Why play off a WRs 11yds when they only need 3.. No one is mentioning how the 49ers spotted the Eagles an entire 1st quarter because of how slow they came out and still hung 42 on them. Scored on every single drive down the field.
That happens in all sports. The 49ers weathered the storm on the road. After that, the counter punch came. That's always what happens. The home team controls and stays in control, or they don't do enough and the road team counter punches.

Man, I am so relieved that the 49ers hung on and outlasted the Eagles. This was such a close game and the Eagles were making a major comeback. They had the Niners on the run! Their defense had our offense stumped, and they were running up and down the field on our outmatched defense. I had to hold my breath until the clock ran out because this game's outcome was in question up to the last second. Good thing this was a home game for the Niners, because they would have gotten blown out if it were played in Philli.
This game was in Philly that’s what makes the niners win more impressive they went into some else’s building and put the smack down on them

Keep in mind that the Niners have had _two_ Thursday Night games this season (hosting the Giants early on, then going to Seattle on Thanksgiving Night), and have the most rest disadvantage (had the most games where their opponent came off a bye).

All these people saying that the 49ers had 10 days rest, and the Eagles had a tough game against the Bills. Well the reason the 49ers had extra days before this game was because they had played a road game, against a division opponent, in Seattle on Thanksgiving, on only 4 days rest the week before this. Did they lose that game because of the short week? No.
That's just what I was telling another friend of mine. Niners played a game Nov 19 and then shellacked the Seahawks Thanksgiving day on only 4 days rest and they traveled to Seattle too. So all these "they were tired" excuses are weak AF!

Im a 54 yr old 49er fan and I really like Keyshawn. He was awesome when he played and all but now this more mature version(not saying he was immature- time marches on) of him is fun and smart. He's urbane and genuine and the type of guy I like to hear from.

49ers came out sluggish bc they were trying to drop back and pass. Once they started running their offence, which is run the ball and set up play action along with some screens and misdirection, the game looked totally different.
That's what the Eagles should have done, too. We're a much better team when we establish and stick to the run. Like you said, it sets up the play action and gets the defense on their heels. There's no reason Hurts should be throwing the ball 40 times.

QB draws in the red zone were hated by fans early in the season but I’d much prefer that than what I’m seeing now. I’m hoping that when Goedert returns, we’ll trust our run game more.

It could have been 14-0 if the Eagles could beat the 49ers' defense but they couldn't. Unless Brock Purdy and the team got the offense running the Eagles would have won, the score doesn't matter. They would have won. But Brock Purdy and the team pulled it together (Shanahan scheme got better) and the smashed the Eagles. The "comeback" is coming back from a stalled and failing offense.

49ers deserve the props and respect. Painful to watch the Eagles go down that way. But there are worse games to have this happen to. I'm always a firm believer in respecting your opponent. When you have talent and worked hard the only thing that can truly keep you from success is your own arrogance and understimations. This has to be the moment the team evaluates some things looking ahead on meeting them again in the playoffs.
With that said though, Skip is mentally ill if he believes that this loss somehow says anything about his Cowboys.

It's pretty amazing how they're playing. As a Bears fan I look at great teams like the Cowboys, Lions and the Eagles and the 49ers look so much better than those teams. This is a good conference with elite teams but Niners are in beast mode. I think the Cowboys can play with them and the Lions have a shot but they gotta be perfect. It should be fun these next few weeks.
The Eagles were pretty much perfect and still lost. No turnovers on either side, same amount of penalty yards, so there were no mistakes….Eagles just got outplayed straight up. The better team won. They’ve slaughtered every playoff team. These crew is unstoppable at this point.

The issue for Dallas is they need Philly to lose twice to get the division. 1) the Eagles have 1 conference loss, while Dallas has 3. 2) Philly owns a strength of schedule tie break. That early loss to Arizona looms large for Dallas right now.

As a Niners fan, real happy to see them get back on this game. Having that mental advantage when we meet them next time will help a lot. We have to give props to that Philly o-line as it protected Hurts like a wall. There was one play where they completely obliterated our d-line. What shocked me was that our secondary can be elite if they want to be. They are the ones that kept the birds from putting huge yardage. Hurts couldnt find anybody to throw that ball. If our secondary plays the way they played in Linc then I can rest easy. If they don't, this becomes a trench war. So let's not overlook them just because we blew them on this game.

In the middle of the game there was a catch made by AJ Brown where he was quickly surrounded by four 49er defenders and he (wisely?) dropped himself to the ground to avoid getting hit hard. Go find it and compare it to ANY of the 49er players after they catch a ball. This is the biggest difference between the Niners and everybody else. It's why the Niners are often injured but it's also the reason they can beat the pants off your team. Totally different mindset.
They were getting dominated at that point. I think avoiding injury was smart in that moment. Best believe AJ brown isn’t doing that in a close game or first quarter. I’ve seen him doing it many times. I do agree niners are very physical tho

As a 49er fan, statistically speaking, if people look at the overall team rankings of Defense, then Offense, they will see that combining the two Rankings, 49ers are Ranked 1 overall, followed closely by Dallas. So Dallas is a real O/D threat to anyone.

They say if the Eagles played how they did in the 1st quarter they probably would've had a chance in winning.Because they looked dominant. But i think it really was just the Adrenaline rush in the beginning of the game and being at home fueled the eagles a bit. But once you settle down and actually play the game, they found out that they were bitting off more than you can chew.
Once the 3 games in 13 days caught up to them, it was toast.
Once a team gets past the intimidation and bully mentality of Philly and the Link on a dreary night in Dec, they will be ok.

This was a heated game going into it. 49ers had something to prove and they did. Now it’s time for Eagles to prove themselves next week. Eagles fan here. Well deserved victory for the 49ers. They were the better team yesterday. Realistically, if you had told me the Eagles would be 10-2 and Number 1 in the NFC with the best record in the league after going 4-1 in quick succession against the Dolphins, Cowboys, Chiefs, Bills, and 49ers, I’d 100% take it. The Eagles are still the Number 1 seed and control their destiny with 5 games to play. The sky is certainly not falling and the Eagles definitely needed a reality check to recalibrate.
Agreed. We have been winning with all the flaws we have and i believe the coaches have gotten a slap on the wrist since it’s come with a win. Now that we have gotten dominated, i hope the coordinators change ALOT. I think this loss can potentially do more positive for us than negative. We will be ok!
