- LAKE DISTRICT VANLIFE | Can you wild camp in he Lake District?! Join us this week as we head into the Lake District and attempt to find THE BEST CAMPING SPOTS!
We also get battered in big Bez by storm Otto and end up having to cut our journey in the Lake District a little shorter than planned…
We are BACK! After 4 months upgrading big Bez and working hard saving up our pennies for a 9 month adventure WE HAVE HIT THE ROAD AGAIN! We plan to start in the Peak District, then head to Lake District BEFORE TRAVELLING UP TO SCOTLAND AND COMPLETING THE NC500…THEN DOWN TO CORNWALL FOR ANOTHER SUMMER
BUT are we even going to make it to SCOTLAND?

We were in our van during storm Otto but on the north east coast, it was very noisy and the sandstorm on the beach was amazing, but not as scary at night as you had it!
Gutted I missed you guys, the lakes is only an hour away from where I live..would have been great to say hello...

Just park where ever and if someone says anything just say oh no we’re not staying we’re just stopping by as driving through the night 🤷♂️ but inside think “f*ck off*. It’s what I did last year and honestly had no issues. But the example I mentioned would have been exactly what I was prepared to do 😂 it’s a joke we pay so much tax, road tax, council tax, breathe air tax, you’d think you can park wherever you want but nope
No over night parking for van lifers so wrong you spend money in the local community. Most take there rubbish and others that are not fit to live this life . The uk need to do what Europe does and set up proper parking spaces for off grid camping, with a small fee for dumping toilet waste and fresh water . I'm buying a motorhome in 2 or 3 years I'm retiring at 60 and will tour the uk and spend my money locally where I can park ..
Yes we totally agree! We need more places for motorhome services. There’s not many in the uk!
Nope, wild camping in the Lake District is illegal, and has been for decades.
