Great episode, my eyes lit up when I saw the Leffe and in pint format!. Be careful on those cliff like walks, we know. As you say, that stories for a fire pit chat if we ever venture on a meet.
Hi mate great recovery from saying you like to go away on your own but really enjoy going away with the family, shall I get you a shovel so you can dig yourself a hole lol. I agree it great to go solo sometimes and unwind looks like a great camp site.👍
Was going to say the same thing. If there's one positive thing from all this virus sh@t, it's appreciating nature instead of taking it for granted as we may have done in the past. Great video. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Luv the van, since we are locked down in Victoria BC Canada, and not traveling around the UK in our Sprinter camper (now idle in my son's driveway in Leeds) we will live vicariously through your journeys. Stay safe, great vlog. Cheers!
Think I'll try that site too! Very basic but sometimes that's what you need. I'm a lover of music but I do agree, sometimes nature is the most amazing thing to listen too.

Have read any comments below so apologies if this comedy gold has been mentioned already 😜 How do you use your solar panel to re-charge your battery over night? 👀😳😮 Love catching up on your vlogs! Still have a few yet to watch Please show from start to finish how you use your Aeropress - once I pour water into it I have to place the plunger at the top quickly otherwise the water drips through quickly lol Also, where did you buy your small axe? How do you make chopping the logs look so easy?!! lol
It looked a nice place to camp. I prefer to park up and sleep in quiet, but free places all over the region. I also tend to steer clear of the well-trodden paths and routes, so prefer to just pick a mountain and trek straight up it. I find that way, I'm probably one of the first to be up there in years, and always have the whole high regions to myself. Your walk looked devoid of others and the tarns on top just shouted out for images. Maybe I'll try that area for some days. I hate campsites, but at least that one you were in was fairly empty ( probably mad in summer though!🙂). I was waiting for that smoking van to blow up or turn into a blazing inferno! 😂
Haha I totally agree, it's why I go during the week, zero tourists in tracksuits and trainers 🤣🤣! It's bliss.... just a few likeminded folk on the fells. I got loads of pics of the tarns and even went back again this week to get some shots of the snow. Loved it! It's super busy during summer so get there now before it turns in to butlins!
Have you thought about a cheap awning ? Until I get a proper one with my conversion, I have been using two heavy suction cups with eyes on them attached to the roof on one side at either end with ' s ' attachments on them, connected to the eyelets of a 3m x 3m clear plastic tarpauline and at the other side attached to two collapsible 2m tentpoles with guy ropes attached to the spikes at the top as well as the eyelets, then pegged out at the ground. The whole set up was £60 on amazon ( 3 purchase items).
That sounds perfect, I have thought about a cheap one like that, just not 100% sure yet as we do have our hearts set on a more substantial one in the not too distant future....
Hi, I am halfway through my first campervan conversion. After watching your video and am so looking forward to all future camping experiences. Ps - Can you please tell me the name of the tunes you used in your video. Cheers
Loving the vids, thank you. Just back from my first ‘test trip’ in Vinny, my new van. Greencarts Farm near Hexham in Northumberland. I’ve pretty much bought everything you’ve recommended in your ‘unboxing vids’. That Ridgemonkey thing is awesome hey. Toasties for breakfast, lunch and dinner :-) I know many of us buy our vans to disconnect from our busy lives, but did you manage to get any 4G data up at Seathwaite Farm?
Oven bottom muffins, and Panini - I must remember those hand gestures, adds a whole new dimension to life - I might chase the Mrs around later this tonight asking which one she prefers. If I offered any photographic advice. Please buy a wrist strap, I was waiting for the "I dropped my camera moment", all of my gear has decent wrist straps on them - that way I can stroll up a mountain, but if I slip the camera is still attached to me. Rock'N'Roll have nice straps, your good lady might confiscate the credit card to stop you buying one, but trust me thy are worth it.
Thanks for the advice bud. I don't use them (I should) because when I'm working professionally (weddings etc) I tend to find straps restrictive, but I do agree that when I'm out walking that I need something. I have found a bag strap that will hold it while I'm walking so I have use of both hands too. Should be a good addition! If not, you're right, I'll get a wrist strap or similar!
@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures A wrist strap is not restrictive as the camera is there for you, attached to your favoured hand. So well worth the investment to save dropping the things. I nearly wrote get a strap on. hmmmm 🤔

Unfortunately the fire is completely against the Lake District National Park Authority regulations. No open fires. May I suggest you read the regs? Fines can (and often are) issued for breaches of the regs.
Don't worry mate, its ok as it was off the ground and on a private campsite. Most campsites n the lakes allow fires as long as they are off the ground! Have a lovely day buddy!
I haven't got a diesel heater but wanted something for my van that was quiet on campsites and safe to leave on ( not gas etc. ) To this end i have just bought a small 600 watt oil filled electric radiator for hooking up to the camp site mains, no tick or fan noise at all and cheap at £60.
No worries buddy.... Im not 100% sure, I have 1inch markers on the bottle and when it's full it's 5 inch of fuel. I used about an inch 🤣🤣! Full technical that is 🤣🤣

Seathwaite is the wettest place (officially) in the UK so take waterproofs 🤣🤣
I am getting my fiat talento lwb fully converted to a pop top etc in a similar layout to yours. I noticed that you never went for the underlung water tanks, do you wish you had, how much extra roughly would they cost and with your experience and probably with a mostly camping site use case, do you think that what you have got is perfectly adequate and would the underslung tanks be a waste of money ?
Hiya Steve, I'll be honest I have thought about an underslung waste water but we find that the two small tubs in the van work perfectly for us. Not sure they'd be a waste of money, I think you have to figure out what will work for you best, we may even get an underslung tank at some point but it will be a decision made on whether we need it etc
@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures i suppose I could get the conversion with the small containers like yours and just suck it and see. I could get further work done later if needed. There is the additional problem with the underslung tanks of frost damage if you forget as well ?
