Thanks Rich for the balanced analysis of the 49ers and Brock Purdy. But... you have to be entertained by the other pundits who ignore Purdy's performances , instead downplay his game for "not looking like an adult, wearing this hat on backwards" and chastising him for not wearing Louis Vutton and sporting a 4lb 24K gold cuban link, blinged out #13 around his neck like the "grown up players". From all of the interviews with the Purdy's, Brock is a God fearing man, securely anchored, humble, respectful of other players and overall fine young man (which you can't say with some other players in the league)... oh and a record breaking quarterback in the NFL. If Purdy didn't get injured during the NFC Championship Game last year and got soundly beaten by the Eagles... then by all means pile on and you'd be justified by being critical of his performance... but that didn't happen and yet some talking heads will still hold on as if Purdy single handedly lost the NFC Championship because he was nothing more than a 12 year old looking college graduate (who stayed for all 4 years btw) that buckled under the bright lights of the NFL when it counted the most. I understand most of these "Monday morning quarterbacks" have been hired to sell advertising cycles, so keep up the ignorant BS statements. Till then the 49ers will keep marching towards the post season and the Super Bowl.
As a Bengals fan I still can't believe how they went out there and beat those Niners, well with a few components missing and by far to me the tone and that offense feeds of #19. Deebo brings that linebacker nastiness every time he gets the football, he's increible to see how iron made this guy is, not many tougher than him. How fast things change in this league, back then the Bengals look invisible and now the kingdom is crumbling after Burrow's injury and lets face it is over because he's our heart and soul of it all.
Ya'll have a good team but Wilks hasn't came down to the sidelines yet? Now he's down on the field and calling our defense we usually run. We get different now 😂😂😂💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
The Eagle fandom already making excuses (refs, tough schedule, injuries) are the same ones who thought playing last year vs. SF’s 3rd string QB was perfectly legit.
To be fair, a lot of Eagles fans on here at least have given the 9ers their flowers, and rightly so. Eagles have been getting by on grit this season, but were just outclassed this time.
Rich Eisen is willing to take a bold stand and give supported opinions of who he believes are the best and why. I love this show because of that. The 49ers handle the Eagles & Jalen Hurts the QB who everyone should concur is an MVP top 3 in Philly, 42-19. Definitely count on them facing each other again in the postseason, cuz this ain't done. The next one is the one that truly matters.
Probably will be Dak if that happens. Seen a big push for Dak as MVP lately and if he manages to beat an actual good team I expect that will become amplified. Purdy will never get the respect he deserves to be MVP front runner. There’ll always be a lame excuse for why he’s not.
Purdy should be in the conversation for sure, but Dak has 3 more TDs, more passing yards, same QBR, and is #2 in passer rating and completion percentage behind Purdy. Both Dak and Purdy have 3 losses and 6 INTs. Tua also should be in the conversation, still at or near the top of the league in yards, TDs, completion percentage, and passer rating despite all of the rushing TDs stealing from his totals and with the same record while playing behind a significantly more injured offensive line than either Dak or Purdy
They put up 42 on the Cowboys and Eagles the other two top contending NFC teams. Could have been easily 50 bombs both games if not for garbage time rest and a slow start yesterday. 49rs aren't just out there dominating top teams they out there taking their SOULS
Seeing this makes me really sad that last years wildcard was niners-Seahawks and not niners-lions. Detroit is the last team in the NFC that hasn’t gotten punked yet, that would be a real heavyweight shootout
@@jimmyc3333 You won a superbowl with a second string QB. Did you win one with the FOURTH string qb? Because that is what josh johnson is. Did you win with the RB playing qb?
Deebo scoring 3 TDs seems very intentional by Shannahans play calling. Deebo calling everyone out and a coach setting him up for success. They’re hard to beat.
I think realistic Eagles fans (there are often few of us) knew that SF is the best team in the league, I’m hoping that now the team will at least take the problems that we’ve had all season more seriously. Not too much we can do now about our serious LB personnel deficiencies or our sluggish DBs, probably, but I’m hoping that at least the scheme can be adjusted to their obvious limitations. Offensively, the game plan just needs to lose that clunky, ad hoc feel it’s had all season and start to adopt the streamlined cleverness that Shanahan makes work so well; we can’t keep trying to brute force plays that just aren’t working out
You guys need 2 things - Healthy players (that's unfortunately difficult to deal with, as a 49ers fan, we know the struggle over the last 5 years especially), and your DBs have got to get a different game plan in place in general... especially knowing half of them are not usually starters (IIRC). If your DC & DBs coach can game plan a little more 'help' into the secondary, they can still get pressure on Dak and potentially force some turnovers... but it's going to be tough AF, especially with Dak playing as he has been for the last month. All that said, go 9ers. :P
@@AdamJohnson-h3c Yeah wrt injuries I think the absence of our starting TE hurt us more than anyone is really saying, and obviously our inconsistencies in the secondary due to injuries throughout the season haven’t helped their overall play much. The real issue is that the LBs are just not good, very low ceiling, and the secondary is for the most part aging, slow, and unable to move quickly and make clutch tackles - and our game plan for them at present is designed as if they’re quick and efficient, which they’re not. We’ll what they can do to actually sort that out this season, if anything (obviously I’m hoping something can be done 🦅🦅🦅)
@@tlm19670 Goedert is definitely up there in importance - he is a playmaker, but also a terrific safety valve for Hurts, so him not being there definitely was another box checked in the offensive struggles.

