews its pheromones into the air. Next, bots are far less numerous, meaning, playing stealth is a viable option. If you Creek Crawlers would stop shooting at everything that moves and use actual sneak tactics, the bots would be trivial, whereas bugs are so numerous that sneaking is difficult as shit. Next! You can actually destroy a drop ship and as such stop the re-enforcements before they even arrive, just use disposable anti-tank launchers or the recoilless rifle to take them down, whereas bug breaches will not stop spawning bugs until the timer runs out. I can keep going if you want to. You wanna trivialize the Eastern Front? Fine, I will trivialize you creek crawlers. Next, fancy energy shield you have, too bad it is only useful in Bot missions as there are like only 2 or 3 bug types that use ranged attacks that the shield actively blocks. Next, funny, your trees speak Binary? Then just blast the trees, ain't the same when the very air starts chattering in bug. Next, a railgun may be viable against bots due to their smaller number, but against bugs? You may as well be shooting a slingshot into the rain trying to destroy every raindrop. Impossible.

@@imaran1303Been fighting on both fronts. On difficulty 7 I sometimes go through bug missions without dying once. Bile Titans are a joke vs railguns. Chargers are okay as long as they dont teleport. But the Creek... Rocket barrages, sniper turrets, jetpack jihad, drop ships with a whole tank platoon.... all these one shot you before you can react. I hear reinforcement budget depleted on the Creek more often than I yell reinforcing on Veld. Eastern Front is just the post-Nam tour rehab for my squad.
@@m.s.cheung8471 Then you just shoot at anything that moves, you try to use bug tactics versus bots, and that just ain't gonna work. YOU have to be the Vietvong in Space 'nam. Because the bots are the Americans, overwhelming firepower that will annihalate you if you try to bash your skulls against their front-lines. Only engage small patrolls when you are 100% certain you can destroy all the terminators before they can call for re-enforcements, take along rocket-pods, space laser, railgun and a shield pack. I waited in the jungles and used my orbital lasers to destroy any heavily defended objective or side-objective without ever leaving the safety of the jungles. When I gotta deal with a tank, I drop the rocket pods on them which one shots them. Turrets are easy if you don't run in swinging your arms like a suicidal lemming, sneak up on the back of the tower, shoot at the back of it with your railgun, you can get four shots in before the turret turns to you, and you only need... 2 or 3 to destroy it. Hulks, Devestators, AT-STs and Berserkers only require one shot of your railgun to take down. If you let yourself get sorounded, and let them call for help, that is your fault. You can easily spot when a bot is about to signal and can stop him from doing so, a bug is more subtle, also, if you have a buddy that specializes in anti-tank, you can shoot down their transport ships, destroying whatever they are trainsporting. Bug Breaches cannot be similarily interrupted. And one railcannon is not enough for a bile titan, and the bile titan isn't even the most dangerous, that honor goes to the chargers and stalkers. The trees talk binary? Burn the trees. It is far more intimidating when the air starts chattering in bug.

Don't worry, once you get to higher difficulties with better gear, Automatons cap off pretty early. The bugs however? They become hell on Super Earth. They never stop coming. Then when you think you're safe? 4 Bile Titans.
4 Bile Titans = 12 Recoilless Rifle shots = 2 Recoilless stratagems. If everyone is on the same page, it should take around 10 seconds to wipe them out, while each shot makes them recoil. @@randomguyoninternet8979 Not sure what sort of shotgun YOU are using, but Bile Titans ain't that easy, and when you realize that focusing only on bile titans will have you quickly sorounded by crushers, stalkers and brood nursers. You will need to take along the anti-tank and pray to sweet liberty that it is going to be enough for all the armored opponents you will be dealing with. The Bile Titans as the main threat are kinda a noob trap. Yes they are dangerous and tanky but ultimately easy to avoid. You just sprint and they can't do anything to you. The real threat are hunters and chargers. Stalkers when they turn up.
@XMysticHerox At least you don't try to downplay the terror of the Terminids like some other people. Honestly, them Creek Crawlers are being dramatic. I took on a level 8 ICBM mission and did 2 of the 4 steps solo, sneaking through the Jungles like some expert Vietcong. Whenever I was met with a tank, I would drop Rocket pods on it, smaller bases I quickly run in, overwhelm with my breaker and destroy with a grenade, then run out while my shield protects me from most of their fire. And when I gotta deal with hulks, one shot to the dome with a railgun in safemode is enough., when dealing with side-objectives, which I dealt with 2 of them, a AA post and the eye of sauron, the first I destroy with my railgun, the second, I take out by running in, planting a hellbomb while taking cover, activate it and allow the hellbomb to destroy whatever enemy I pulled. For the large outpost, I throw in a orbital laser and let that take it all out and then continue on with my sneaky completion of main tasks. Trick is to destroy the smaller bots on outposts firsts so they won't call in drop ships. The 8 star mission was a breeze compared to the 7 star mission I did on Hellmire. Where chargers require like 4 shots to take down, compared to a Hulk that requires one with a railgun. And when you got only 20 shots on it, every shot counts. Problem with bugs is also that the tell for when a bug starts calling a breach is very subtle compared to a bot. And once the bug becomes obvious, it is already too late, the breach has been called. People keep saying how the trees speak Binary, nah! The bots are speaking about how the trees speak in freedom. But when the air starts chittering in bug, that is when even I, a Creek Veteran, start getting terrified.

