What a wonderful series of vlogs to watch to get back into your videos again. I don't think 20 minutes have ever gone by as quickly as when I watched these. Side Note: Christy, you are absolutely radiant. Maybe it's the post-onsen glow, maybe not. Just worth mentioning.
I wish I saw this when I was in Japan last month.. I was in Hakone Feb 1st just for a day trip and I could have done the onsen at that place too as I passed that hotel that day. Love Hakone! Went there in January 2020 and stayed for a few days and fell in love w Hakone and onsens. Take care!
Can I just say...I LOVED your facial expression after you slipped! Commenting on your past self...super funny! I'm glad you didn't get hurt or eaten...and that you had such a lovely time! Thank you for sharing your trip with us Christy!
I can't believe all of that was just one day! What a beautiful and magical day though. Thank you so much for all of this beautifully shot and edited, sensory stimulating sight seeing! ✨💛✨
*tears up* ahh i can't believe it has been this long since you talked about feeling proud of yourself and how you felt so excited because it was your first paid writing trip! that video was one of the first times i specifically remember feeling silly proud of a human being i didn't even know in real life. crazy how time flies and things change and grow. and now look! you're a published author with a sold out book and working on another. aww heck *tears up again*
I love your videos so much with all of my heart! Your channel is my comfort place, you and your channel hold a very very special place in my heart! I’m glad you enjoyed your trip to Hakone, since it has always been my dream to go there! ❤️
So glad you made it back to Japan, we all know how much you have missed it. You capture the most beautiful scenes and present them to us wonderfully. Thank you for sharing your joy of being back in Japan.
so glad i discovered your channel! this is such a lovely video. will you keep making content about writing your novel? i've found those so inspiring and comforting
Beautiful, beautiful walk Christie. I really wanted to buy your book but it’s so expensive here in Poland. Someday I will buy it for sure the video was beautiful. Also I’m going to Japan in two weeks and I’m so excited about this. I wish I could meet you there ha ha ha have a beautiful day
This vlog was absolutely beautiful, so I feel weird commenting on the convenience store onigiri right at the start, but I basically used to live on onigiri when I lived in Japan and seeing you open one brought back so many memories!
I’ve never heard of an onset before so I’ve been learning about them since this video! I love what these Japan blogs are teaching me, an onset sounds so lovely and meditative 🥹
Nice to see you in Amazake Chaya again. When I went to Japan a few years ago, I went with my friend to Amazake Chaya based on your recommendation from earlier videos. :) It was absolutely amazing!
Glad you didn’t get hurt, Christy! How nice to recover with a hot onsen!!Really love that we stumbled upon your channel, you make such calming and aesthetic videos and you’re lovely to listen to! We’re heading back to Tokyo soon and this makes me so excited to rediscover parts of it all over again. Well wishes to you and thank you for sharing!💕
Thank you for sharing your experience!! It allowed me to recall our trip to Hakone back in 2016, where we did 80% of what you showed, only backwards (+ a private outdoor onsen in a fancy ryokan) 😅 I wish I had filmed and made a vlog for myself back then, it’s such a shame I didn’t! This alone is a good reason to start vlogging I guess… anyways, I’m glad I have your channel in my subscriptions and can reminisce about my Japan adventures now that I have two small kids, thank you! 😊
In the past year or so, I've really become interested in Japanese culture. I hope to visit Japan for an extended period (maybe a month? Fingers crossed!) in the next couple of years. Will definitely buy your book to see what else you recommend and learn more about your personal experiences in Japan!
another great video! I always and still do love to go to Japan, I think it is one of the beautiful places in the world (despite never been!) I love studio ghibli movies and kingdom hearts and Final Fantasy games (other anime movies and shows, I even watched a japanese drama called Mother (2006, I think.) and another one, tomorrow mom won't be here and a few more here and there, I also have a few favorite Japanese singers such as Koda Kumi and Utada Hikaru. i honestly can't wait for another writing vlog, you help me focus through them especially during a writer's block. my novel, Fallen has got 70611 words. (it's gene is a fantasy/romance novel) I'm currently on chapter 20 and only got six or five to go (originally the novel was suppose to have 25 chapters, but it went to 26 on the first draft and I'm hoping it'll be the same.)
Nice! I'm planning a day trip to Hakone from Tokyo as well. I've been wondering though: does it make sense to purchase a Hakone Ticket, even though you can only visit for a day? I planned a similar route to yours and I'm not sure about the prices and the overall timetable for my trip.
loved this! can’t wait to see more from your group trip soon 😆 why’d you cover up your tattoo if you’re also wearing a sweater? just wondering what people with a lot of tattoos would do 😅😟
Your videos are always so relaxing to watch :) btw I have a question for you, so hopefully you don't mind. What program do you use to write your novel? I've just started writing my book, and I would like some recommendations on what writing programs that are available. ✨🥸

The music you selected for the background while in Hakone perfectly captured the feeling of that area. Perfect, just perfect. Thank you
