It’s amazing where I have gotten into unchallenged as a copier tech over the years. Army bases, banks, police stations, ambulance and fire stations just to name a few… When you have that tool case and it looks like you know what your doing and where your headed …. Door will open.
One time late at nite I was playing an online multiplayer game and the internet went out. With this game that meant you would be logged out in the open and anyone passing by could kill you gaining experience points. So I grabbed my laptop and jumped into my truck still in my sleep pajamas and went up to my job to use the WiFi in the parking lot so I could log back into the game and put myself into a port to be safely logged out for the session. Well as I’m doing this a cop car pulls in and starts asking me what I’m doing in this parking lot so late at night so I explained I was playing a game and lost internet so came up to my jobs parking lot to log back on and put myself into a safe area then go home. Cop was skeptical but I then leaned back so he could see the laptop on my trucks center console and we had a chuckle then both left. My funny late night story. All this while wearing pajamas in my truck 😂

it's not out of the realm of possibility to expect that someone can have insider information when attempting to break in. If anything, if they were helped by the point of contact and only caught much later on it demonstrates a lot of security issues in the organisation. Furthermore, such help will also show points of security weakness further past physical security which, without the help of the PoC may not have been detected.
