  • There are so many BMW enthusiasts throughout the world, and I believe many of them will agree with my opinions on why I love BMW. Within the BMW community there are various types of enthusiasts: the purists, tuners, track junkies, modders, OEM+, and so many in between. I hope this community continues to expand and inspire generations to come!

The RUclips algorithm hid your channel from my top channels. So here I am catching up to your videos. Gotta say I remember watching your videos because I had purchased a silver 99 e46 328i. Soon as I saw that car I was in love with it. And it looked pretty outside but had been neglected in the maintenance department I had to do so many things to that car. Sometimes you would upload a video and I would remember exactly which bolt was next since I had done the same thing very recently to mine. The e46 forums were of huge help back in 2014 when I worked on that car. Then I found out about a unicorn in the wild known as the ZHP. Found one non running but great price, brought her home on a 5 hour drive and brought it back from the dead. Now it lives in my garage well kept and in great mechanical shape ready to hit the road at a moments notice. I too love the BMW e46 chassis.

Bro I've been following you for years now and you've helped me so much. I went from an amateur with cars to being extremely confident in my ability to do major work on my car. I bought an E81 BMW now and the online support for it is nowhere near the level of support that the E46 has - but because you've taught me so much , I'm able to confidently work on the E81 without needing support. Most BMW engines and suspension follow very similar design patterns which makes the skills you teach on the E46 transferable on to other models. My dream car would be to get an F30, I'm just reluctant to get it because I have a feeling it might be more tricky because of the turbo and maybe a bit more unreliable as a result. Love your videos bro , thank you so much for all your contributions to the BMW community!

I personally learned only when my timing chain went and it was too expensive (not worth the price of the car) to get it replaced by a garage. Hence, after disassembling the entire engine (N47 so timing chain was in the back), changing the chain and getting to work again I felt a sense of accomplishment. Since then, I've almost done everything myself and am continuously learning new skills such as welding :) So yes I defo agree, BMW's, especially the E46/E8x and E9x are the perfect platform to begin with.

I have an '01 330Ci. It's the closest thing to my dream car - the E46 M3 - and even though a local mechanic called it a lost cause, I'm still working on it. No matter the issue, there's always something out there that can help you out.

yeah man! I bought a one owner 2005 x3 90000 miles, closing in on 100k, and it is just so much fun, sometimes I think Im going to ruin the car or worry about making a mistake doing my own DIY servicing. Then I think, screw it, and I take the leap for the first time. It was only 5 thousand bucks so the skills/ pride I get from working on it, thanks to videos like yours, make it feel like the best purchase Ive ever made.

I want to take a second to thank you, as many years ago, when you were in NC I believe it was, you were my go to guy as I was learning how to work on my E46. I’ve always been into cars tbh but I didn’t really start getting my hands too dirty until I bought an e36. Never liked bmw’s before that and since than I haven’t gone back either haha. Now I’m onto an e46 coupe and think I might actually consider keeping this thing for the long haul 😌😂. Shit after a cooling system overhaul, valve cover job, and oil filter housing gasket done this things good for another 100k no worries lol. Keep up the good work dude and we’re happy to all be a part of this awesome community with you!
