Fun fact: The moron aliens in Abducted are reused characters from Jhonen's earlier work. They show up in a "Meanwhile" story that was a side-comic in issues of JTHM and Squee, and then they make a couple of appearances in Squee where they abduct him and his parents on separate occasions
Actually, the reason Dib and Gaz are more tan in the movie is because they’re canonically Latino! Jhonen Vasquez said so years ago. Plenty of Latino people have white skin, but my guess is they made it slightly tanner so that it’s a bit easier to tell without making them very brown.
Probably was one of the most infamous examples of how Nickelodeon treated a franchise. They wanted a show for tweens and got upset that only the tween and up demographic consumed it.
One of the more fascinating pieces of production lore I'm surprised you didn't mention is "bloody GIR". Essentially (going off memory) to push back against all the complaints of violence from executives, the staff started hiding images of GIR covered in blood in really obscure spots throughout the later episodes of season 1 and most of season 2 I believe. By obscure, I mean he would appear for one frame in a small corner at like 20% transparency. There's only one or two episodes where it's obvious enough you can likely find it watching on cable (if you know where to look ofc), the first appearance having him take up nearly the entire screen during the theme song intro (although again very transparent and for one frame). All the other ones you basically need to have a frame by frame dvd player and know where to look. I've never been that into the show but this piece of information always fascinated me
Eric Trueheart said that the IZ movie “Invader Dib” was non canon. It was most likely just a joke by Jhonen Vasquez. I wonder what would have happened if Jhonen decided to make this joke a canon episode.
I myself am a massive fan of Zim. When it was canceled half way for shows that make golf look extreme, I felt a part of me died and I haven't been the same in years. I would do anything to see the unmade episodes more then anything, so I will never lose hope. If Futurama can get two returns, who knows what might happen.
Leaving this comment here for engagement. I've been a fan of the show for a few years, but only recently watched the whole thing. I've seen a few episodes and the movie and thought it's good, but I had to watch the whole thing eventually, and I don't regret it. I really enjoyed the cynical tone and the somewhat accurate portrayal of humanity.
Did you know the The voice of miss butters did the very first TV cartoon. It was called crusader rabbit it was created by J Ward Who will go on to create Rocky and Bullwinkle
18:22 I will hunt you down and I will not rest until you realise your mistake. Inferno is one of the best Doctor Who stories of all time, and you need to understand this.

Harvey Beaks:Nickelodeon Really Bad treated me.
Invader Zim:Welcome to Club,Buddy.
I know that Nickelodeon has treated thier animated shows badly lately, but hopefully the 2022 Rugrats won't go down that path, it's really good!
