The video shows the normal path of a band... first live in an industrial ruin, then a video with great CGI effects to end up being a commercial pop punk band. I love the humor of MtH🤘
Oops. I think we broke him. Maybe I shouldn't have recommended this particular song until a little further down the road. Naaah, It's what MtH do in most songs, most of time, anyway. 'Yoshu Fukushu' is one of my favorites. Since your brain's already mush, give it a shot.
One of this band's live gigs is the only time I've been injured at a show. Well worth the personal risk though. Like Seikima, this band gets covered often by other Japanese bands.
@@80mtn Summer Sonic 2011 I got whacked upside the head by the foot of a guy doing cartwheels in the mosh. Some blood came out and I had to sit down for a while. Quite a few people I know say I never recovered. The mosh certainly bounced more for MtH's set than the other bands'. I've been at their club gigs where Ue-chan the bassist threw himself with bass in hand into the crowd, and one time didn't get up for about 10 minutes. Nao was scolding him sort of like she scolds them at the end of this vdo.
@@otobokegaijin6218 Of course, X Japan is like the grandfather of big rock/metal band in Japan. A lot of J bands and rock/metal musicians look up to them.
In addition to Akane from Band-Maid, Nao-Chan is a inspiration for Tamu Murata from Nemophila. Listening to Nao-Chan you can definitely hear the influence on the other two. So many great drummers in Japan, it’s almost like it’s the home of drummers.
I absolutely support this recommendation! 🤘🏻 _____________________ _"We all may never know what it is to be ourselves"_ - from *Gacharic Spin* -「 Replica 」 🎶✨
Unless you've seen them before, you might not believe that this is NORMAL for MTH. The surreal changes of genre, change of scene, and breaking the fourth wall are typical MTH. Never a dull moment with MTH: classic Japanese metal.
They have so many songs, they all have different styles thrown, this is one of the more extreme cases but they are one of my fav bands. Hope to see another reaction to one of their songs!
A suggestion would be to do the Nemophila covers (freakin awesome) mixed with the Murata Tamu meets Maximum the Hormone video. MTH vids can get blocked but Koi No Sperma is one Ive seen get uploaded. The band did a dance tutorial video (hilarious) for the song before they did it live so watch the audience do the dance. Now yu can see why Hanabie are like they are as they started as a MTH cover band.
haha i knew u would like this. not every song is quite so chaotic but they are all interesting. i hear so many band influences in these guys. its got punk elements, disco, elevator music, system of a down, tool, and even nu metalish stuff too. love it so much.
might be too late but a little context on the end scene winny is like the napster of japan.... they were saying STOP WINNY like a form of protest against the website itself... but Nao on drums at the back tells him to stop screaming because no one uses Winny anymore and is dead and theres many things to say stop to instead Daisuke asks the kid if she hates Winny too and Nao tells him "no ones doing Winny anymore" and Nao adds stop doing that angry face you look like your mom and Daisuke screams is all...
Winny is joke about the Metallica vs Napster California court case that focused on copyright infringement, racketeering, and unlawful use of digital audio interface devices. The joke is that Winny (the Japanese Napster) was already closed when Maximum The Hormone did this song. They laugh at Metallica wanting more $$$$$.
Yoshu Fukushu is a masterpiece and I think the best starting point for MTH. Unfortunately they block quite a bit of reactions. Nemophila’s 2 covers of Shimi and Zetsubou Billy (Death Note song) are both incredibly well done.
Love this MV! Here's a great vid of Akane, Band-Maid's drummer, from 10 years ago, doing a drum play along to MTH's song 'Benjo Sandal Dance' - ruclips.net/video/2O4vxkzjni8/видео.html
Welcome to Maximum the Hormone, lol.
MTH is one of Japan's leading bands! They definitely add a sense of humor and playfulness to their music!
The video shows the normal path of a band... first live in an industrial ruin, then a video with great CGI effects to end up being a commercial pop punk band.

I never saw this video like dat before... holy shxt your fkn right 🤣💀

Maximum The Hormone ... is your HORMONE at MAXIMUM level.
Next song: Yoshu Fukushu (Preemptive revenge) or Hungry Pride.
So many amazing songs to check out by this band:
'Yoshu Fukushu'
'Koi no Sperm'
'VAP'

Actually probably X Japan are covered the most often.
@@otobokegaijin6218 I really want to hear the 'injured at a show' story! 🙂

Yes, you need to listen to Yoshu Fukushu, a masterpiece!!!!
I absolutely support this recommendation! 🤘🏻

What's up with the women in Japan? They are all badass drummers.
You’re absolutely right!!!
@@JustDunk Akane of Band-Maid was inspired by Nao Kawakita (drummer of MtH) to start playing the drums. Akane also does a drum cover of a MtH song
Nao and Ryo Kawakita! Nao is the inspiration for BAND-MAID drummer, Akane Hirose. BTW, Nao is Ryo's elder sister.

this was awesome dude! I love the Japanese music rabbit holes you're going down! I'm 1000% here for it
More MTH please 😂🔥💪

great reaction, this group is awsome.

That was pretty wild. This guys are fucking awesome
Japanese are really living at another level 😁😁
The Japanese metal scene is pretty fucking nuts man. So many good bands.

Nice reaction 💥

Maximum the Hormone is like if Mr. Bungle was mostly influence by mid 90- early 2000s music.
Lol and hahaha 😂 Wtf is all I need to hear from MTH🤘

Winny = Napster , pero en Japón . La ultima parte es una denuncia de este programa y un pedido a sus fan s , para q no lo usen .
Buena reacción .
There's also a band called Winnie and they are pretty good.
Hope to see some Broken By The Scream reactions here at some point since we're already deep into the Japanese music scene.
I suggested it in his suggestion section. He did one of my suggestions so far.
Ryo said respect system of a down.
Dunk, MTH just dunked on you.
Big time!!!
Hanabie started as a Maximum the Hormone cover band, so.......
Was fun and excited? That's all
I’m here to support Akane Hirose’s favorite band
