Nothing better than seeing your snake thrive in an upgraded enclosure! I just rescued a boa and moved her from a 20 gallon to a 4 foot enclosure! She roams around all over and it makes me so happy. Great work! Love the snake background 😍

Those enclosures are gorgeous. Currently I only have one 4 mo. old corn in a 10 gal but I've been looking at different options to expand my hobby in the future :) Thanks for sharing and great work with your decor :D
this is so gorgeous i love the natural substrates i’ve wanted to do that but have had concerns over my corn snake becoming impacted. i’d love to see an updated corn snake care video from you!!

Do corn snakes bury them selves for belly heat? I use a che and uth together but I want to stack my enclosures but I won't be able to use a che on the warm side.

Do you know any links or know yourself of live plants that are safe for blue tongue skinks? I wanna try and house my northern with live plants when I get his new enclosure. PS the background looks great, youre just overthinking 🤪💖

I have a question if chameleons need water dishes because I have heard people say that they drink only from the mister that goes on the plants and not from water dishes?
That is true! They need to see movement and stagnant water bowls don’t catch their eye. It’s more natural for them to hydrated themselves off of water droplets on leaves like they do in the wild! 💕
Do you know if I can put millipedes in my bio active tank with my snakes?

WHAT? How did you do this? I worked with the Gap expanding foam and I never quite get it right, I also get it on myself, but that's another story.
WOW, you did a fantastic job and it might be an idea for a design Zen Habitats could use. "Tricia's Elegant Exotic Premium Backgrounds", with the long name you can make it very expensive.
Honestly, with these kinds of projects, you don't know how it will look until you actually do it and each project gets better as you create and modify.
I still think it's beautiful.

Thank you! I can clean around the snake or take the plants out to clean them. Luckily he won’t poop on the background, so it should be safe.

Have you had any problems with your snake escaping? I have a female ball python and want to get a 4x2x2 by Zen habitats in December but I'm scared she escapes!
What beach do you go to when getting the driftwood?

It looks so cool! Maybe the rocks could have been a lot bigger, more climbing opportunities ...maybe that's why it looked off to you but I love the colors.
That’s definitely it. They were just so small. But he actually uses those little things to climb on, so it was worth it 😂

I have been considering getting a Zen Habitat enclosure for my snake. But I am concerned about the metal screen. My snake nose rubs during breeding season (even though I don't breed her). The exotera cage I have her in doesn't her nose. I think it is because the screen has some give to it.
What is your opinion on Zen Habitat's screen? Do you think it would grate the scales and skin of nose rubbers?
I think for that case it would be safer to get a taller zen habitat that way the screen will be out of reach! What kind of snake is it for?
@@reptiliangarden Kenyan Sand Boa. I refer to her as my amazing arborial Sand Boa, because she loves to climb. I have two, the other (her sister) never climbs.
I keep her with only low climbing branches on purpose, because she will fall off of them in her sleep.
The enclosure looks awesome! Is it bioactive or just naturalistic? I'd love to make a bioactive corn snake enclosure, but not sure how that would work considering the lower humidity requirements for corns vs higher humidity for the bioactive "bugs".
Thank you! It’s not bioactive. I am planning to do some research and get some dry species of isopods to potentially add to it. I’m used to the higher humidity clean up crews 😅

I would expect him to be bigger that that age. Try feeding him some more insects along its Pangea. That protein will help him grow! Also remember to use supplementation of calcium with d3 and multivitamins. And thank you!!!
Also I noticed your bedroom is down the hall from the reptile room doesn’t get really hot in there? Like in the bedroom and stuff
They’re connected! We have the air conditioning on, so it’s always a comfortable room temperature 💕
Reptilian Garden Lucky my two lizards share my bedroom and it pretty much always gets hot in there and we haven’t installed an air conditioning or a fan yet

Theyre actually very light weight!!! It’s one of the reasons I love them so much because moving can be so much work. 😅

I think I know what is missing in the background for you to be happy. Maybe doing the background completelly with one type of substrate and the snake with other for perspective. But it is a pretty cool idea, I am thinking about making a background for my LG and I will definitelly steal your idea :P
Also, did you know corn snakes indeed use UVB for vitamin D production ("Effects of ultraviolet radiation on plasma
25-hydroxyvitamin D3 concentrations in corn snakes (Elaphe guttata)" by Acierno,M et all, 2008 - the concentrations of vitD in the blood of individuals that had access to UV are 3 and a half times bigger than individuals that don't)? Corn Snakes are even in Ferguson Zone 2 - partial sun and occasional basker. And bone analisys are currently being made by an Illinois vet to determine how much not having uv can affect the snake and the forecasted results are not being so satisfactory for the snakes that did not have uv access. Of course their MBD is not as serious as in lizards, but the science does not lie

Samantha Thompson the fertilizer can be toxic for your animals, so it’s best to remove it from the roots. It’s also a good idea just to rinse your plants off first before putting them in

Because I wanted to try something totally new and create more of a focal point. It was way more work, but doing this allows my corn snake more climbing opportunity and enrichment, so it was worth the effort! 💕
Ummm wood verses dampened dirt, coconut fiber, ect, or high humidity yikessss....
Yote Hunter The dappened dirt is only for the plants. The rest of the enclosure is dry and at the appropriate humidity level. 😅
@@reptiliangarden your missing the point I was making, but maybe you dunno what happens to wood when it gets wet, or moisture even... it will warp, swell, bend, twist, rot... And bacteria, fungi, mold, an mildew, just loves wet wood, it'll be wonderful fir the heath of the animals 🙄... doubt itll be so funny then...
