Just thinking Mark. Do you do everything in LR and do "Detail" before going to PS to get rid of unwanted foliage???
Hi Carol, yes I’ll do the complete edit including details before going into photoshop if I am only going to do clean up work in PS after.
Thanks Mark. Will have to watch again. As usual I am still struggling with the "Blues"....... just dont seem to get it right.
Make sure to adjust the amount of blue saturation as well as the balance slider to tweak it
I think thats my problem ..will check. @@MarkDumbleton
Thanks for sharing !
Thanks for watching 😊
Excellent. I'll have a look at my recent lion shots from Botswana with your advice in mind.
Thanks so much. Botswana, that sounds amazing! Where did you visit?
Chobe, Moremi, Mababe and Savuti.
Wow that’s a beautiful area! I hope you got some amazing shots!
Hey Mark, good complementary, clean, and subtle editing. GG.
Tip (for your viewers) When cropping, also evaluat the crop by rotating the image CTRL+ [ or ] (CMD on Mac) in LR.
This is a technique learnt in fine art; Its purpose is to show imbalances (whether that is composition, colour, tonality or subject) that may not be evident in the output view. Get into the habbit of evaluating your composition by, as Mark did, changing your zoom, rotating, standing back from the screen, put yourself in the "audiences" perspective. "Our" images are personal to us so we often forget to think about the audience and their subjective participation as a viewer.
Thanks so much for the comment and thanks for watching. Also, thanks for the tip, that is very helpful.
Excellent Mark - looking forward to the follow up PS edit where you deal with the twigs.
Thanks so much! Hope to have that video done this week for release this Sunday 😊
Very nice and clearly achieves your own personal style as I have seen in many other of your videos.
Thanks for watching, and for sharing your thoughts Philip.
Really great tutorial Mark and superb picture 👍
I really appreciate that @joejames4231 - thank you for watching!
Love that you’re in Kruger as you record this!!
Thanks so much! I recorded it at night, beautiful sounds of the bush around, Scops Owls, Crickets, pity no close Lions for the recording 😊
Your tutorials are one of the best. keep going😊
I really appreciate that, plenty more to come!
Great edit Mark. Thanks for sharing.
