- A quick video on the newly reprised Iron Banner precision frame bow; "Point of The Stag" now being able to roll with unique perks such as Elemental Capacitor and Slickdraw.
It can also roll with Swashbuckler, allowing it to 1 shot headshot guardians even at 10 resilience after a melee kill. Previously this perk was only available on 1 other precision frame bow called the "Biting Winds" from Europa.

Fun fact: Precision frame bow + Weavewalker strand melee is a kill. Meaning you could hit a head shot, immediately send out your infinite range melee attack to finish off the kill and make use of swashbuckler and archer’s tempo. And you can get up to 3 charges of that melee meaning you can replicate it almost always.
Same with hunter, although you only get one. However, you can jump in the air and keep the bow drawn, which is way better than having three charges.

Eruption is so much fun, way more fun than "here's the slow crawl to an L because your teammates cannot understand to just go from A to B and disregard capping C so we always know where the enemy team is coming from and they can't make a push for our zones"

@@utilitylaptop3298 People who play this game have zero foresight, you know how many times I've held zones by myself (to the bitter end) because I foresee a spawn flip and so I go to our half of the map on, say, Wormhaven and I get a red radar ping, and a ping becomes two becomes four as the enemy starts spawning on OUR ZONE.
I have the Variks bow with swash.
The good thing with this one is that it’s in the energy slot which adds variety to the play style.
You can also 1 shot with lightweight bows if they have swashbuckler and you use radiant. It hits for 200.9 damage which does kill all resistances
That’s a double proc vs single proc. That’s the difference
if you need a melee kill and youre solar youll most likely do both, but you make a good point either way @@PawDieFur
Swash on precision frames is still nicer because they completely free your subclass

I'm so lucky that on my second drop of the bow from Saladin I got it. It feels INCREDIBLE to use. I absolutely LOVED the OG Point of the Stag from way back when and I was happy to see it reprised not only with its original perks but many great additions. The draw speed when maxed out is incredibly fast and feels even faster than a lightweight bow. 10/10 bow, would bow again.
No one else is really talking about it... so I shall mention
Its also Arc, so when on a Arc subclass you can become Amplified, so for Arclocks, Strikers, and Melee centered Arcstriders have not just a great 1tap primary, but also Inf. Amplified which just makes this bow more deadly due to the speed factor.

It's been pain dealing with bows, once the entire team were using bows and kept pushing eachother out of cover to try and peak lmfao. So dumb.

I love this Bow so much! I'm glad they brought it back, the only perk would take other than swashbuckler would be box breathing.
i still love tyranny of heaven as it’s light weight for speed and can also one shot as well. but point of the stag is another great alt

I recently got the 5/5 god roll just by pure luck while doing the challenges of Iron Banner. Seeing the perfect bow on my screen made me try to be a bow main as it would be a disgrace for those that don’t have it yet xD Wish me luck y’all lmfao

@@Noynnin my current main build rn is blink warlock with astrocyte verse. This is the first time I would change playstyles so maybe using those speed boots will benefit me. I could also blink into the air, shoot them with the bow and finish them with a melee as I land to proc swashbuckler? How does that sound?
@@Adsik-Slake I personally would not recommend Blink with a bow unless you play farther back
The God Roll bow you have is made for a playstyle thats a little aggressive
The blink animation is too slow and the play with blink is usually a "go from point A to point B" type movement
I recommended solar warlock bc of icarus dash and the snap canceling as well as being able to draw your bow while gliding.
But I would say to mess around with the bow with your build to see if you like it
And then mess around with whatever after to spice things up
@@Noynnin They can snap cancel on console, too. It just requires a little finagling with inputs.
I’ve got about 1000 elims in iron banner this week with various rolls of this bow and I would not be surprised if this ends up being the reason bows get nerfed.
Still no sub 600 draw time rolls, so I guess I’ll need to grind out the next banner week too
Claws of Ahamkara + Radiance is also a great combo when you use this bow

elastic, fiberglass, archers tempo, swash, with masterwork for draw time and of course skulking wolf
I wanted archers tempo dragonfly but got archers tempo swashbuckler with an accuracy masterwork
Thoughts on tripire canary? Ambush stacks with archers tempo meaning it can achieve a 300ms draw time while also hitting the soft reload cap of 70. Would u ever run this over a 540 precision?with archers tempo thats a 405 draw time so slightly better than a 25 percent speed increase.

