Hi Tom, I visited this trail park yesterday for the first time with my parter and were blown away how much it had on offer. Even on the green and blue family trails you can still loose at a slow speed it because the scenery is that awesome. Living fairly locally to this is going to be an good dose of excitement when you know you're going to visit the centre again because I felt it ticked a lot of boxes. Thank you and Kara for the videos you've made on this place , they were helpful before visiting .
My local trails, some amazing off piste places up there too, also “Du” as someone else said is just Black in Welsh and is pronounced “Dee” nice to see some big names using the trails though, not quite a bike park, but some really fun lines up there, there’s another visitor centre you pass way before you get to this one, which has got a couple of nice trails too!
Great trails at Afan, when I went years ago the trails were "The Wall" "Skyline" "Whytes levels" and "The Red Bull run" did all of them over a couple of days, Awesome riding.
Hey Tom Cardy! What an awesome adventure day! Those are the type of raw, natural trails I ride here near Vancouver BC Canada! You and Kara Beal should plan a long trip here after things have opened up again! Ride ride ride!
Watched this again cos we're locked in, I'll assume theocal boys you spoke to mentioned the masts trails, if you enjoyed s4 and 6ft under, you'll love the masts. Jim pinned tv done a idiots guide a few weeks ago so I'm not giving any secrets away. 🏴🚴♂️🏴🚴♂️🏴
Just rode w2 on my analogue bike in the recent 36c heatwave. VERY SWEATY! The big long climb up whites level, no shade, 36c, I wished I had an eeb! But its not Black tech, W2 is a black xc route...I.e. black rated for physicality. The 2 trails that join together to make W2 are each individually rated reds...and that's trail centre reds (=bike park blue). Still, its a tough ride with long and technical (in places) climbs.
Them going down a few slabs of concrete on their full suspension e-bikes: Goooorr this is gnarly Me going down an entire rock garden on my 10 year old hardtail: meh kinda bumpy
Really good! Heading to Afan in July and think this could be the Trail to hit! Question though, could it be done and hit another smaller loop after? TIA
Matt Jones, Tom cardy, and Sam pilgrim should take their girlfriends on a tour of the UK and go to as many trails as possible, maybe do some 2 hour builds along the way leave their mark
had a great ride there on hard tails last weekend
Nice!!

Mate you always go to South Wales, why not North Wales?! Yes it's a little further but so much better for biking.
I’m going there on Friday. When are you going home❤️
Du is Black in welsh mate. So the really tough one was just called “Black” in welsh lol

Gooder!
Du means "Black"! I guess syou know that now!
off anotice!.
s4 and 6ft under are some of the easiest black trails in the area, I could show you some proper steep stuff ;) so much off piste :)
Why do you call Kara Kj
Wait why does Tom call Kara KJ? 😂 I’ve always just accepted it.
Her middle name begins with J and J sounds better than B next to K lol
When I go in 2 weeks, I'm supposed to be doing Skyline which is harder than W2 apparently.. Definitely gonna die. 😂
Skyline is a very old XC trail, W2 is much better than sktline
If you like REALLY steep techy stuff dm me, I know a few (in kent) you would like.
Do u ever do those types of trails on your enduro bikes like actually climbing
E-Bikes are *ay
