- The Skoda Kushaq is a very special SUV for Skoda India, being the car maker's first 'made in India, for India' SUV under its India 2.0 strategy. And it's name is derived from the Sanskrit word 'Kushak' which means Young Emperor. So we took the Kushaq to show it the very country it intends to rule, taking it across every possible terrain our country has to offer, from the sea to the sand to the snow. The Kushaq is also the most powerful SUV in its class, powered by the 1.5 TSI engine that offers 150PS and 250Nm. The engine itself boasts state of the art construction and features cutting-edge technology like active cylinder technology and plasma-coated cylinders. We drove the Kushaq for 4,000km in just about a week's time, driving it from Mumbai to Rajasthan and onwards to Himachal Pradesh to show it some snow and in the process also got to experience Skoda's ever-expanding network, as the brand now has presence in more than 175 cities in the country. It's fully synthetic oil for all vw ag cars.

Not a sensible choice with 1.5 for this video..80% people own 1.0 but you choose this..cannot relate at all
Thats bcz of the price difference. Most of them chose Ambition model bcz of the features available. 1.5 will give you more mileage than 1.0 infact :)

Iam driving 1.0 in himachal with 4 people mostly and the car has not disappointed me. Overtaking in hills is the most difficult task and we need a car with decent power and Kushaq puts a smile on my face when I press the throttle.

It's been almost a year since I have been driving the automatic version of this car. Recently I drove from Pune to Ernakulam. It's a pleasure to drive this car over long distances. The headlights could have been a little better though

All this is okay. But, petrol is at Rs. 123 per litre in Maharashtra. Even if I buy I won’t be able to drive much. 😕
Other affordable car is Nexon EV which has poor range. Kona is out of budget.
I wish skoda and vw would have not compromised on the build quality of Kushaq..the earlier cars were much stronger...
