Pushing the limits at Afan Bike Park| Wall trail + Black tracks

- Afan forest is an epic riding venue based in South Wales. From beginner trails to steep Tech with some enduro and xc loops thrown in for good measure.
Afan forest has 2 car parks which both have all the facilities needed including campsites! The camp site next to the 'bike park' has a dual slalom track, skills area and a bikers lodge accommodation.
There are lots of trail centres in wales but this one has a good feel to it leaving to want for nothing more!
If you want to push your skills, Push your fitness to the limits or have a nice steady cruise out on the trails then be sure to check out, in my opinion, some of the best mountain biking trails in the UK.

Good video mate . Afan is probably my favourite trail centre ....trails feel nice and natural without being to manmade and it's a good out there feeling place

Nice work mate, great review as always. Having ridden Afan a couple of times, some epics rides one was 44.91 mi 6,654 ft! Its never been on my favourites list, always feels disconnected, long fire roads and nothing trials to get to the good bits, then repeat. Watching your review it does appear better to ride there in smaller chunks. I'll def go for another trip there as I've now had a couple more years riding experience. The mini bike park looks fun, I rode that couple of years ago but only the blue loop, should be fun now I've stared to get airborne :-)

I went about 8 years ago. It was good then and it seems to have definitely moved with the times 👍

I don't really have any tips tbh other just get out there and give it a go. If i did have one then i'd say get the chamois on and go exploring. If you're into maps etc then download the trail forks app and that can help you get your bearings around an area like this.

Yeah for sure, There is some great sections where you can just maintain your speed by pumping the rollers all the way through! love this place!
Its just convinced me to get an ebike i was looking at the trek rail a month ago and the 9.8 looks good value for money at £6k so I'll be there to hit the wall soon.

I traveled 4 hours to ride here... you live in a great part of the world!
1:46 - that's the top of where we used to take the horses trekking. Nice long trail just behind you we used to have a good group gallop (couldn't really do it elsewhere on the mountain)
Unfortunately, the council really doesn't like horses there and everything has been getting gated off.
I just haven't got the balance or guts to mountain bike. I can only just ride a bike normally (Don't ask why it's better on horseback)
Practise makes perfect! If you can gallop on a horse then riding bike will be a piece of cake!

qfx125 you can’t please everyone....I have started mixing it up in more recent vids with a bit more POV sounds. I think Music adds to a video so it won’t be changing anytime soon. There’s plenty of chest cam laps out there so you won’t struggle to find others
