I convinced mysel that I was a terrible baker for years, but I tried my grandma’s recipe for pound cake and found that if I can just follow instructions, then I’m pretty much set up for success. The problem is that I’m a southern cook and we measure with out hearts. You can’t do that in baking. Baking is chemistry. I’m much more comfortable knowing that.

Hoping to get my courage up to pull the trigger on my own channel 🤞🏾 You need one more ingredient to make homemade powdered sugar: cornstarch. That's why it clumps. 😊 Your icing would've been the perfect place to add that vanilla extract! 🥰 The crumb on your cake was BEAUTIFUL. I feel like I can smell it as I'm watching!
Beautiful cake, absolutely love that pound cake pan, perfect for 4 cup recipe, my mom bounced the pan two or three times on the counter to remove excess air before baking. Thanks for the recipe.

Is there a reason you used the whisk attachment instead of the paddle attachment?
The paddle should've been used. It would've saved her having to scrape out the whisk attachment so many times.
