Jonny Perla well, they have to concentrate to camouflage. When they get their prey they become happy and involuntarily change colors. Like a celebratory dance.

Maybe it's eyes cannot see pink in general. Or it's chromatophores don't support becoming pink.

cuttlefish cant mimic colors as precisely as you might think. Cuttlefish can mimic colors often found in nature like browns and slight greenish yellows, not pink or blue or red. Some species like Flamboyant Poisonous Cuttlefish care born a certain color and cannot change.