Idk. Dealing with automatons always felt easier than terminids. Bots call in single spot, and with proper team working together its just a matter of directing fire... Terminids on the other hand people get careless. Armored enemies forcing you to backtrack, stalkers circling around disrupting flow and more likely to suffer from friendly fire.

Impossible.

@@Diabaddus it matches the aesthetic though but I do agree. Nam was fucked for multiple reasons. One being the fact we shouldn't have even been involved. 4 Bile Titans = 12 Recoilless Rifle shots = 2 Recoilless stratagems. If everyone is on the same page, it should take around 10 seconds to wipe them out, while each shot makes them recoil. You will need to take along the anti-tank and pray to sweet liberty that it is going to be enough for all the armored opponents you will be dealing with.
Not to say the Bots are easier, no, when the trees start speaking binary and your entire screen is lit up by laser fire and you see berserkers running up in Squads on your position is terrifying, but don't try to belittle or trivialize the work the eastern front demands.

“I’ve been at the creek so long, I’ve started to remember it better then my then my own family”
7 Month retrospective: I have killed tens of thousands. Both Bugs and Bots alike. Hunters have screamed as theyve been shredded in a hail of bullets. Devastators have creaked and groaned as they were turned to molten slag. I have lived across many worlds and died on all of them. The lessons of Super Earth... Are so... Beautiful...
10/10 Would dive again
Fighting bugs: It's like the star ship troopers movie!
fighting the robots: It's like the star ship troopers novel...
(for context: in the novel, the arachnids are described Moreso as 6 limber creatures capable of using vehicles and tools, and weaponry, and one of their weapons is basically a beam pistol that can tear right through your armour and practically kill you instantly if it's a direct hit. The Star Ship troopers anime made by Bandai follows the instant death beam trend but less on the arachnids design)
As a cadet, you enjoy shredding space bugs.
As a skull admiral, you start preferring the robots because you'll quickly get sick of being completely reliant on airstrikes and orbitals to deal with the 15th charger onslaught coming at you.
Was just talking about this with my brother. Low level bugs are a great intro. High level bots top out on difficulty. High level bugs.... 5 chargers and 4 titans all at once make for a rough time
Why would you need orbitals to deal with Chargers? Complete waste.
@@XMysticHerox
Cause they eat bullets just as well as the titans, amd they usually come in packs of 6 from suicide mission onwards so u cant just calmly take out their legs with a railgun.
@@Darksteelflame No need to be calm about it. Two quick shots with the railgun as it comes at you and that charger is dead.
At higher difficulties wasting orbitals is idiotic precisely because there are so many of them. If you have to rely on orbitals to kill them you will likely loose. Those are for titans and horde clear.
@@XMysticHeroxno more. Railgun nerfed
The accuracy hurts lol. Wonderful stuff, my friend.
"Oh man that was so fun squishing bugs, I wonder how the automaton are"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH"
Terminid front: quite literally a walk in the park
Automaton front: THE TREES ARE SPEAKING CHATGPT! CLANKERS ARE IN THE TREES! *Paint it Black and Fortune Son intensifies*
How true this is 😂😂😂, make this a series its to good 👍
As a vet of botnam I can confirm this. Those tin heads aren’t fucking around.
My first game on Helldivers 2 was on the automatons. I decided to go to an automaton objective to see what they do. Alone.
Needless to say, I started running for my survival to complete the main goal. And after realizing the goal needed two people, I essentially evacuated myself outta there.
I soloed them as my first feeler as well and didn't realize how much time I'd spend running away. Once those machine gun nests opened up in the fog, you keep your head down and rethink your decisions.
Just bought the game 4 days ago. Spent the last four days just killing bugs but today if I wanted them cheeky medals, I had to go destroy some Automatons.
This video is a prime example of how my first ever time went. I’ll pass on that reward until I get a hang of the game, lmao
Fighting bugs make you feel like a warrior
Fighting automatons make you feel like a bug
and by extension, killing teammates in automatons makes you feel like a warrior killing bugs :trole:
Me and the boys playing Malevelon as early game as possible with the motivation of "We will avenge those who fell at Malevelon."
Meanwhile the reverse:
WHY ARE THERE SO MANY OF THEM
THE BODIES ARE ENDLESSS
Wait until you experience the wrath of 5 chargers rushing at you, followed by 2 bile titans
"Hoorah" famous last words of Sargent Laurence
