  • Freakyclown (or "FC") is a professional physical penetration tester, and has probably robbed more banks than history's most infamous thieves. He shares some wild stories of snatching gold bars, stealing a helicopter, and hacking government buildings, all in the name of stronger security.

Yes FC, I met you about a decade ago in Preston at uclan when you did a talk for the game programming class about what you do and later a class you tried to teach. You invited me to a dinner with some of the other students and I always regretted not going and chatting with you some more. 21:45 Omg, this is such a dead give away of "Yes, I did." because if he never worked for them he would just say no. This is like the whole situation around putting alcohol in a paper bag thing. It's the best way to conceal that it is alcohol if you drink it in public, but it also makes it completely obvious that you are drinking alcohol because who just puts a bottle of fruity juice in a paper bag and drink it from the bag? The bag conceals, but it also reveals.

In the last, I was caught by security at one point and escorted back to the front. Front office comment was “but that’s just Jack!”. I never had malicious intent, so it was just fun to try how far I could push it. Hobbies are great! Also, it’s very different for people that security/staff are used to seeing vs a stranger.
