This version of Thriller has such a feel-good vibe! I guess you’ll watch it again and pick up on some things you might’ve missed during this reaction, such as some of the horn players switching instruments in that bridge section, and what exactly is happening to that crazy groove there… ;) There is a video of someone dissecting it (link below), and it’s nuts! Oh, and the credits are worth watching, too :) I think the arrangement is incredible and the chops of everyone involved just amazing. And as always with DLoops, Aron and Henrik work together as the perfect team. Love that you appreciate Dirty Loops! I'm a huge fan of them and if you aren't already, you will be after checking out Dirty Loops further. The drummer and bass player are childhood friends and attended music school together in Sweden. That's where they met the vocalist/ keyboard player and they formed Dirty Loops. Aron the drummer and Henrik the bassist used to jam five days a week to see how long they could stay in the pocket, that's why they are so tight. The two of them studied jazz while Jonah studied classical theory. Check out some of their cover videos from back in about 2011. I suggest Hit Me, although I don't think it's a cover song. It was written by Andreas Carlsson, who has written songs for tons of stars. I subbed mostly because of your Dirty Loops reaction, but if I understand correctly, Luke is a drummer. My late husband was a professional drummer from the age of 14 until he passed away in 2021 at the age of 68. Like Luke, he was a big teddy bear of a man. We were together for 38 years.
Have you paused the channel, or will you check out "Work shit out" anytime soon? That one, and "Next to you", you really should at least listen to them yourselves! "Rock you" is really well done as well (they aimed for another word than "rock", but went for rock in the end; had the audience at a concert sing the original lyrics though).
Just curious on how you're setup. Is the audio from the video a wired connection or are we may be picking it up off the laptop speakers to the mic? I'm on a DL reaction binge and when this one strted your vocals sound fine but the video vocals are distant/muted a bit. Just thought I'd let you know. Love the reaction guys! I'm going to go see if you've done any others. I subscribed.
So in the past we have gone with headphones and played them used the audio straight from the video. We were running into issues hearing each other during the song though, so we switched to speakers. We’re going to make the switch back soon to provide a better experience for you all! Thanks for subscribing!
