I don't know if I'm going crazy or not, but I swear they uploaded a full cut of the happy song, with no transition to their actual song for a while, and then took it down and uploaded this one in its place. The title even says "reupload".

Impressive how the guy on the right whose name I couldn't understand catched the detail with the drummer looking after the mom with her child. That kinda solved the riddle regarding what the song is about. Most reaction channels aren't able to look that closely. Also its adorable to see people going through the process of getting to know Maximum the hormone, who hardly ever fail to troll their fans \o/

I also recommend you try the band DOLL$BOXX for some more fun jrock, they're a hard to categorise band but it's sort of a mix of rock, metal, electro and pop with some seriously funky bass. Their track Take My Chance is a great starting point.

The dead giveaway that the first part of the song was fake (other than the obvious complete tonal shift even for them) is Ue singing (the bassist). At most he'll do chorus and backing vocals, but never solo parts like you saw here.
There are countless numbers of bands in Japanese mainstream that sound exactly like they did in their fake song. They did that whole act just to insult them.
