@a1234ddf it is completely acceptable for someone with english being his/her second language to talk with an accent or making mistakes on grammar. just please don't brag about it, it's nothing to be ashamed of but trust me it ain't something to be proud of either.

I think you're right, a popular languange nowadays is just like a bridge, letting people to communicate vis-a-vis, no matter how well or cracky it may be, conveyance of ideas is most important. Accent isn't important at all, understand is more important
since england once occupied HK, many chinese people in hong kong were sort of influenced by the way british peoples' accents. I know quite a few people who were taught english in hong kong and now they just have an english accent.

As for Gee she studied in HK not in asustralia she herself have said it more than once that she didn't have the money to studie abraod how can she studied in Australia?

@davidhalifax That's because most young HK people do speak English as it used to be colonized by the British. I moved to Canada for a few years in 1988 and so did many Cantonese from HK and they spoke good and fluent English despite their accents. Also, HK girls... so beautiful.
I am not surprised cos I found that she has talent for languages. She can speak fluent Japanese and Mandarin without a strong accent as well.
