So proud to be part of this group of inspiring musicians. We learn from and encourage each other. Thanks for finding us and bringing us together, maestro Robin!
So heart warming Mark! Robin
Back in the 1960's when the Beatles, the Stones, and the Who , were at their peak of popularity, the only names that guitar players knew were Eric Clapton, and Jimi Hendrix. If you found yourself in conversation with music lovers in those days, and mentioned the name Django Reinhardt, there would be very few people who knew that name, and even fewer who knew his music, despite the fact that he had passed over only ten years previously.
Here we are in 2021, sixty years after the great gypsy guitar genius died, and his music is growing more popular every day, his style of playing is being learned by young kids and grown men and women around the World, and amongst others, we must give special thanks to those teachers who have brought Djangos music into renewed popularity, and none more so than the Gypsy Guitar Guru, Robin Nolan, who has built a community of friends of Django from every continent, from every age group, and from every level of musical ability. Thanks Robin, this upload deserves a place in the Guinness Book of World Records, and if we go on at this rate, the number of players of Djangos' Minor Swing, will be even higher soon. Thanks Robin. Great Work from the team . Congratulations to all the players.
Beautiful words Tony ❤️🎸🙏 Robin

@@bonusfat110 right on!
Excelldnt ❤️
Cheers Rod thanks! Robin
It just occurred to me that someone could've just played the melody of "Besame Mucho" and it pass as a solo for these 8 bars of accompaniment. 😂
Yes that would sound great! Robin
Nice Robin, glad that have you you in our gypsy jazz community!
One question, which program you use to create a video like this? I want to do the same with my band :D
Greetings from Worms, Germany!
Thanks Jakob! I didn’t edit the video but can ask Paul. email me support@robinnolan.com if you like and I’ll find the info. All the best! Robin
Woow ! 29 solos !! Should it not be called mayor swing instead ?!!
Haha yes Major Fun! Robin
Would love to hear how this fits into Vodoo Vince. There's probably a professional here whose work is in Voodoo Vince on Xbox.
Will check it
noticed some similar makes of guitar Robin..can you tell me the name of yours.
I play Polak Gypsy Guitars Mike - the best 🎸❤️Robin
Hi Tom, a few guys and I am playing (upside down, Hendrix-style) a Robin Nolan Signature Polak Petit Bouche. The Polak Swing 42, also represented here, is a Grand Bouche. I love mine, and occasionally it loves me back.
Are the Grand Bouche the ones with the triple X inlays on the 13th fret.
@@tomsidoti5290 Grand Bouche is tve Swing 42 and Petite Bouche is Triple X
😊🎉
Yeah man!

😅 at least less than the likes 🎸❤️Robin
I very much liked the idea for this video and I clicked on it imediately! But then ... I'm afraid it did not really work for me. If you do such a thing you should have at least some of the first league players on board, like Bireli Lagrene, Adrien Moignard, Rosenberg, etc.. Most of the solos were nowhere near the standard of the best in this field. So, if this was meant to be a party of Gypsy Jazz fans, then its perfectly fine, lets have a beer and a nice party and good chats with friends! But if this was meant to be a musical endeavor ... then you have to be very picky with the artists. I guess this was the old thing with matching expactations with deliverables ...
Sorry Veit, but you have missed the point of this endeavour - and to imply that Robin Nolan is not a first league player is doing him an injustice to say the very least. Saying that most of the solos were nowhere near the standard of the best in the field again, an injustice - you don't have to play 8th notes all the time for something to sound good, the essential quality you need is that the solo relates to the melody, to which everyone who took part in this acquitted themselves with honour. You are, of course, perfectly entitled to your opinion, but would respectfully ask that you look at the bigger picture before your judgement that it wasn't a musical endeavour - oh, and expectation has an e after the p, not an a, and endeavour ends in vour, not vor - (Oxford English Dictionary).

Who hurt you?! 🤣
Hi, you are correct Bireli never showed up that day, but then neither did Django ... This is Robin and his students, we all just learning and we are all at different stages in our learning journey. It demonstrates how many very different people, styles, abilities etc. that we have in the club. It was never meant to be full professional quality, we all just students after all. We were just having some fun together, I am so proud to be a member.
