I had a snarky comment queued up, but really, the experience looks like it was too much fun for that. The day looked gorgeous (if hot), and just the enthusiasm for everything really comes through. I think that's some of your best off-ride footage yet.
@@coaster365 You are right, it is fine, but because they aren't receiving any investments from SF, I rather drive 6 hours to go to a new park instead of 30 minutes to go to my home park 😅
Glad you did the haunted hospital. That's the best thing in the park (not Eejanaika). I also think the height of Eeja is a widely spread mistake. It doesn't look taller then the other two 4Ds. Or nearly the same height as Fujiyama, right?
Also in the camp that my '19 rides were significantly smoother and better then my most recent rides on X2 in '22/'23. At this point I've pretty much sworn off the California ride. Given what everyone's saying now about Eejanaika. If I do go back to Japan next year, tempted to skip Fuji Q and just live with the memories...
Ya know I was honestly thinking the same thing. While X2 looks sliiiightly smaller, Eejanaika definitely did not look, or feel that much bigger. And correct, Fujiyama looked wayyy taller. Very interesting 🤔
I've always thought I would probably hate X2 and love Eejanaika. Your report on its "smoothness" kind of makes me wonder: will I hate them both? Will Eejanaika be just comfortable enough? Will I actually still enjoy X2? I usually hate rough coasters, especially rough steel coasters. However, I actually really liked Nighthawk at Carowinds, which I hear horrible reviews of. I found the restraints of Nighthawk are actually really comfortable and make up for the shakiness. What I've heard of X2 is that the restraints are brutally uncomfortable.
I would personally be stunned if anyone had a different opinion of X2 vs. Eejanaika, as like I said, they’re both very similar. I’d say if you like Nighthawk, you would enjoy both haha
If you have any good FujiQ tips please let me know. Is the best strategy to get fast passes right away in the morning? Do you have to go to each of the coasters to purchase them? I've heard their isn't any sort of all day fast pass wristband.
There definitely isn’t an all day wrist band. I wasn’t in charge of handling the fast passes, but you can get into the park 30min early if you buy that add on. It also helps going weekday vs weekend for sure. I don’t believe you have to go to the coaster to buy them but don’t quote me on that haha
I declare that "Steepest drop" is the dumbest type of coaster record. The S&S Screamin Squirrel would automatically have taken it except that people seem to classify that as a "saxophone inversion" rather than a drop. So the absolute limit to how steep a beyond-vertical drop can get has nothing to do with physics or economics or the human body, but with the definition of the threshold between a drop and an inversion. (I think most sources would say it's 135 degrees.) (And I *like* beyond-vertical drops. A lot. My home-park favorite has one. But chasing records there is ridiculous.)
Maaaaan I wouldn’t be surprised if American Dream fabricated the drop being steeper on Shellraiser. Thorpe Park lied about Stealth, and… actually a lot of stats have been proven to be lies including Desperado’s top speed. Candymonium is suspiciously one mph faster than Skyrush? I don’t believe any of these folks in the theme park industry with roots in the carnie showman business. That’s just to say I appreciate your thoughts on Takabisha haha!
Magic Mountain is definitely a fair comparison!! Calling Nagashima overrated is harsh imo, the lineup after their Top 4 admittedly isn’t the best, but it’s not awful. And wayyyyy smaller of a park land wise than Cedar Point
you're lucky bro, such a great day with great weather
So excited to experience this park with Coaster Crew next year 😃
That trip looks NUTS!! You’re packing in a ton!
Your laughter after you got off is so good!
😊❤️
Looks amazing! Thank you for sharing, and super thrilled for you! And definitely, a best scenery video would be cool :)
Noted 😁 - and thank you! ❤️
It's been great watching your videos from Japan! Such a wonderful trip I bet.
Thank you!! Omg it was a legit dream

That means a lot Brian, we were BEYOND blessed with just perfect lighting (Nagashima... not so much 😂)
I'm so happy for you man. Also like Megan's "I'm in danger" Ralph Wigam reference

You should definitely do a list of your favorite parks for scenery and beauty!! great vid!!! ❤

Who is that ridiculously handsome, almost 50 year old, man in the Seahawks shirt and Kreator cap walking behind you as you leave Eejanaika?
😂😂😂

That’s a fair take, I’ll be honest the math/stat semantics of the hobby has never been something I’ve really cared to do a dive into haha

You could very well be right! Honestly hard to tell on ride which was technically steeper lol
This looks like the Magic Mountain of Japan. Nagashima looks more overrated lake the Cedar Point of Japan