Your defense is all front-four pass rush. The back seven are trash and you can't play the run in any unit. You're 29th in points surrendered per drive for a reason.
49ers offense: Have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in again?
Niners were like Denzel in Man on Fire. Had revenge on the mind and executed it mercilessly.
Been a niner fan since ‘11. That had to be the most satisfying game ive seen. Way to go.
My best game was our last superbowl win
“Why are the 49ers the favorite against the eagles?”-Everyone when the spread came out.
That's what they said before the Jacksonville game and we saw what happened. No one seemed to realize we were seeing the same thing.
Football is so strange. it’s one of the most cerebral strategic games where you must be intelligent to succeed. The biggest fans are not smart.
The Eagle were on pure adrenaline in the first Qtr. When that wore off they were done. The OLD Deebo from a couple years ago is back. Strong as hell. Unstoppable. Plus the greatest team psyche job in a long time.
Exactly. People want to make excuses for them but they were amped up at a unsustainable level of excitement. Once that wore off they were donezo.
Purdy 314 yds 4 TD 0 int's. MVP
"quiet assassin" nice one by Rich!! LOL!!
That baby face assassin 😂
Deebo 21 - Eagles 19.
Deebo alone outscored the Eagles.
Deebo out here kicking extra points now
Deebo scored 18
@@expatveteran7815
In theory yes but he does not score those touchdowns the kicker will not get the chance to score the extra point.
Thus in practice the touchdown is 7 points as it is rare when the extra point is missed.
He scored morE Tuddys than the Eagles TEAM
They should let him kick an extra point or three just to see
"Bambi with fangs" 👏👏👏
You threw me off. I thought you were a Niners fan until the end. I hope we see your squad at their best and may the best team win. Cheers.
PREACH.
@@TheKurgain 3rd Generation San Franciscan. Thanks for pointing out the confusing last sentence... I've edited it to clarify my personal stance. LOL.
@@topcover22 I was overly impressed with your analysis of the situation especially as a perceived Eagles fan. Makes way more sense now. 😁
There’s countless religious ppl in the NFL, who thank god whenever they have success. Brock may wear it different, but there’s a lot of it in the NFL.
We get different now 😂😂😂💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
5:20 Rich on Brock Purdy: "He's Bambi with fangs." 😂🤣
They got to see cmc play rb and not qb this time
People don’t give Trent enough credit man! Yall gota start giving props to da guys in da trenches
Trent gets lots of love. He single handedly makes national pundits think we have a decent Oline.
Listening to Rich gleam about Purdy and how wonderful it must feel for the organization/fans felt like a subtle jab at the Jets haha
The Eagle fandom already making excuses (refs, tough schedule, injuries) are the same ones who thought playing last year vs. SF’s 3rd string QB was perfectly legit.
My favorite I've heard multiple times is that they had "tired legs"
It wasn’t SFs third string QB, it was no QB at all, and CMC being under center just so they wouldn’t get hit with illegal formations
To be fair, a lot of Eagles fans on here at least have given the 9ers their flowers, and rightly so. Eagles have been getting by on grit this season, but were just outclassed this time.
we didnt even have a qb lol
You're an absolute LEGEND Rich!!
The next one is the one that truly matters.
we are ecstatic, thank you Rich
Eagles got puckled, deboned, dunked in a fryer, shredded and served in a hoagie, covered with cheese with a side fries.
49ers eat birds for dinner
Not good news for the ravens in a few weeks
“Bambi with fangs” 😂😂 I like “The quiet assassin”
Eagles coaching staff got out coached… Shanahan made adjustments & went to his bag lol
Cowboys fan here.....Cali Native.....the 49ers are there....still rooting for Apocalypse.....❤🎉
Thanks for always supporting your other “son” Brock! 😊
Love me some Rich Eisen Lovin’ on my 49ers‼️❣️
Love nothing more in sports than when someone tells you what’s going to happen beforehand, then does that exact thing. It was personal for SF.
EXCELLENT coverage and analysis Rich.
If Dallas beats the Eagles in Dallas next week, Purdy has to be favourite for MVP
This time, and only this time, I’m rooting for Dallas. The 49ers want that #1 seed.
