One time late at nite I was playing an online multiplayer game and the internet went out. With this game that meant you would be logged out in the open and anyone passing by could kill you gaining experience points.
So I grabbed my laptop and jumped into my truck still in my sleep pajamas and went up to my job to use the WiFi in the parking lot so I could log back into the game and put myself into a port to be safely logged out for the session.
Well as I’m doing this a cop car pulls in and starts asking me what I’m doing in this parking lot so late at night so I explained I was playing a game and lost internet so came up to my jobs parking lot to log back on and put myself into a safe area then go home.
Cop was skeptical but I then leaned back so he could see the laptop on my trucks center console and we had a chuckle then both left.
My funny late night story. All this while wearing pajamas in my truck 😂

Coos just do it anyways cause most of them can get away with it or cause they have a quota to meet so they do it and hope you “out” yourself. It’s still not legal. it's not out of the realm of possibility to expect that someone can have insider information when attempting to break in. Furthermore, such help will also show points of security weakness further past physical security which, without the help of the PoC may not have been detected.

That coupled with a hard collision against a barnacled hull. Neither blowing water wings, nor dumping gear is going to overcome that crushing downward pressure that pulls down then sends one hurling toward the prop.

There are ways to descend from a 12ft ledge in a somewhat safer manner. You may need a bit of upper body strength. But what you can do is lower yourself down so you hang from your hands. This will reduce the distance you have to fall. If you really are stuck, it may keep you from breaking your feet.

    Decriminalize freedom!
Feedom of movement may be enshrined in the US Constitution, but that right is regularly violated by harrassment from local law enforcement, which pisses me off for good reasons. I drive around slowly at night behind businesses at the edge of towns, at certain times of year. I’m looking for wildlife of all kinds when I do this, but especially snakes. I am a reptile hobbyist, like a bird watcher, but I watch for non-bird reptiles. They call it “herping” and it is not a crime. Lots of folks have had their constitutional right to freedom of movement in public spaces violated, in recent years, but for those of us with uncommon nocturnal hobbies have been getting it for a long-ass time. I do understand that the constitutional right has to do with freedom of movement between states, but that also applies to my hobby very directly, so if you feel the need to correct me, don’t. I’m well aware, thanks, champ.
As for why I am sometimes near certain business-types at the edge of town, that’s my personal herper trade secret. When police ask me, I tell them, but I am not here to give away my snake chasing secrets.
I have also been harrassed by non-law-enforcement people as well. Sometimes I am left with the distinct impression that I got too close to a cartel handoff or dead drop. I shit thee not. I would rather talk to the sheriff than some cartel thugs or over-zealous nearby landowners.

Been following for a minute and these red team stories, while not my favorite, are interesting. Especially the couple I remember you recounting where they were caught. I can't help but wonder if pen testing is something minorities just shouldn't or can't do. Especially when security is already suspicious of you.