The loop is so smooth
“They’re shelling us”
-Guy from half life 2.
As a diver that only fights automotons, I cannot confirm the accuracy but the bots are a serious challenge.
Ultra Marines be like:
Rookie numbers
For the emperor!!!!
Yep, i had some friends join me. My first time playing and someone goes "lets fight the automatons we won't have issues". Fighting the robots is actual hell
the exact opposite for our group lol, we spent so long fighting the bots that we can handle difficulty 7 missions easily, but going back to the bugs we get stomped at difficulty 5-6 XD
The loop of this video is absolutely perfect 😂
This is literally the perfect example of helldivers rn 😂😂😂
Divers killing bugs: FREEDOM 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅
Divers trying to kill bots: THERE IN THE TREEES
I remember my first ever match was against the bots while trying to rescue civilians. Easiest difficulty and holy cow. It's like fighting the CIS as a Cline Trooper but you're in one of their factories and it just keeps spewing bots out. Been a bot player ever since because it was so damn fun.
BRO THIS IS LITERALLY DEEP ROCK GALACTIC. ROOOOCK AAAAAND STOOOOOOOOOOOOONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FOR KARL!
DID I HEAR A ROCK AND STONE?!?
Robots are easier at higher difficulties. They get bigger and slower
The bug where 40 min of enemies spawn in 15 min would like to ask you to be the head of its propaganda agency
@@shaggyshotme1805 That it a 15 minute mission, try that same 15 minute mission while having to close a bunch of bug holes and each nest has a bile titan with a chance to spawn like two more after you dealt with the one.
Do not trivialize the efforts on the eastern front simply because you weren't there. I have been in the thick smog of Hellmire only to just about evacuate while the EZ was being overrun by Chargers, Stalkers and Bile Titans.
I have been to Veld, with the mission to hold off the bugs and slaughter them like vermin, only to have our position overrun by heavily armored bugs that either spit acid at you or charge right at you and shrug off everything but the highest of calibers.
I have fought on Malevalon Creek as well as Mort, and believe me, I am not undermining the brave work that our soldiers on the Western Front are doing, remember, without us on the Eastern Front, you would run out of fuel within the day. Respect your fellow Helldivers.
@@imaran1303 why is a super citizen trying to to steal the honor of helldivers? Also why are trying to one up someone who said a joke about a bug in the game? And why should I care for their story as they clearly think they are better even though we never met and will never meet each other. So to your comment good sir go fight for democracy and stop complaining about WO IS ME and then maybe just maybe people will listen to your stories. If you wish to continue this just know you are wasting both my time and your own instead of fighting for democracy
@shaggyshotme1805 Our education has failed us if you are unable to read. I never tried to one-up anyone, nor that I belittle the brave soldiers fighting on the western front.
I even said so in my previous comments. All I said is that bugs aren't as easy as people claim they are, simply because the last bug mission they did was a 3 star one back at the start of the game.
I am saying that the Western Front should stop shitting on the Eastern Front because both sides are fighting for Super Earth against the enemies of Freedom and we should respect each other.
@@imaran1303 first: learn what shit talking is.
Second: you tried to one up by saying you fought at this place and that place.
Third: I never mentioned or shit on the bug front I was talking about a gameplay glitch related to the timer aka a BUG.
Fourth: you act like you are in the right but you go after people who are making jokes at the expense of no one.
Fifth: learn what a joke is
Sixth: you sound like that someone who will go up and tell the guy who got shot in the leg and is cursing bc of the pain to stop cursing and not paying any attention to the injury the person has.
Seventh: take this comment how ever you want as any comment arguing against this just proves my point of people trying to start an argument where it’s is not needed and not welcomed
Now you have to do one for the Illuminate!
Terminids: big bad bugd
Automatons: AAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The sheer terror of playing automatons levels after getting randomly blown off by laser cannons will never fully go away
for me, bugs are harder due to the fact that the heavily armored bugs are much harder to take out, and there are so many more bugs than automatons. i can easily wipe out tons of bots, but a single charger and unless i have a ful autocannon mag and i have time to switch from FLAK to APHET, i'm dead.
Now time to update for the Illuminate
It isn’t scary until the enemies start shooting back.