I think at this point it’s Brock and Dak. Jalen maybe could get back in the race but that’s about it.
Lol lamar can get it if he beats the 49ers
"He's Bambi with fangs." Hahaha, love it! 😂🔥
The Lions defence worried me against the Bears, I'd say it's likely to get shredded against the 9ers right now
Jared Goff does not want to play the Niners again. Trust me.@@rohanshah7559
Excellent Rich!
Purdy is MVP. 🏆
Rich the GOAT in the biz!
Wait, philly fans weren't actually STUPID enough to believe that not having a starting QB impacts the game right?
Yeah we won a Superbowl with one.
foles was ballin. completely out his skull. way different. i bet you dont even get to the bowl with wentz that year@@jimmyc3333
@@jimmyc3333 You won a superbowl with a second string QB. Did you win one with the FOURTH string qb? Because that is what josh johnson is. Did you win with the RB playing qb?
Since spending time in Iowa helping harvest, Purdy has been on fire. John Deere needs to work with him for an endorsement deal.
It's always fun to see Philly fans during a loss. I don't know why but Philly has the most obnoxious but yet hilarious fan bade 😂
I am completely ecstatic! Thanks Rich. Love you guys.
If the Niners play like they played yesterday there is no one in the league that can touch them.
We gave Philli a 15 minute head start and still layed 42 inches of pipe on them. 10/10 would be happy to run it back.
Absolute annihilation
Deebo scoring 3 TDs seems very intentional by Shannahans play calling. Deebo calling everyone out and a coach setting him up for success. They’re hard to beat.
You got to love this guy if your A 49ers fan and faithful in which I am Bang Bang 49ers Gang
“He’s Bambi with fangs” 😂😂😂
"Bambi with fangs" 😂😂😂
SF the clear cut #1 with nobody really close to them at all.
and Philly has been overrated for weeks.
Mr. Irrelevant is extremely relevant now.
Bambi with fangs!!!
This is an exciting and jubilant time to be a 49ers fan. Am estatic.............
Thank you for your classy post here
@@AdamJohnson-h3c Yeah wrt injuries I think the absence of our starting TE hurt us more than anyone is really saying, and obviously our inconsistencies in the secondary due to injuries throughout the season haven’t helped their overall play much. The real issue is that the LBs are just not good, very low ceiling, and the secondary is for the most part aging, slow, and unable to move quickly and make clutch tackles - and our game plan for them at present is designed as if they’re quick and efficient, which they’re not. We’ll what they can do to actually sort that out this season, if anything (obviously I’m hoping something can be done 🦅🦅🦅)
ya clevelands defense was 10x more stout than the eagles..
@@tlm19670 Goedert is definitely up there in importance - he is a playmaker, but also a terrific safety valve for Hurts, so him not being there definitely was another box checked in the offensive struggles.
So proud of this team. We will have a strong standing for a few years. Probably one of the greatest teams ever
Bambi m, with fangs!!!😂😂😂😂😂 that was good😂😂
The Niners are way too talented to not win it all!!!
Great show Rich.
And that's why the NFL is the most amazing sport. You think you know everything, and find out you know nothing. Any Given Sunday
Rich Eisen's ability to paint and articulate a story is so underrated. Take notes talking heads, this is a masterclass in how you tell stories. Love ya, Rich!
As an Eagles fan you really have to give credit where credit is due to the 49ers. The niners were the better team yesterday and they won. Hopefully the Eagles makes the corrections they need to make. The writing has been on the wall for weeks. A lost during this stretch of top teams was inevitable…I just didn’t want it to be against the chiefs or 49ers lol
Gonna a hard one for the eagles this coming week. They have have the chiefs lacked when they faced you. Receivers who can actually catch the ball. The only thing you have in your favor is Dak will sometimes Dak.
Eagles just got gashed by a subpar offensive line. Cowboys O’line is better than S.F. If Dak don’t Dak, gonna be a long day for the iggles.
@@thatguy2408 Dak had a great game the first time they played and they still lost tho....
@@MrCjjuengstIirc Dallas lost by only 3 points to the Eagles so they def have a chance to win this game. It's not like they're the Pats or the Panthers
@@thatguy2408don't think there's too much cause for concern just yet. Goedart should be back for Dallas, he's such a vital part of diversifying their offence. The 49ers also had 10 days to prepare for this game whilst the Eagles have had their very tough schedule period. Think fatigue started showing after the first quarter. This game is going to be a belta if we see it again in the playoffs
@@nbafromuk426 no. The cause for alarm already started before the niners came to town. Eagles d giving up too many yards. Been a trend. Getting Leonard might help a little. Not by that much cuz your 3rd level is still mighty suspect.

Niners gave up a lot for Trey but at the end of the day it’s a wash because they have a quarterback that is great!