I focused more than 3 full resets of bows and got 1 bow from postgame rewards... Roughly 60 bows in total, I got swash and archers tempo 3 times, all three have no draw time masterwork or draw time helping string, but one landed with elastic, drawtime mw, swash and... elemental capacitor :(

Been watching you for a bit hynra, recently got a little more confident to try out bows more and have been having actually a lot of fun. Probably wouldn’t have even attempted to use them if it wasn’t for you❤

I spent a long time in Iron Banner this week, and only landed 1 with swash. I can only hope that next IB I can get the god roll
I got to prestige 7 in Iron Banner this week. I got TWO 4 / 5s ((Didn’t get the DT MW)) and I’m still so damn sad about it
i got one with minimum draw time, elemental capacitor + swashbuckler in my first 5 rolls and i didnt even realize what i had on my hands at first..... it's insane

I would have loved to farm point of the stag but until a stasis or strand glaive comes out im probably going to keep using biting winds to pair with my glaives

You know I gotta get the weapon myself first to get footage for the video as well right. And it's not like any other weapon where you can just get the 1 perk you want, you need a good draw time to make the weapon work. Slow draw time bows vs faster ones is the make or break on the weapon.
I've been farming for this but unfortunately the only AT+Swash roll I've gotten doesn't have a good bowstring and no Draw Time MW. It's still good, but 684 Draw Time makes me big sad. Will continue next time IB is around

damn and i just spent like 4 hr on the same empire hunt for a biting winds bow and i missed iron banner meh ill just have to wait i guess

Got one of these before iron banner ended elastic string quick draw master work elemental capacitor (I use strand so that with icuris is 45 airborne effectiveness) and swashbuckler been loveing it now I just need to think of a good secondary for the kinetic slot
One of the exotic sidearms would probably pair nicely (rat king for invis shenanigans, cryo to get the melee kill even easier, travelers chosen for good ability regen, even the strand sidearm could be decent). Also if you have it conditional finality would probably be pretty decent or really any of the kinetic slot shottys that are popular
That's also one of the rolls I would've been fine with, just unlucky with the 612 draw time every time.
612 is the worst number on a bow, subtly mocking you
love my archers tempo and eye of the storm so I can get that 2 tap
So do you not want elemental for the ae on strand or the reload on solar? I think it works really well as a substitute
I like draw time more, I can always use loader, AE is good on strand hunter. If I get one over the other I wouldn't sweat it. I just want a 576 with swash

How come you don’t use fiberglass arrow? My god roll was elastic string, fiberglass arrow, drawtime masterwork, archers tempo and swash. I ended up accuracy masterwork and some other perk instead of fiberglass arrow but it’s still solid.
Accuracy only increases the aim assist fall off. Bow generally have a long range aim assist to begin with. It's like adding range to scout rifles, it's pretty much useless for me.

The issue is archers tempo is ONLY good when using it as a “I’m going to play out in the open the entire time” playstyle. If you corner shot, or hide around corners, the perk is absolutely worthlessZ
It reduces draw time for 3 seconds… that’s plenty of time if you’re peek shooting
@@Vitamin_jp draw time for every bow (except heavy) is less than 1 second. The reduction becomes worthless if you are still firing at that bows base rof. Ie: if it takes .7 for you to fire, you proc it, but then still do .7 for each shot, the perk is worthless since you are still treating each shot as though it dosnt have a faster dt
@@PawDieFur but you can peek before that 0.7 seconds because you procced archers tempo? It makes follow up shots a lot faster.
@@Vitamin_jp but that is IF you do that. But that is also neglecting strafe time. If you strafe to slow, it goes back to my point of ttk with dt. If you strafe to fast, it means you are poking out before you gain that max damage with the hit scan arrow.
I’ve been teaching how’s for years. What this perk is good for is aping. Not regular use

Ive spent all my 20 something engrams for this bow, just to get it on 720 draw time ALL THE TIME!!!! WITH A HANDLING MASTERWORK AND ONE STABILITY MASTERWORK!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!

yeah the probability of getting a usable bow is insane. 1/5 chance for draw time masterwork, 2/7 chance for elastice, and 1/6 for swash. And you pretty much need all 3 of them lol.
@@Hynra Exactly, plus the most frustrating part is.. im a bow main since bows got inteoduced 😅 I got 13k on my biting winds and almost 27k on my OG point of the stag. Oh well, cant wait for next iron banner tho.

idk if its cheating or you've never had a shower but this video has sealed my opinion on never touching pvp...looks miserable
Overall was not impressed in the least by the return of this bow since I don’t use bows in pvp and never will. It would’ve been the perfect chance for bungie to add something cool like volt shot to it which would’ve been awesome and gave everyone a reason to actually grind for it

Bows are definitely the most obnoxious weapon type in pvp. Not only are they supremely annoying to play against, they are boring to use but undeniably effective.
Bows are insanely power crept, but it's also the most fun weapon at least for me. Unlike any other weapon you're not punished for hip-firing even while in the air, making it very mobile if paired with dawnblade or revenant. Most people see them as sluggish weapons which is partly true but the movement capability it offers is just worth the exchange when used with the right subclass (aka subclasses with free air dodges).
Hc/shotty is pretty boring, too.
@@simplylethul might be a bit of a hot take, but I really disagree with that. Hand Cannon shotty was the most fun and skillful meta destiny ever had. You had to be aggressive, you had to hit your headshots, use cover to stop your opponent from 3 tapping you first. You had to move in fast to get the shotgun kill, slide, jump and run to prevent your opponent from lining up that one hit kill. I don't know about you guys, but that's a lot more skillful to me than hanging back in an empowering rift with Wishender picking off weakened opponents.
